This issue seemed to have been not a random problem and lancia should be responsible for this lemon of a car. Expensive to fix with a lot of issues since I bought it new years back.
What if i removed the spring before ? 😅 I installed a new one, but i guess the position is wrong. Steering wheel is forcing its way all the way too the left
Unfortunately there is pretty much nothing you can do with this sensor other than recalibrate it and reinstall spring. But it is just a waste of time. Id rather get a new sentor
Ciao! Cosa posso controllare?
Hi, I have the plug sensor at 0:45 and the sensor wants to be set to 0:53 but then the steering wheel is slightly to the left. But there is no other way to use it, so I want to know if I have to leave it skewed for calibration and then pull the steering wheel straight or set it straight to 12 o'clock beforehand ? If you could answer that I would be very happy, thank you
Hello. If you could do diagnostic to check real measurements so it would help me alot. First of all , tell me what vehicle we're talking about and then lign up wheel straight as it is and check as I said above real measurements and tell me the value
It's also a Lancia Ypsilon 843, like the one in your video. I don't have a diagnostic tool at the moment. I wanted to know if you left the sensor in the position that corresponds to the pin or did you straighten the steering wheel directly during installation? @@yuriychalenko7456
Good morning, first of all, thank you for the video. It has helped me a lot to change the sensor on my Ypsilon. The problem arose when I changed it, after mounting everything. When I contact, the steering wheel turns fully to the left, and stays turned. Do you know if something else needs to be done? Thank you very much.
Greetings! If you have any issues when you pull key to second position and wheel turns by itself in any direction till it's getting blocked, you have a sensor trouble. I had such experience with same car and the issue was sensor defected. Any type calibration or diagnostic will NOT help. I recommend you to replace sensor and make sure you pull spring on sensor AFTER you installed it inside steering wheel column. Cheers!
