Great review! 🥰 A bit disappointed with the page quality and lack of special features - this set seems to be targeted towards people who want pretty copies of the books on their bookshelves
Needed this review because I learnt just TODAY about this publisher and their designs for these classics! Only because i was browsing for notebooks online and came across the matching notebooks that compliment these books. So now I may have to get the novel and notebook sets, and eat noodles for weeks. This will be my 3rd copy of Pride and Prejudice haha!
I have more throughout my house 🤣 I'm a huge reader and have been since a very young age. If you're wanting to start reading more just carry a book with you or in a reading app on your phone. Anytime you're stuck in a queue or waiting for someone, get the book out. You'd be amazed at how much you can read in short bursts. It all adds up! 💕
7:15 His full name is Nick Chopper, the Tin Woodman. I think the Nick Chopper part of the name is only revealed in the sequels, but he's consistently called "the Tin Woodman" and "the Woodman" throughout the book. I think there are two uses of "tin man" as well, but they are lowercase, indicating that it's just a decriptor rather than a name that the Woodman goes by. As a huge fan of the books (I actually heard the first book before I even knew the movie existed, if you can even imagine that), it actually grated on my ears a bit whenever I heard the general pop culture calling him "the Tin Man" everywhere. It always sounded incomplete. I've grown more used to it over the years, and it doesn't bother me as much anymore, but every once in awhile I'll still get weird looks from folks whenever I make a Wizard of Oz reference and casually mention "the Tin Woodman." Half the time, those folks will say "He's not made of tin and wood, he's just made of tin," and I'll say, "no, it's not Wood Man, it's Woodman, like lumberjack." It's very funny.
Welcome back! Love your parrot, what a nice co-host 😄 A video about your other Barnes and Nobles books would be very interesting. Also the Lord of the Rings one, I'm a big fan of the LOTR books and films. I agree with you about the crackling sound of the pages, it's the best sound!
Thanks for the video. They're gorgeous but not what I expected.. I didn't see that laser cut part coming. I wanted Dracula so bad but it's been out of stock on book depo for a while and I'm not so sure about the edition anymore anyway.. again great video ^^
I have these babies in Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. I hope I could complete the Jane Austen collection in this edition. Great video as always. Subbed to your channel. ❤ Quick question though - which edition of Jane Austen novels do you prefer?
Am I blind or are they a shortened edition? Cause Emma should be like double as big/long as the others, right? I have these in Finnish apart from "Mansfield Park", abd they're all 300 pages, except Emma 600 pages?
I love your reviews of specific collections like this. Very informative and it helps me decide if I want to start collecting specific editions and which.
