What a great video mate, finally found the right one! I really liked how you edited the video and added info about triumph clippers. It’s not like I will buy them but it was nice extra touch and good thing to know 😊
lol 😂 yep, very advanced tech right there. Gotta know what it tastes like, it’s what we do lol. That way you “feel” like you’ve done it right. That’s the real definition of “hawk tuah” 😜
Nah, took a shortcut there. Well I think I did anyways. I’ve actually sucked out all the old coolant from the reservoir with a syringe and a short hose. I couldn’t be bothered removing more parts just for that. So once empty, I’ve used a longer bottle cleaner skinny brush with a wet wipe to clean all the residue from the reservoir. Once clean properly, refill.
Does anybody know about the opposite of this? I have the wireless quad lock charger for my motorcycle, but I have an s23 on the way and I'm thinking about getting one of the magnetic charging cases that isn't quad locks. I currently have the s22 ultra with their MAG case and kickstand ring insert, but I really do not love it and I'd like to not be limited to their case. You can get a universal adapter for their mount system and there are countless third-party options for that, I just don't know if the wireless charger on my motorcycle will work through the universal adapter and a case that is not Quadlock. Their case on the s22 U is just...okay, but the main issue is that their ring product/solution really stinks. The notches within in lock mechanism of the case that the small nubs on the ring stand's four faces are supposed catch onto wore out for me within like 2 months. I initially wasn't sure if it was the nubs on the ring or if it was the channels in the locking mechanism on the case that were worn out, but I bought a new ring and it falls out just as easily. Sometimes the ring pop out when I don't even have the kickstand aspect extended. Additionally, it just doesn't have enough resistance to hold the phone's weight up, esp over time (and i mean like a few months of use). I know I could do different solutions so that it takes more force to rotate the stand's hinge...but for a $20.00+ cheep little piece of metal, I shouldn't have to do that. On top of all that, the length did the kickstand aspect of the Ring comes out is not adequate to use as a kickstand except for certain conditions/angles and surfaces, at least for the last 22 Ultra. I would have no problem adding another stick-on kickstand/finger support option, but the placement required by the ones that meet all of my needs are blocked by the quad lock locking mechanism. Phones have gotten so large that the requirements for a kickstand/finger support that helps me hold the phone through all the ways I'm holding it in its usage and can supported as a kickstand to keep the phone upright across most orientations and surfaces how much more demanding and specific than something like a pop socket or those little kickstand pegs. I need the ability to have more options for kickstand/finger supports and not have to worry about blocking the cases built in and dead center located mounting mechanism. With the freedom to choose where i place the universal stick on mounting mechanism, my options open up to find a kickstand / finger support that doesn't have these issues. I no this is hyper-specific, but I put money on the fact that this is a wide impact use case for their consumers.
The short period of yellow allows right turners to clear the intersection before traffic from the other direction is given a green light. Very common in Australia.
@@77gravity Maybe I should have said Melbourne. Some lights were upgraded near me about a year ago to add right turn arrows. They have a red, amber and green right turn arrows. But if the conditions are correct, the green arrow will go amber, and then the arrow light will turn off. No red arrow, just a green light to allow traffic to go straight or turn right. Maybe the red is supposed to come on, but is on for a very short time, or not at all. But I have seen similar around Melbourne. In this case, of the bikers, you see both the close and distant lights. Both do the same thing.
Nah this appears to be Australia, based of the traffic lights and the side of the road, and it's very common for no red light to appear, becasue that means you can turn right at the intersection, as long as you give way to on coming traffic.
@@Petty_Theif07 Common to go from green to orange to red, but to go orange but then not red? I've never seen that, in my 45 years of driving in Australia. (and yes, it appears to be Australia, lane markings are consistent, differ from UK)
Yes they’re very popular in Victoria, and this is where this footage is from, but normally the ones I’ve seen turn red first, then generally they’re synced with the straight ahead lights so when the ahead lights turn green, the right turn ones turn off, which means you can turn right once you give way to the vehicles in front of you going straight. Almost like a give way sign. It’s just that the red never appeared. First time traveling through this parts.
It definitely helps. A number of times now it started beeping and I had no idea someone was so close behind me. It detects the tailgaters and you can get away from them once you know. The sooner the better. And from the other features, knowing when someone is coming fast on the other lanes beside you is the next common one I notice all the time.
I do Reefton/lake mountain every other week when the weather is good but its off the list for now until around October. its just pointless you can't enjoy it.
