Hera was 100% unwilling to let go here after losing Kanan a few days prior. She didn't want to lose her family and Ezra was like a son for her. Ezra learned to let go after he saved Ahsoka in the world between worlds and she taught him the importance of letting go and this is how he was able to win the battle of Lothal and inspire the rebellion towards victory. Immediatly after victory Hera was prepared to drop everything in an attempt to search for him asking Rex to track every possible trajectory.
stop i literally cried too many times from rebels, when hera and kanan kissed twice, kanan died and ezra left (plus more) as well as the last 2 minutes of season 2 iykyk
@Under_Your_Bed_ bold of you to assume either of those. Did ever consider that I just don't overreact like you? Was the Ahsoka series flawed? Yes. But I don't let that ruin my past experience with this show.
What people don't notice: Hera pouting at Sabine because she's pissed that she helped Ezra escape. Sabine hearing an echoey ghost whisper of Ezra calling out her name when he never said anything, which is really the Force and her opening connection to it more
Ahhh such growth and maturity in this last episode. Thank god Ahsoka series completely washed away any attempt to make the sacrifice worthwhile, with such a crappy reunion. Yay disney!!
No offense but your whining makes you look pathetic as hell. Gain some self awareness. And last I checked, the Republic is dominant over the entire galaxy while the remnants are far lower in numbers and scattered 🤣. Thrawn coming back doesn't undo that. Ezra's sacrifice enabled the defeat of the Empire because none of those OT victories would have been achieved without Thrawn. Sabine upheld her promise, Ezra can share what Thrawn is up to, find a way to get Sabine and Ahsoka back, and Sabine and Ahsoka are gonna figure out the Mortis situation and return. "Crappy reunion". Yeah because Ezra and Sabine were never the awkward type at all, and Sabine was always the type to be so emotionally open? Lmao. That and trying to hide what she had done with the map and how her life had been the past few years, Ahsoka dying to her knowledge, not having a plan that could work. The perfect dream reunion was never gonna happen and never should have. Even with Hera, how is it possible with the threat of Thrawn returning and Sabine and Ahsoka gone in her head?
Ok. This one scene shows that Ezra did not give Sabine his lightsaber. And at the end of the episode, Ezra does not tell Sabine to keep his lightsaber. Why do people keep thinking Disney’s explanation is good? It’s not, when Ezra says “It’s yours, I gave it to you.” That is bull crap. That is just a way for them to avoid Ezra taking his saber and using it. Ezra did not give Sabine his lightsaber, nor did he tell her to keep it. Now I will agree, he may have wanted her to have it, if he died. But he did not give it to her nor say she could keep it.
If Wolfwren becomes canon, then what would be the point of this scene? The way Ezra and Sabine look at each other is clearly a silent indication of “I love you”. Even the title “Sabine sees Ezra” indicates their relationship is more than brother/sister like. I hope Dave remember this moment as well all the teases he put that seem to foreshadow a romantic future between the two. If Ezra does get together with Sabine, I could see a happy marriage between the two. Since it’s now confirmed Sabine is force sensitive, I could see them training their children how to be Jedi.
@@hellstrom4209 I don't know. I felt a lot more up to interpretation than anything else. The Epilogue where Sabine touches the mural featuring Ezra's face greatly leaned on to the implicatation she might've developed romantic feelings.
After watching Ahsoka and listining to this, I'm not really convinced about Ezra considering Sabine to be a "Sister". The title, the music and the facial expressions screams something more and boy, it's gotta mean something. The Reunion between the two revived this implication and honestly from a character perspective, it makes the most sense in that Sabine started to love Ezra romantically and him being shocked she returned his affection for would beyond emotinnal. That sends a good message about how love works, how it's more emotional than sexual, that would make for a powerful dynmanic moving forward. And honestly, I'm rooting for that to happen, cause of the the history they share and so it's easier to believe. Those eyes just scream "I love you" and I want the creators to take advantage of that.
You don't overly fixate on your brother gone for ten years to the point of waking up in sweat screaming his name after watching a recording he made especially for you for the countless time. I honestly belive they both love each others.
Only ones that know it was necessary were Chopper, and Sabin. Chopper was go get them kid, while Sabin had two feelings. The Mandlorian warrior, which knew it was the needed, and possibly as girlfriend going I don't like this one bit.
I hope he gave his lightsaber to Sabine, cause he loves her. Honestly judging from her reaction to seeing Ezra leave, I think it's implied she's starting to feel the same way.
@@coletrain583 Since the first episode, this has always been my endgame. And I don't care if they don't make it canon at the end, it will always be my endgame. :')
If this was a sequel trilogy director: Ezra thinks of sneaking out and sacrificing himself for the greater good. Sabine: “Hey , stop Ezra, our love is bigger than his hate.”
i will never get over this scene. ezra understanding his purpose and willing to sacrifice himself for his friends and planet, hera trying desperatly to stop ezra because she is not ready for another loss and sabine and ezra's silent comunication. the fact that just days before this they lost kanan and now having to let go of ezra is heartbreaking, while sure, he didn't die i think they all knew that he would not come back (or at least not soon). all combined with the fantastic score from keiner and stellar voice acting. truly one of my favourite scenes in star wars.
I'm looking back on what made star wars amazing. No matter what happens remember this look back on the good. Because it shows what kind off person you are.
