It's by Far the Best Lighting Solution for Blender!!! And a Must Have for every Blender User!!! It's such a Creative and Inspiring Tool!!! Thanks!!! 👍😁
I was already convinced this add-on was good, but it still managed to surpass my expectations, it's that good I wish there's something like this for cameras as well. It's so easy to test light setups and I didn't even tried the light customization yet (because I'm using Eevee)
@Leonid Altman Fantastic! One addition that could be useful is an auto naming feature based on lights' relative position/angle to the active camera. When you've set up your lights and hit Auto-Name, any light within "Lights" collection get renamed, e.g. Light.Key.001, Light.Fill.001, Light.Rim.001. Perhaps a more generic scheme that designates their physical location compared to the target object (product) would be more flexible, e.g. Light.Back.Upper.Left.001 and so on. (Not a studio light-expert so this idea may very well be total crap! But hey, great ideas will rarely pop up until passing through piles of crappy ones.) I guess the purpose of this one is to first let the user be mindless of naming the lights and yet have trackability by their names in operations like importing and reusing lights from other setups.
Great idea! An auto-naming feature could definitely help with organization in complex setups. I’ll consider it for future updates. Thanks for the input.
@@leonidaltman Didn't see your response while elaborating a bit more on my previous comment. :) Nice to see you saw this. That alone tells me this is an addon to buy!
Also you can reduce the number of light by rendering a HDR with the addon and use it for the basic lighting. Use the HDR as BG and set it to only seen in reflections. Then come the detail lights. But best advice is always: "Less is more!" Takes a bit more fiddling but most of the times a better outcome and less clutter in the scene.
Yea a lot of photographer do multiple shoots and comp them in Photoshop. Light Link is just a faster workflow. L for light linking is just a faster workflow compare to what Blender has.
Just bought it as soon as I saw the demo. This addon will save me a TON of time. Annoying fidgeting of lights suddenly becomes enjoyable and fun. And the results look so good. Awesome work.
@@supagulley87 This plugin mainly simplifies various light operations, such as modifying their appearance and improving ease of positioning. It doesn’t have anything specifically related to animations. The lights are basic, and you can animate them just like any other lights in Blender without any issues. However, it doesn’t include any specific features related to animations.
These tutorials are super helpful. I am juggling between purchasing this or the new light studio add on. I think seeing these tutorials and guides and the easy amends to the lights in the viewport via the use of the scroll wheel and keys might be the decider for me. Affordable, but I want to stick with one lighting app, so I can get familiar with the hotkeys and then concentrate on lighting and not working out how to use the thing. looks awesome, thank you
@@tomcollins6989 I don’t know much about the Light Studio add-on. In my opinion, it looks very average, speaking as a Blender add-on developer myself. As for the Light Wrangler add-on, what can I say? It offers many useful features, tons of different light textures, and the developer’s strong commitment to improving and gathering user feedback. That’s what I can promise.
Hi, the downloaded addon is actually a zip archive. Inside, you can find textures that you’re allowed to use for your work, including with different software if needed. However, please note that these textures are licensed solely for your use in your projects and must not be shared or redistributed.
I've been looking for something like this for such a long time. I've never been very good at scene lighting, and this addon is going to help me so much.
Hi, thank you for supporting the Light Wrangler. The most likely reason you can’t see the light customization panel is that you didn’t switch to Cycles. It is only available for Cycles, not EEVEE.
Love it or hate it but keyshot has alot of these really convenient features so I am excited that this is also possible in blender now, Now someone replicate the studio function and a render queue the way keyshot does it and we are golden
Whilst it may not be as comprehensive as HDR Light Studio, it's the most impressive Blender plugin I've seen for its price. I will definitely get this when I am able.
This add on is the perfect tool for someone like me. I have bought it recently but not had a chance to actually use it yet but just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it. I'll be doing final shots soon where I'll be using it exclusively
Spectacular! Thanks for sharing this awesome trick/feature in Light Wrangler. I'm guessing there is generally good Cycles render speed improvement when using a baked HDRI like this.
