@@goodgirlart all kidding aside I like some smaller cafés like the Kriemhild, the Jelinek and the Kafka. A bit less touristy and more hipstery. Also don't sleep on Vienna's roasteries and 3rd wave coffee houses like coffee pirates, kafemik, gota coffee. Less homey and inviting, but world class coffee and baristas who know their craft
@@McDonaldsCalifornia I know Kafka and Jelinek only from this list. Thank you for sharing it. This video was more about famous places for deserts. Also, I'm working on my new video about coffee culture in Vienna. So, it will be more about the coffee itself than deserts. I would love to check some places that you suggested. Saying about some nice coffee places...I like " The Truth", recently discovered this place and they are really good.
It should be mentioned that the exhibit is located on the site of Mozart's final apartment and was the place where he died. It features of mish-mash of all the music Mozart wrote in 1791 while he lived at this site.
Thank you for your comment! It is a very interesting fact, and probably I had to mention it. But I didn't want to add details of Mozart's biography. Otherwise, people will be disappointed with this show. Because it was an exhibition more for fun than for educative purposes. I will definitely recommend more "The House of Music" in Vienna. This place is both fun and educative. Also, if you like Mozart, you can check my video about Mozart and leave your comment there. Recently I had a nice conversation with Teresa. She loves Mozart and shared some of parts of his letters that demonstrate how he loved humor. Probably you can share your knowledge and thoughts as well, it will be interesting for community and other people. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oiVCFZ8aJhw.htmlsi=yY7bfvDWqAxaT5Wh
My favorite composer. By the way, you left out his toilet humor, which he was very fond of. There's a lot of it in his letters. "There's a lot of farting during the night, And the farts resound with thunderous might." -- W.A. Mozart
@@teresagardiner153 Sounds really interesting! I will check it out. Also, feel free to share it here. Everyone will be happy to learn something new about this genius.
@@goodgirlart If anyone is interested in examples of Mozart's bathroom humor I recommend reading "Mozart's Letters; Mozart's Life" by Robert Spaethling. Some other books of his letters leave out the off-color jokes. Mozart's toilet humor is most common in letters to his cousin Maria Anna Thekla. It's all playful nonsense, like saying that he will "let off a resounding fart", or writing her little rhymes like this: "Well, I wish you good night, but first, Shit in your bed and make it burst. Sleep soundly, my love Into your mouth your ass you'll shove." Mozart also wrote fart-jokes to his sister, his parents, and his wife. It was a prominent aspect of his personality. He even wrote scatological music, most famously a song whose lyrics are basically "Kiss my ass!". My favorite naughty song by Mozart is 'Bona Nox', a rude lullaby which ends with the same goodnight rhyme that he wrote to his cousin (quoted above). Mozart evidently liked that little rhyme a lot; he also wrote it in a letter to his sister! 😂
@@goodgirlart I would recommend everyone to visit part of the city called Zebetin and restaurant u Richarda, its is a restaurant where they brew their own beers and has good czech cuisine with a modern take, also it is very beautiful suburb 15 minutes from the center with uber or 30 by public tranport. Close to that is Obora Holedná which is like a super big fenced forest(330 hectars) with lookout tower where u can see boars, ducks and deers. Or Bílá hora at the other side of the city which is a beautiful viewpoint in the summer where you can see the whole city as if it was sitting on the palm of your hand and many protected plants can be seen there.
@@MrMajsterixx Thank you so much for your recommendations! I will definetely come back and see these places. Also, it will be interesting for people who is visiting Brno for the first time.
GOOD Girl, I know you're very well traveled around the world. Is there a place you haven't been to but would like to go? Also, interesting video, as always! 😊
Hello Julia: Thank you for this guide to fine restaurants in Vienna. My favourites are: 1) The "Kaiser Sausages" 2) The French Bistrot and Café "Beaulieu" (BTW in your video the address shown is incorrect, it is not in the "Venice Gallery" but at the Herrengasse 14/18 in the Palais Ferstel Arcade) The "Red Bar" at the Sacher Hotel. I have noticed that on Tripadvisor the "Beaulieu Café" received 31 comments qualifying it as "Excellent" or "Very Good" and only 6 as "Bad" I do not understand how people can be so wrong or spiteful. You may have a rather disappointing experience but it cannot be as bad as these people say because lots of other customers found it excellent.
Hello! Thank you for your comment! Great choices! Actually, I wrote all the information about restaurants in description. The address of French restaurant is correct there (Herrengasse 14). I was trying to find a mistake and where I mention "Venice Gallery", because I didn't mention any "Venice Gallery". So, I found out that RU-vid (their automatic system) divided my video for episodes and named them in a weird way. Almost all of them are wrong. So, now I will try to fix it. Thank you so much for letting me know! Because, I didn't see it before. Have a wonderful day! :)
@@goodgirlart Thank you Julia! I cannot believe these idiots can mess things up so badly (so much for AI! 😁) I suspected there was something wrong because your videos are impeccable. I liked your choices. That gallery or arcade is beautiful, I bet you have many in Vienna. Greetings from Buenos Aires! 🤩
Yes, I have been there one time and to be honest: not the best service for that level of price and type of food. That's why I didn't included this restaurant to my list. However, they are very touristic and popular as well. But I definitely recommend you Figlmuller better. They don't pay me, just an honest opinion. But you can visit both and make your own opinion.
I like your Best Cafes video a lot! Thank you for the list of restaurants as well. I've been to many of them already but also saw a few new spots. Definetely will check it out.
@@VictorVic-or7cg I can recommend it yet. Because I'm planning to visit one place soon. But in New York there are many good Korean BBQ restaurants, entire street.
