This channel shows you how to fix all kinds of items including the iconic Atomic Coffee Machine, Dyson products, AER amps, Mac computers, Miele washing machines, NEFF dishwashers the Vitamix. Each video tells you EXACTLY how to do the job and finishes with where to get the parts and how much they cost.
Gotta love it when the solution involves several instructions to "bash". A little bummed there wasn't a "jiggle the handle". But for real, thanks for the tips.
Hi, congratulations on the videos! I have this problem: my Sorrentina emits very little steam. No steam leaks are seen, either from the cap or the steam arm. When the Sorrentina changes sound, I insert the stick into the filter holder and open the steam valve, but the steam emitted is very weak. If I remove the stick then the steam comes out forcefully from the filter holder. I descaled everything well and by "blowing" from the cap and the steam wand the air passes well. What's wrong with my Sorrentina? Thank you so much for your availability and for your beautiful videos!!
I just changed my batteries from my AER Compact Mobile 2, to 2x 6V 15 Ah. I fully charge, I go busking and my battery runs out after 1 hour or so. I dont get it. This AER dissapoints me, I just got it from someone and changed the old batteries, should last long but it doesnt. Some help?
Hello Scott, I am enjoying your informative tutorials on the ATOMIC coffee makers. I have an original (?) flat top model which I inherited from my grandparents. The badge reads from top to bottom: ATOMIC, MILANO, -BREV. ROBBIATI-, MADE IN ITALY It's in pretty good condition for its age and makes good coffee with a lot of commotion and hissing from under the top casting bung. There is an old black crumbling gasket in place which must be replaced with my home made gasket cut from a sheet of 1/8 thick black silicone gasket material. The problem is that after removing the three stainless screws between the two halves, I cannot separate the frozen halves. would you be so kind as to recommend a procedure for this restoration that doesn't involve hammers & chisels. I have subscribed to your videos but I'm not familiar with how the Comment/Reply system works. If you are able to help me please also copy your reply to dominick1@aol.com. Thank you.
It's likely the seal between the circle plastic piece that threads to the inlet housing , or the inlet housing itself. Not the inlet valve, but the inlet housing (though a leaky inlet valve could be a culprit, this usually presents water filling the basin itself)
Thank you Scott for your excellent Atomic repair videos!!! Thanks to your guidance our beautiful old orange Atomic is no longer gathering dust in the cupboard. It’s back on the cooktop making delicious coffee every day. ☕️
Hi Scott, hi Scott, thank you for your help and advice! My crx50’s compressor gets very hot, too hot to touch, and runs nonstop, I checked the thermistor and the resistance values changed with temp changes, so I pulled out he pcb and visually it look fine no heat damage or shrinkage of plastic, is this likely the pcb still or something else? It’s draining power nonstop
Hi Scott. Very helpful video. Thank you. I've replaced the PCB board and thermistor on my Dometic CX80 but no luck yet. I'm interested in whether the replacement unbranded, generic control panel you mentioned worked. If so please provide a link to the retailer and I'll buy one. Cheers.
Looks like I’m the first to comment! I have 3 quick questions: How much battery can I save by turning on Energy Saver mode in Google Chrome compared to normal sleep mode? If I enable Hibernate mode on my laptop, do I need to do it each time or is it a one-time setup? If my MacBook starts acting up weird after enabling Hibernate mode, how can I undo it?"
Would a more modern boiler cap, one which contains a pressure relief valve, fit the threading on the older, flattop Atomic machines? Without that pressure relief, is there not a risk of some sort of dangerous overpressurization of the unit?
Hey Scott, trying to troubleshoot poor steam pressure in a new Atomic I bought. Followed the instructions here with a new gasket kit and replaced everything. I noticed that my knurled steel nut part won't close up completely against the thin washer on the steam arm even with some strong encouragement with some vice grips. Looking inside the knurled nut there's a little black rubber gasket in the back of it. Is that meant to be there?
@4.51. That important step after the reboot was not clear! Too quick! After Option key! I just erased my bootable usb stick. You went from one screen to the next screen within a millisecond, and I thought it didn't work because I selected that sonoma icon! Just wasted at least 4 - 5, hours of creating it. Whole days work! I had to creat another bootable usb drive again!
I took the batteries out , and took the two wires, the positive and negative. Drilled a hole in the back . And then installed a typical guitar pedal Jack. So I have the batteries outside of the amp and it’s not so heavy so when I don’t need the batteries. I charged them with a normal cheap car charger. It takes about one hour for each battery-when there drained , Also, you can charge it the normal way. Makes a big difference. The thing is super heavy with the battery, but without them it’s manageable. . Buy a daisy chain guitar pedal cable. And cut them up. You have enough for three or four batteries. And I use a 12v 12ah battery. Last about 2 hours .
Excellent video - many thanks. But will add ....my machine had the same symptoms, would not turn off pump and tap light showing, I ordered the parts for £25 and followed your instructions all good. But my problem was not failed micro switch but float gumed up with gundge. So much so it would not drop really. It took a while to clean every thing up but seems to work fine now. (and I have spares in case of future trouble. I would also add no need to remove the door cover if this is your only problem. Many thanks again.
Hi, I have a question. I have optoma VDHDGU project for 3 and half year and the lamp hour is 3500 hours. Lately I’ve been noticing some flicks and flushing from the video so I want to replace but I don’t know what to buy Could you help me?
Thank you for this. Ive been using it for many years without any issues. Today my external battery is not working anymore and Im pretty that the problem is the Amp. Do you have any troubleshooting experience with that?
I tried this but when the black screen of death it doesn’t turn back on, so I turn it on myself and then it goes back to 29 minutes of the update do you have any suggestions I need help
It's interesting that respected companies like Bellman and Brewtool were happily selling the fake in the UK at around £299 - 350. I was fooled and picked up and even closer replica, without the incorrect safety release valve and with a steam tip more like an original. I bought better baskets from Australia and a spare set of seals. To be fair, it makes good coffee, although, like yours, it needs more water than an original. I paid a lot less for it, so I don't feel too bad and I can keep my eyes open for an original. Thanks for the informative video.
Thanks for the video. Hopefully i can watch it backwards and figure out the tear down process. So I've got a completely random and totally unrelated to the Dyson Fan question for you. At the tail end of the video from 9:48 you test the fan on a black countertop. I have this exact same countertop in my condo and have always wondered what the name of it was. Any chance you have any info on it? Sorry...like I said, totally unrelated. :)
You can leave the machine upside down over night in a water/distilled vinegar solution and it will allow you to open the knob if it's stuck. Just did it.
Hi, I have a Compact Mobile 2. Can you please recommend a specific replacement battery. My understanding is the should be 6v 12aH sla. Also I don’t understand the f1 and f2 connector type. Which one do I need? Also, should I buy something that says it is deep cycle?😊
Please can I use the compressor by bridging the T and C without a connecting the thermostat. Can I use a 500omhs instead of 618 for 3000rpm; or 1000omhs instead of 1523omhs because it may not be easy for me to opten the resistors with exact Ohm Thanks🎉❤
Hi - you have to make sure that the machine you create the installer on is the machine that you install the operating system on. eg I cant send you my USB drive with the installer because it wont work.
Interesting video. For myself, I try several external power units. The problem is that they generates bad noises into the amps. The best result ( but not perfect) was Bluetti unit. This occurs particulary with single coils pick-ups (telecaster for example). But for charging AER mobile, it's a nice solution. Best regards. Jean
