real reason why Tarja is'nt in nightwish anymore is that those beard guys sees her as thread. there is no nightwish anymore, for mayority of finns. That beard guy. He is SO full of him self. *Vomit*

lol The Tarja ppl. Discovering Tarja in 2019, now, that made me a little sad. Poor souls, i thought. I closed my eyes at 4:00 and at 4:40 i couldn't care less for their souls, i was already out of my own body in some magical land, at peace. For no apparent reason, i came back at 8:10, the apple fall on their heads, and they eat it, end of story.
I've suggested this song to reaction channels a few times. No luck, so far no-one has listened. Such a shame, so beautiful performance. This whole concert is just wonderful beyond words.
these two should take some time to learn the history of this band..she was the reason NW went metal and was the face of this sorry band for 9 years propelling them to stardom until they wanted to cut their own throat and cast her out...
Actually we wanted out. She said she would do one more album then leave. The guys saw no point to keep her in that case so they kicked her out. She and her husband did not want tour so much in USA as the ravenous there was so low. So basicaly she left for money ;)
@@Honken55 actually, she wanted respect and to be treated like a full-fledged member...she was offered much more lucrative contracts by other bands, but stayed...she wanted larger venues with fewer concerts to rest her voice..if she continued to keep their breakneck schedule she would damage her vocal cords...at any rate, why not cite irreconcilable differences without trying to defame your co-worker?
@@Honken55 .. she did want out but was asked and agreed to a 6th album and to wait until successor was found...she conditioned it on shorter tours and wanted larger venues with less frequency instead of many small venues in the, US forcing her to grossly overtax her vocal and impair her overall health..Marco, the humanitarian, was pissed....then they started scheduling concerts and selling tickets behind her back (all documented by her husband, and used to sue the author of the book about NW).... and thats when her husband told Tuomas that she was off limits to him...Tuomas answered that only he will decide who is and is not off limits...after this, very little communication went on...at any rate, they should have faced her and ended it instead of dragging her along and the trying to discredit her before the world..just sad and low class
Yes, thats right, Floor is just a pop/rock singer, that could sings good for rock, BUT TARJA!!! Tarja, is on ANOTHER HIGHER LEVEL, that Floor CANNOT achieve, NOR HAVE in such an enchanted way, with a BEAUTIFUL FACE, and a BEAUTIFUL POWERFUL VOICE THATS FROM ANOTHER REALM!!!!😀👍👍👍👍👍👍
ssssoooo right!...can you believe these two...they are having the grandest feast for the ears, courtesy of Tarja, but all they can think of to say is tantamount to: she just doesn't look like she belongs...typical of new NW fans who have such little clue as to what a beautiful, trully symphonic metal voice should resemble... and the saddest part, to me, is that Floor's current vocal model is so ordinary, with such little nuance...a few growls to sweeten the pot and an occasional forced high note...how impressive..a very far cry from her great performances with her former bands....Tarja hit incredible heights in her delivery in nearly every song, giving each performance the equivalent of a vocal banquet and doing so with no less of a physical output then Floor...the outfits Floor wears are decidedly more daring and , shall we say, risque ( crude) ...that somehow makes up for her lack of vocal energy...and don't get me started on Floors supersoft delivery of ballad..Tarja's specialty, done so soul touchingly by her in the early years
First of all, let them choose who they like best. Just because you like Tarja more than Floor doesn't mean anything to them. No need for rude words about a singer. Tarja has more of an operatic sound and Floor has less of one but she makes up for having other styles or singing and performing with growls and harsh vocals.
@@redfielduniverse actually, i thought they were rather complimentary of Tarja...its true that in those days, Tuomas wanted her to look otherworldly, not just sound like it...and she achieved both, despite being extremely approachable to fans...and R.E. was not insulting Floor..he simply expressed his preference without being disrespectful...which is more than i can say for quite a few of today's fans leaving nasty personal comments on Tarja's reaction sites

