For 100 years flashlights came with replaceable batteries, which enabled you to keep using them in the field if the batteries ran dry, and to keep using the light itself for decades. Nowadays many manufacturers want you to pay hundreds of dollars for lights that are essentially throwaways and cannot be swapped in the field. They choose to do this so they can sell you another light in a few years when this one dies. It's creepy and gross and I won't do it. Besides, these lights are too blocky for EDC.

I have both of these, even in the same colourways you have there. I like them both but prefer the baton lll. Obviously its a longer running, stronger light but i prefer the colour tone of the baton lll too
is the button too easy to press like the FW3A? I can't EDC that one because the button is too easy to knock "on" ... I would love it to be more of a heavy click to prevent accidental turn on while carrying it. I know about the 4 clicks to lock out, but that sucks having to do that every time.
it looks like you do know your flashlights so this should be easy question for you, Which flashlight with 18650 battery has illuminated switch button in off position like BLF Q8? And does any of them have illuminated switch button changing color as a battery indicator when the battery is getting depleted in off position? It would be a great help. Thank you.

A simple USB charge method would have been better with these lights. Olight's proprietary system works great but it is just more stuff to have or carry around. People buy the lights not the extra stuff needed to keep them running.
According to the few reviewers who have done the runtime test, it can go for more than 200 minutes using a Samsung 40T. The turbo mode lasts about 10 seconds before throttling kicks in to a steady output for the remainder. If you need sustained turbo that is greater than 4000lumens, then this is not the light for you. ordered some batteries for some of my Lumintop flash lights, was told i got a cable for charging battery and connects to some flash light i don't own, yet never received such cable. was told to check my account, thought for a second maybe i did mess up, turns out NO i didn't ,there's the order payed for BUT NOT RECEIVED... so i through all my Lumintop flash lights out the window with the battery inside to see if they wood work from 3rd floor - They all stopped working lmfao... the funny thing is Lumintop lost a loyal customer for ever... told them to keep batteries i never received along with the money... Rule of thumb - when ever a company trys to milk you or trys to hide there mistakes over a few AA batteries - PUCK THEM Puck them all Period !!!

I hate reviews where dude doesn't talk. It shows a lack of confidence and if guy has no no confidence within himself and how can I trust a review that he hand signs his supposed confidence in the flashlight... I mean really if you can't speak then don't make a review unless you're reviewing sign language techniques or things that you don't need to speak for which are few and far between I'm serious just don't make a review I'm going to put a thumbs down on you right now cuz you didn't speak. That said your hand signs can't tell me about the differences between the orange peel and smooth reflectors and I didn't already know the different LEDs that I didn't already know so all you're basically doing is doing a commercial for lumen top you're not reviewing shit bro you should take this down Injustice to RU-vid
T4k doesn't stay to max power for very long, kind of defeats the purpose of going for the more powerful one, rather get a lower max power torch and be able to use it to max potential
Anyone who buys either of these trying to MAIN their 1k-4k output is a clown. The niche is that it's a USEFUL 200lm EDC belt-mounted light that can be used as a headlamp when clipped to a hat and CAN hit a brief party lumen setting if the moment calls for it.. but NOT to be bought as a light that rests on 1k+. In fact, not even tactical full size lights (like the p20i/x or p23i etc) are meant to be used like that either. The only light you're looking at to rest on 1000-4000 luments as the main running mode are very FAT flood/spot lights with over 8 LEDs. usually in the 300-500 dollar range and they are unwieldly and gross in day to day life. Those will usually burst 9000-20,000 luments. but rest on the lower thousands of lumens. So there's some perspective for ya.
I personally have the Tini 2 , its bright enough to get things done when you need it and its smaller so its easily portable which is why it stays on me with my keys
@@geo9994 I bought a tini 2 for my girlfriend. The problem with Tini and Tiki is that they are just keychains. only if you like a landyard flopping around your neck as a bundle of keys and flashlight hits you in the chest as you walk and run. I always used to hold my keys to prevent it. But the Tip SE, TUP and T4K are much better due to the clip. they can be worn like a holster, close and tight to the body rather than hung and swung.
@@geo9994 I will defend the Tiki though because it is neat. especially when it can glow blue or green as you wear it around for fun. If the Tini 2 had a tiny clip, it could be strapped to a belt loop and be amazing. currently, you could still clip the D ring of the keychain onto it as well but, it is not quick draw.
I have the copper edc18 on the way and now i'm tempted to buy the aluminum fw3a. Opposite of yours. are the battery tubes interchangeable? I'd like the performance of a copper edc18 head more but want to make it lighter with the fw3a battery tube when travelling.
Did anybody know where I can get a smooth reflector for the GT mini pro. I didn't do very good research on anything I ended up the GT mini pro and it's very floody I don't like it so funny it's nice bright light don't get me wrong but I wanted a thrower. Can I use the mini's lens in the mini pro? And if that's the case where can I just get another extra reflector for it..
I don't think you will find a smooth reflector for the Pro. Only options are: 1. Sell the Pro and buy the regular version 2. Buy an NM1 LED and swap out the LEDS.
