The military has never won a war so saying that is good is rubbish. Everyone knows what she is saying but no one is saying what the real solution is.. ie it requires is a bloody revolution and sacrifice by the people just like all developed countries went through in history. Pakistan sadly is stuck in the past in a ground hog day til the day of judgement.
I've known about her book when she wrote it but I was prevented from buying it until 2020. Then I finally read a few days ago. We owe this woman a debt of gratitude. It was very depressing but if you look at the current political situation today, the country has reached where this book wanted the Pakistani public to be. They know who the real puppeteers are. She should feel a sense of mission accomplished.
As a youngster, I was deeply moved by two things she said: 1. "If today's doctors, engineers, or any other educated middle-class individuals, after earning some money, are doing what the landlords did in the past, then why should I criticize those landlords?" 2. "I would want this military to fight for me because they are good at it, but I would never want them to make everyday policy for me, because they are not qualified for that."
