There is a third set of men like me: Had average total testosterone in the 500s, 40-50 shbg and normal even in the low half free testosterone. Had all the symptoms and started TRT which immensely improved the quality of my life. It was very difficult and expensive to get it prescribed, consulted with doctors from other continents. Now I maintain 1200-1400 total t to feel optimal.
Im way down the Longeverty rabbit hole and my question is , where are all the 200yr. Old folks that have been using peptides ❤. Don't die ❤. Ai will soon take the guess work out of it and all gurus and snake oil salesmen will soon be gone ❤! Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Decentralization ❤
Creatine does not do anything, its placebo, the thing is creatine gets digested and doesnt go into your muscles, the same goes for collagen, its useless if you eat supplements, it gets digensted and idoesnt go to your joints
Thanks Ben. If this was basically Dr Antoun's protocol from one of your podcast I tried to watch, then you made much better work in explaining it without pointing fingers almost exclusively on high protein for the world's chronic diseases epidemic (he sounded totally out of touch as this is not what the general population is doing(eating) vs how much the general population is sick). I've been doing either 14-10 and 16-8 intermitent fasting, depending on days, eating twice a day, for about seven month on the carnivore diet (february to august). And for about one month now going back to the gym I have started to reintroduce carbs in my postwork meal once every 3 days (hardest day). I'm 47 now, and fat after ~6 years of inactivity and eating junk (2018-jan 2024). Hopefully I've regain some insulin sensitivity and lowered inflammation a good bunch in the past 8-9 months. But with your explanation here, I'm willing to try fasting for a little longer in the coming months, around the end of the MI40(-ish) program, before or after the 7 day detox protocol included with MI40? (if this one is still valuable?).
10:05, I'll watch till the end to hear what his protocol is, but at this point I feel like he has it wrong, or should I say: he still doesn't look at the root cause (when focusing on aging). What is causing people to get those disease over time? And not only that, but younger and younger (they're not diseases of aging anymore (well, maybe dementia/alzheimer still is... for now)? Declining metabolic health because of combination of constant hyperinsulinemia and chronic inflammation seens to be the root cause, no? And then back to his original responses he got from governement agencies: we tell them to eat healthy, do exercices, do not smoke, but people do what they do. Ok, but what about your "eat healthy recommendations/guidelines"? Those are crap ! Too much carb, not enough animal fat, swaping animal/saturated fat with easily oxidized/pro inflammatory mono/polyunsaturated seed oils. I'm a fan of Dr Ben Bikman and Dr Paul Mason... Alright, let's get back to the video for Dr Antoun's protocol.
18:30 Dang, gotta stop again: how many people really are getting diabetes, cancer, stroke and dementia because of too much protein? Maybe none? We are eating less and less red meat in the past 50+ years (but more lean protein meat like poultry). And compared to the SAD diet (high in refined carbs and vegetable/seed fat) ? What are the incidence of diabetes, cancer, dementia, and stroke in the aboriginals who are eating traditional animal based diet? They basically don't have our modern/western diseases. Sure, they have strong community bond (which is something Dr Antoun encourage), but I'm not yet convinced by his focus on protein. Back to the video...
20:45 Again, how many have a bodybuilder lifestyle eating 2g/lbs of protein in the general population, and having diabetes, cancer, stroke and dementia? A tiny, tiny fraction of the population. I guess I'll stop the video there. Dr Ben Bikman already "debunked" the "growth factor" / mTOR vilification (on one of your podcast, among other presentations). I mean, I'm not saying everyone should be eating 2+ gr/lbs of protein, especially if they are couch potatoes, but just that this is not what the general population is doing, so again, he is not looking at the root cause and yet seems to make a broad statement.
Hey Ben, thanks for so much healthy tips and high level of information you are getting out there! I've replaced my heart valve with a metallic one, can I take creatine monohydrate? I know its found in meat but in small quantities. Thank you!
Testosterone creates motivation and makes effort feel good! TRT is a no btainer for men who healthy enough to take it and doctors and the general public need to understand this. Too many people are stuck on the ridiculous propaganda of the 80's when the Federal government made it a crime. My TRT works best when my Total T is at or above 1000 and Free T is above 200. I do not concern myself with Estrodiol. Men on TRT must control their diet and eat clean, exercise, and continuously monitor their blood work. Buy the ticket, take the ride!
it's been 8 years ago since you posted this video. What i am wondering now, since i kept hearing a CRACK in your shoulders.. when you did the flyers. are your shoulders still fine? I get tons of cracks in my shoulders and they worry me all the time when i am at the gym.
when alison started talking about shame, and men's response to shame, that's how i feel. i wonder about being able to do work to heal masculine wounds that one has as a woman
Great Interview, thanks for being such a good listener and letting her do her thing ❤.. But Dude, over 7 minutes till she gets to say something.. You will loose people like that😅
SLOW IT DOWN! I'm sure the video was sped up to fit some sort of time constraint, but man! I couldn't pay attention to the rapid-fire conversation, I glazed over about 15 minutes in.
So almost every food, even healthy nuts, milk, spinach (green food) , parsley etc so how to avoid glutamine.. how to turn the body from fermentation to oxygenated conditions.. I don't eat bread, junk food, no soda, no alcohol so
Jay is the real pioneer influencer in the TRT space that brought high quality material for the first time. He puts in his back pocket all of the Dereks, Attias, Hubermans and other folks with huge following who don’t know what they talk about when it comes to TRT.
Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen. Anything or heard anything about Ben? I thought he was a great canadian bodybuilder wonder, what a story is