@@Friendlywhoman thanks for the sub. Not sure why it came across to RU-vid so choppy, almost like it dropped some frames once compressed by YT. The exact some video file on Insta is smooth. Don’t know. 🤷 It’s been recorded in 30fps, with GoPro Max in 360, then upscaled to 4K during production, then downscaled to 1080 so looks nice on Insta reels, and the same file across here to YT but I agree, it looks a bit terrible. My other ones I’ve posted don’t look like that, a little strange. Thanks again for the sub and comment. I’ll keep an eye out. 👊
Awesome! Glad it helped but most importantly welcome to the Striple gang haha. It’s a really good bike, it’s my second one and no issues, very reliable. I’m curious whether you got the red, yellow or the black one.
Yes. Looking at this site, seems to be the same as in my video, on the digital display, far right that black line. www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/triumph/2012-triumph-speed-triple-r-review-91245.html
3/4 kit: TITANIUM racing manifold + GRID-O silencer. Part Number: GTRO501, SPARK 1,7 kg vs STOCK 6,6 kg. www.sparkexhaust.com/en/exhaust/triumph/street-triple-765-rs-r-s-20-22/gtr0501
Alright, that’s the video, it’s towards the end of the spark plugs replacement video but I’ve sent you the link so it goes directly to the part where I reset the service light. “The wrench” symbol. You need an OBD tool, and an android device. And a license like 10 Euro I think it was so you can use the TuneECU app with your bike. This is a 2020 model, you will need to check which tool works with your model/year . Hope that helps
@@aussiegeekrider thanks for the info and link. The Triumph dealership near me is in Philadelphia PA. It’s suicide to try to ride my beloved motorcycle there just to clear the service light. I appreciate the tips. Ride safe brother. 😎👍
@impreza99rs awesome. If you go back a few minutes, you should see the green OBD tool that I plugged in under the seat in the data port.i think I also did a software update in the video as well if needed when you’re ready.
Really appreciate your comment and glad it helped, I couldn’t find a video for my exact model when I had to do it so got the manual happening and thought I might just record it for others and myself next time I have to do it. But I know now it’s quite straight forward for this model. 👍
@mr.murica9571 yes, looked too hard to remove it, I tried to avoid removing the actual (gas/peterol) tank so I used a syringe with a flexible tube to suck out all the old coolant, then I used a pipe cleaner with a wet wipe attached to the brush to clean any residue from the bottom of the tank then refilled it. To be honest I’m not sure what would be quicker, removing the tank and wash it unde the tap or struggle how I did it. Who knows. Which ever way works for you.
Oh no.. get it ready for the next one. I don’t do stunts I just recorded these guys they did great. I gave it a go again in the quarter like sprints , was great, but I’m no good at stunts
It’s called “My Triumph” in the AppStore, not sure on android. But your bike needs the Bluetooth connectivity unit which mounts under the seat and connects your bike to your phone. Then using the app you start a navigation to some destination and not only get the turn by turn direction on the bike display but also turn by turn voice into your helmet if you have your helmet speakers paired with your phone. The app keeps track of all trips you previously saved, the ODO, tells you when your next service is and a bunch more features.
My biggest fear cause that’s something you can’t control sometimes. I ride home on a back country road every night and this is one of my biggest fears lol stay safe brother
Thanks brother, same to you. To be honest a little surprised it wasn’t a kangaroo, but hey, looks like there’s deers to watch out for around here too. It is my fear as well, I rarely travel at night on back roads like this though. But I was chasing the Aurora lights we had on Saturday but this happened on Sunday, instead I saw the deer, expected wildlife hence why I was not faster than 60km/h, had the high beams on and eyes on the road, but sometimes that’s not enough. I was lucky to get some notice this time. Ride safe. 👊
Not quite, no knee scraping just sweet turns, more body leaning, my bum slightly on the edge of the seat sometimes but not track like. The video I think makes it look more spectacular, but a very enjoyable ride.
Well that was a quarter mile, but the track is curved and just regular road surface, nothing sticky on the ground, no rubber, it’s a classic event that event runs every year since 1956. Used to be called Geelong Speed Trials. So the track being curved not straight, the surface just like any street surface you find in town, and the stopping distance limited with a lot of warning from the event organisers to break early as you might not manage to stop, then be default, you can’t put 100% into this.. Every year 1 or 2 cars can’t quite stop and hit the barrier at the end, those white and orange large plastic barriers filled with water. Everyone made it without injuries. It’s a popular fun event, but it’s known not to break your quarter mile record because it’s impossible to go as fast as a proper straight treated surface run. Great event though, here’s more about it: geelongrevival.com.au/about/