@@redfielduniverse xele alex wasn't being insulting either..he/she simply stated an opinion on her current delivery and outfits, but i see your point .. and i love them both, and the reactors preference did not offend me since they were not insulting...but actually complemented her on an enchanting nature and someone who makes a memorable impression...its true that they did make her out to be somewhat out of place, but that is merely the result of their unfamiliarity with Tuomas's vision at that time..i had the pleasure of knowing her back then and she is and always was a warm,sweet woman, and Floor's smile and charismatic attitude suggests the same, though i never had the pleasure of her acquaintance
it's kinda like the David Lee Roth Sammy Hagar thing. DLR was the soul of the band, but then they found out they could be more commercially viable with a more commercial voice. Tarja's voice mixed with a band that intended to be a folk band created a new genre. Then they fired her with an open letter (cowards) because they thought she was spending too much time learning "church music" ( check out her Ave Maria video) . Then, they hire the first Amy Lee clone they could find (Gee, Evanescence was hot at that time?). They fired her because she dared to get pregnant. Enter Floor. She's a great vocalist, but she's a "talk singer". She has a great range, but doesn't have the warmth or depth of Tarja. I'm happiest with my Van Halen through 1984 albums, and Nightwish through Once.
amen...This song and all the rest from this dvd are a perfect example of her tremendous , astounding voice...she sounds like a lioness protecting her cubs...I used to love Floor with her other bands and now she just sounds flat and ordinary..there is some warmth but no depth...my guess is that if she began to approximate her previous classical sound, she would be in demand and decide to leave the for a solo career, and so Tuomas is trying to keep her singing in this ordinary , very quiet tone....
@@xeleelex146 There'a a video on youtube where she sings Ave Maria. It's 10 or 11 years old. If you search "Tarja ave maria" it should come up pretty quick. Blue background, and she sorta looks like Xena Warrior Princess. I've made a habit of playing that every Christmas Eve just before noise curfew in my driveway from my truck very loudly. I've never had a complaint from neighbors.
@@beernmetal6964 complain!... i 'd be begging you for more sweetness from one great one.. you know i generally prefer the harder stuff (symphony x, anthrax,pantera etc.), but when i first heard her sing in 1997 she got to me right off...i just went 5 verbal rounds with some prick who kept calling her an off key talentless fraud just because i dared to question Floor's new softer approach to singing...its become apparent to me that many Newly arrived Floor fans who never knew her from the old days are supremely unaware of her true potential..sad really... my guess is that if Floor tries to sing with her power voice and turns into the main attraction the way Tarja did, she'd leave to start a solo career...

I don't know about most music services, but one I belong to dropped the early albums, stating they will be available in 2035. WTF? I don't think it's the band, or Floor since she and Tarja seem to be good friends. You mention Pantera. Do you remember when Dimebag Darrell was Diamond Darrell? No? This was before Phil. They effectively erased their hair metal history. The Houston/Austin/Dallas/San Antonio rotation made many bands popular, but only Pantera and possibly Solitude Aeturnus reached a national level. @@beernmetal6964 that is a curiousity....you probably right regarding Floor not standing in the way, she is a class act,..but i am not so sure about Tuomas...his resentment for Tarja runs deep,whatever the cause...it seems every other songs he puts out involves being depressed or rejected.if you notice he completely wrote the vocal parts out of some Tarja era ballads and won't even place walking in the air and dead boy's poem on the list of songs to be considered...boy, do i miss Floor's days with after forever and revamp with her sister Irene kicking butt.....sad

when he said at 3.27 - that he thinks Tarja is not good as Floor. I think people just disliked and stopped watching. Cause you don't put NW with Tarja title, and then say Floor is better. you just don't. hahahaha :D
All the three Nightwish singers are really good. Won't go jihad against anyone, they all have their their good sides. With a song like this, you have a snowball's chance in Hell against Tarja. It depends on the song, or on the arrangement of the same song (like in Ghost Love Score): I don't think one of them comes best in all cases. (And in the end it's a matter of taste). Tarja does take her audience. I used to think Anette has the best stage charisma of the three (because she chats with the audience more than anyone and has fun with the guys, which both engages the audience) but Tarja is an emotional bomb, she drives the audience most wild or makes them cry. Floor and Tarja both have built in actresses. Look Tarja's "Nemo" music video or "Phantom of the Opera" live, or Floor in The Greatest Show on Eath, they play the songs like an actress: both very good in it.
these two are into the new softer, gentler Floor, so don't expect much in the way of bringing the great one, from them....they reacted to Tarja's early scratchy, pour audio performance .of Gethsemane and even there she sounded so good...their response was a lukewarm..ehh not bad..
It is obviously that Floor does not pull. Very many old Nightwish she sings worse than Tarja and do not convince me that this is not so. Floor it's time a long time to be engaged in a solo career, as the vocalist Nightwish she has long been held.
yah, if she went back to her powerful delivery , as she has done in her former bands, i would be the first one to come back to NW...i do not expect her to be Tarja like, since that is a very difficult task, but at least put some more power into your voice...
