This was the only Saturday night event in early 1991 November to March 1999 if it was still running I be old enough to attend live as I was way to young back then I was only a baby to a near older child.
@@rickhardman7376 Not much to say, he is a cnut. This was more of a reaction to the other comment about how brilliant their Saturday night was with their parents and I am very bitter about my experience
It's in the key of A major and with incredible major sixth chords. I would have been in my twenties at the time of this footage and remember it very well.
Classic comedy, nothing beats 70-90's tv Poridge, keeping up appearances, One foot in the grave, Spitting Image (when it was truly funny) faulty towers, Aloh Aloh, dinner ladies. 70's to the 90's was the hight of comedy and nothing they make today comes close to how funny they where.
What made me laugh as I'd grown up with One Foot in the Grave, when he made that appearance in Father Ted was brilliant... Especially when he made his catchphrase at the end of the episode... Fantastic 😂
This is the ultimate Friday night theme. Remember hearing this late on Friday nights when I was in bed as a kid. The show is just as funny now as in the 90s and unburdened by political correctness.
Saturday nights sat near the gas fire, it's a crisp, cold winters evening. Gladiators has just finished on ITV (thank god) and my late parents scoffing at the hilarity and nonsense on Noels House Party, broadcast live...and a teenaged me, laughing my socks off. Wonderful. It truly was the best thing on TV back then when the BBC made great shows. I wish it was still on...
No kid couldn't not enjoy the goofy absurdity of Gladiators mate, you'd have to have a heart of coal. It was the highlight of my week outside of Gamesmaster and Crystal Maze.
