😃 5 minutes ? You did better than most 🤦♂️ yea you are correct I have no understanding of music. But I do enjoy listening to new music and then speaking and learning from interesting people like yourself. Anyway I appreciate your time I know it’s value have a safe day ✌️
It’s a story. A lot of albums were stories back in the day. Interpret anyway you like, but one “song” leads into the next. This album seems a life time, at least to me. Just a description of going from here, to there. Cradle to the grave kind of stuff. Good luck finding your way, folks.
I was seven years old when this song was released and it was the first album I ever bought and the only 8 track before cassettes were created a few years later. I learned at an early age I could sing and this was the first song I memorized and sang along with, hundreds of times. Great song and very talented singer. I found other artists later like The Bee Gees, Billy Joel and The Eagles but Barry was my introduction to singing beautiful ballads. If you like his style of music I’d encourage you to check out another Barry with his two brothers, the Bee Gees songs from the same era such as How Deep is your Love and Too Much Heaven.
Only a Lad, the album this song comes from, is dripping with sarcasm and explores the darker side of human nature, with such songs as: Perfect System, Capitalism, Only a Lad, Nasty Habits. The theme of phonies, fakes, and sickos is heavy.
Love it! Subscribed! Do what you want but be who you are, real peeps are in for the fun of seeing you young pups realizing our gen (59) had the shit, was the shit and just lived our lives listening to the most incredible music across every genre! @DeadChannel this just showed up in my feed. I hope I’ll find that someone told, when listening to Chris, ALWAYS listen to him LIVE. “Tennessee Whiskey (Austin City Limits) is sooo much better than studio versions like this was. He lets loose live! If you haven’t please react to his performance with Dua Lipa & of course his wife Morgane “I Think I’m In Love With You” it’s 🔥. It’s Chris’s song as he writes all his own songs. He’s an incredible artist, songwriter, guitarist & singer with a 1 of a kind voice! He’s a living Legend! Btw, I just sub’d. Thanks fren!
When it first started and you started to look more relaxing into it and I thought, oh sir. You think this is going to be relaxing ride? 😂😂😂😂 you’ll go through a million emotions and it is fcking fabulous
You got it right. I was 10 years old when this was released. It has been part of my soundtrack throughout my life. And it had different meanings at different ages. Now I am 62 years old and it has again changed. That is music at its best. To be 52 years later and still transformative.
Lol. A present day urban guy who has never witnessed a beehive before storm, or knows nothing about past time agricultural realities can indeed have some difficulties figuring out what Vivaldi has tried to express. I come from a family of mountain farmers who is still working the land majorly by hand, so it definitely helps to feel what's going on there. You have to imagine a hot summer day in the countryside, with a storm about to break in the late heavy afternoon. The laziness of all living creatures will be disrupted by the flashes of lightings and the rain will pour. Peasants are running to hide the hay from the rain. Hail will fall on the harvest. Birds are flying away. Bees and insects are turning wild. Animals are quickly hiding under the cover of the forest. You can hear everything in the music : the birds song when it's calm, the rain, the lightning, the urgency, etc. I hope this will help you appreciate this masterpiece to its right colors. 🙂
@@themightyfp 🙂 I hope you will like him even more when you discover his other pieces of music. Baroque music is one of my favorite era : so many amazing and delicate musicians,, and that special sound of the instruments that you don't find anymore in classical music (violins were less powerful, and you had harpsichord instead of piano). Just my preference, of course ! 😊💜 Thanks for spreading valuable culture !
If you knew anything about singing you might find out about how few people on this planet can jump between three different octaves consistently. Honestly, your reaction video caused a reaction of irritability in me.
All tracks are isolated because that way the engineer can make the mix live, it is a amazing usually bands on stage can not even hear themselves live lol
"So have your dream Go on and sing your song There's nothing wrong With singing out of tune If people laugh And say your dream can never be Just think of me And man on the Moon" 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This piece is featured on the original Disney’s fantasia. In the segment the demon Chernabog lives in the bold mountain and summons souls from the neighboring village. Since I watched that as a kid it’s the only thing I can imagine whenever I hear this piece. It’s quite genius and terrifying.
It’s easy to misinterpret this song. 'Bobby Brown Goes Down' makes fun of the stereotype of a white, heterosexual American male and his toxic masculinity. This kind of guy thinks he is afraid of losing his maleness because of the thriving women’s liberation movement of the time. He believes it’s acceptable to mistreat a woman, but not to grant her the rights she has been missing. Zappa addresses this subject in an exaggerated, over-the-top, ironic way. He is known for this kind of humor, and he intended to make people think about society's injustices.
Thank you reviewing New Birth's Wildflower with a wonderful review. I was 16 yo when this song came out and the song meant a lot to us high school girls...it was like a love ballad. A man singing about his feelings for the woman he loved. Keep it going..looking forward to your next review👍💝💝💝💝