I loved how it was Sabine who was closing the series off, really love her character and I liked the fact that she had a scene with another one of my favorite characters from Clone Wars which was Ashoka. I Hope Sabine finds Ezra (I really like both of them as a couple as well as every single scene that they had together). Star Wars Rebels.... was one hell of a ride, I will truly miss you(but I will re-watch all 4 seasons). Can't wait for the next Star Wars animated TV show(I hope it features Ashoka again). Farewell....until we meet again....and remember, The force will be with you, always. I love the music of this scene, especially that transition when Sabine distracts them and sees Ezra has escaped, as well as the change into Sabine's theme when she's explaining they should trust Ezra/how to help him by getting the shield up I think that Sabine pleading with Ezra to reconsider, then resigning and letting him go shows her love for him better than any kiss could have. Mando’s literally specialize in burying and ignoring feelings after all. She most likely realized she loved him after he was gone, and we will see their relationship come to fruition when they reunite. Just remember, Sabine made this choice only days after Kanan died doing similar Jedi heroics. Her bravery to let Ezra go, to help him go and be the sacrifice, shows just how much she trusts in him and supports him, in spite of her reservations and fears. What a friend. Or something more? Whatever she is Sabine is one in a million, really loved how she came into her own throughout Rebels. Super excited for her live-action debut! Ezra and Sabine. They truly need to be reunited and have a happy life together. Star Wars at its truest core has always been about love and sacrifice. 0:30 is my favorite part of this scene. In the buildup of the beautiful song, everyone gathers around the table and plans their attack while Ezra prepares for what he must do. Everything just feels right. This is a super good finale. And this entire scene is easily my favorite scene in the whole show. If you think about it, that part where they were looking at each other was the last time she saw him. Then she tried looking at him again when everyone was distracted, but he was gone. She probably thought that she would see him again only to learn that she wasn't. Imagine that happening in real life with someone you've known for a long time and cared about. Does no one else feel this? That music and their looks to one another and then that line for Ezra, one last time. It chokes me every time I watch it, Rebels is beautifully written and I love the way Dave Filoni carries on the legacy of Star Wars. I wish he'd been given the chance with the new films because even though I've enjoyed the new two Dave would have given it so much more depth and love. I always feel like this scene gets slept on, it's so emotional and rewarding at the same time; Sabine and Chopper knew that it was the right thing to do. I almost cried when that sad stare between Ezra and Sabine happened. It still almost makes me cry Edit 2 years later: HOLY MOLY THAT IS THE MOST LIKES I HAVE ON RU-vid. THANKS!! Damn, that little head nod of goodbye from Chopper was a perfect little touch from the animators as if to say, I will help you thank you, and goodbye Sabine sees Ezra is such a powerful moment. The soundtrack, Ezra’s “One Last Time” and they’re communicating without speaking always get me Emotional. Their relationship really has come a long way since season one. This really shows how much Ezra and Sabine understand each other. This makes me wanna bawl my eyes out!!! Sabine truly loved Ezra! 😭😭😭 She knew he needed to go to Thrawn and helped him escape Ezra is a true Jedi. Understanding that he is part of something bigger than just himself, an instrument of the Force's will, and playing that part in order to better the galaxy and protect the innocent.
I hope as Sabine gets off Peridea, she reunites with him and this time she stays with him, hopefully their relationship will show real development this time around.
The soundtrack called "Sabine sees Ezra". Its quite literal. You can listen to it here (music only): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0G3Cs6pdsbM.html

I read a comment on a Reddit post talking about how terrible this show was. That there was very minimal character development and how it seemed like it was very child-centric. Good guys win and bad guys lose. If I had this show growing up, and watched it then instead of watching it for the first time at 21 years old, this would have been a very formative show for me. Ezra progresses from a bratty kid who only cares about himself to someone who is prepared to make the sacrifice, “one last time.” Zeb grows into an older brother character for Ezra, trying to protect him because he can. Kanan gives his life to save the people he loves. All I’m really saying is, I’m really glad I didn’t give up on this show. The first few episodes were jarring. I was coming off of Clone Wars, and the animation looked like an incompletely rendered alpha. But it grew on me. This silly kid’s show about the Rebellion is one of my favorite things in Star Wars. Sure, Andor has some hella intelligent writing and some impeccable emotional beats, and I fucking love that show and everything about it. But Rebels holds a very special place in my heart.
It’s kinda crazy cause I grew up with Ezra and Kanan. Ezra was like my Luke skywalker when I was 12-13. So to now be 19 and seeing that he’ll make an appearance all these yrs later will bring many tears to my eyes!
This is when sabine fell in complete love with ezra and when ezra knew he has a purpose in life that will save millions. Ezra and sabine is my favorite duo they are perfect for each other. 2 fighters, 2 leaders, 2 protectors
@@doodoo5594 they're just going about their woke agenda. She's a FILONI favorite, not everyone loves her and I'm sick of her face. Sick of seeing her intrude on other people's plots, sick of every little thing being about her. She hasn't done anything to even make her super important, fricking Cassian did more in just andor than she did in the entirety of her existence in the saga, which is just a big plot hole. She should've died in Twilight of the Apprentice
Out of all the movies/animations I've watched (I haven't read the books) Ezra and Luke were born on the same day, empire day. Have the same lightsaber color (green) and have a strong bond with the force.
Ezra was actually born earlier. Ezra was born on Empire Day, when the Empire was formed. Luke and Leia were born ~2 days later. But they were all born with a great destiny nonetheless.
