Just INFERNAL! Between the cuts every 10 seconds and the dog barking, how do you want to feel about a song like this?!? Especially since in addition to magnificent music and lyrics, (Just search for the text on Google and then translate it on Deepl, Reverso or Google Trad...) it's the first time that we heard a song in three parts: a spoken beginning, a second sung part and the last purely musical part. You couldn't make your comments at the end, even if it meant replaying excerpts afterwards?!? What a massacre... 👎
From what i heard (on the internet so take with a grain of salt) this song in specific was made to be something of a response to this is america so i think the childish gambino parallels are on purpose
In a you tube rabbit hole and came cross you. I absolutely love your reaction to Bjork (pronounced B York). I've loved her since she was in an iclandic band called the Sugar cubes in the eighties. Try listening to 'Hit'. Then, if you want to bop, a track from her first Album, 'Debut' called big time sexuality. in fact, that whole album is brilliant. Try hearing 'there's more to life than this'. that track was recorded as she went into a coffee shop, even going to the loo, so the ambiant music is brilliant. I'm from the UK and we get more of the european non english, or just european indi sounds than the USA. Bjork was homoured by iceland for her amazing carrer contributions and was given an island. Again, I totally love your honest appreciation of an artist whose sound you've never heard before and it might not make your car stereo, It's obvious you are open to new things.
One does not just listen to Pink Floyd. One goes on a journey with Pink Floyd. Do yourself a favor and watch the entire Pulse tour from start to finish. Its an experience that will leave you breathless. ❤
Well, not only have i not heard his version, I've never heard of him! Probably not known over here. Kate is a much loved and revered as an artist without peer.
Peter Murphy (the main singer in this) is from a huge goth styled band from the 80s called bauhaus. One of the people that inspired trent and his band Nine Inch Nails. So this was a cool rare collab of Peter singing Trents song and his song at the end.
Also the giy playing guitar is Joardie White AKA Twiggy Ramirez the bass player of Marilyn Manson, NIN for a while and A Perfect Circle for a while. Great musician.
