It's been more than 25 years since I've stopped riding. Now I'm back on two wheels with an American Icon, Harley Davidson. I ride 350 days of 365 days and I'll keep on doing it as long as my health allows me to.
Wow that looks great man 👌 you got way more patience than me😂 really like what you've done so far have subscribed to watch the progress and steal a few ideas for my road King 😉
Riding in rain I like a lot, I just wouldn’t do it if I was at home for a starting point. I did leave Indiana a few years ago going home to Texas and had no choice. That was probably my most calming ride I ever had even though I was more alert.
Thank you for owning/driving a quieter Harley. We live 100 yards from a 4 way stop. I hate 99% motorcycles since the owners have to have frickn straight pipes and leave a stop like a drag race.
Hi, I know what you mean, I used to be like that when I didn’t ride but after I’ve encountered few scary incidents, I decided to have a louder muffler and it did save me getting hit by other automobile drivers. I know it’s annoying but like they said, louder muffler save riders. Cheers!!!
Hello, î’m living In France and I recently bought a used 2019 road king vivid black like yours. i am very happy with it. So, i noticed you have hand guards on your bike and would like to know where you have found them please. Are they metal or plastic made ? I like your video and thé goût pro 7 si top ! Have nice trips. Éric
Hi Eric, I bought it from amazon two years ago. It's pretty good for flying debris, rains and cold winds but if I wear in the winter with a thicker gloves might not be good idea to use it if you have a big hand. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/Customs-Handguards-Touring-2014-2020-Hydraulic/dp/B087ZKDHXK/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=V6ZTSUT8DMI&keywords=hand%2Bguards%2Bmotorcycle%2Bharley&qid=1647589382&sprefix=hand%2Bguard%2Caps%2C62&sr=8-3-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE5SlJIMUdSOU84NTAmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAyOTcyMTUyTjNEUTZLTllTNlU2JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA5ODg0OTExOFNYUVdLS0pQVkNGJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 Thank you watching and good day!
@@roadkingronnylee595 Thank.s a lot for your advice. It is my first HD and I appreciate the cruising attitude. I am looking for stage 1. Just for sound…and my pleasure. Best.
@@ericfaure8099 Yeah, I did the stage 1 and there is good throttle response, must have for M8. Now, I'm on the stage 2 with Red shift 468 torque cam with thundermax , it's a beast for 107 m8. Happy ridding!!!
Even in the rain, that friggin bike is gorgeous. The black with the chrome just pops big time. I have a 2018 lowrider, it's black with chrome. I get alot of compliments. Btw, interesting idea of riding in the rain. Fun to watch, thanx.
Since I am wearing full face helmet, the rain won't bother me much and it's short ride. I rarely use the windshield unless possible bad weather for long distance trip, I love to feel the wind hitting my body, thanks.
@@danthechippie4439 I know, I always use the air blower for bike to dry out and use the spray ceramic wax . I try to maintain shinny look everyday when I ride. And I do full detail wash every Sunday. Thanks.
@@roadkingronnylee595 I went with the Tab 4” (zombie of course). I regret not going with the 4.5. They just did a 5” now. It sounds insane loud. Do u miss the sound of the twin cam? I’ve not seen your vids but I bet u had one before this bike. The FLHR is the ultimate bike tho. I use mine for everything. I got those Memphis shades too. I ride in some colllld 🥶 weather so they help .. with heated gloves. You’re a better man than I bc I USUALLY don’t set off if I know it’s gonna rain all damn day. If gonna rain later so be it (enough room to carry a rain suit at all times.. I love those hard bags ! Especially after the smaller leather ones I had on my Fatboy). Anyway … it’s cold as hell here now and was gonna take my big turbo VelosterN to work but now I’m thinking it’s a road king day
@@geraldgoodiii6993 I was dying to get ZOMBIE Exaust but my neighbors would hate me every morning when I warm up the bike. . . Haha It’s getting cold so I got Harley Harley Davidson heated seat and wind and water resistance heated gloves too, getting ready for colder weather. Yeah, I miss my 96 cubic inch twin cam sound had before, and love to own any Harley bikes. Have a safe ride brother and thanks for the comment.
The go-pro recorded real nice, I like the rainy day ride. It looks like you have a Road King 2020 how do you like the hydraulic clutch. I am looking at getting a Road King 2021 or 2022 they went back to cable for the clutch don't know why.
HI, JP, it's 2017 actually. I think the Harley corporate trying cut the cost and get more profit for them. There are pros and cons about hydraulic and cable clutch. The hydraulic clutch is little hard to work with but easier to find a sweet spot and no need to adjust since there is no cable. Of course you have to replace the fluid here and there. I like it better. Thanks.
@@roadkingronnylee595 Thanks thats what I like too hear it looks like maybe buying a used road king dealer is just too dam hard to deal with on the price. I have just seen a 2020 road king 1400 miles 16k that gives me money to change things on the bike!
@@Liveharley1 I bought mine last year used from Harley Davidson dealer for $15000.00 with 5K miles on it. Saved myself around 6 to 7k dollars. So far no problems. I’ve upgraded a lot of stuffs for safety and performance. I’ll post all upgrades one by one in a future. If you do have an intention to get used one, make sure to get one with ABS brake, which I didn’t get.
@@roadkingronnylee595 That sounds good, I guess used is the way to go, I will sell my Dyna myself the dealers are bad on the new bike prices they jack it up, Used bikes they post the price that way we have money to change things on the bike, I will get ABS on the bike it's nice to have the way traffic is in Florida. Take care
