Aloha. This is an archive of my life in Hawaii, as well as all the entertainment interviews I've done over the years, with both audio and video, and videos of Jaws the red-tailed black shark, who I raised; she lived several years at the Waikiki Aquarium before they killed her in a poorly thought out and amateur medical procedure on her display tank. There are many videos of her here. There are also bird and fish videos - I have a gorgeous baby girl, Poca, and her family. I make videos of them and birds who visit my lanai. Also, in Playlists, please see my nearly seven hour documentary, "The Adventures of Rupert the Apple Snail" - a resource for apple snail keepers and fans: ru-vid.com/group/PLk-7WZFMNBVl8bsTRyRfpUGT2EwYUdhaN The video, plus photos and care details, are also found at his own permanent website, ruperttheapplesnail.wordpress.com/.
I have a Hawaii dove story to share with you that happened just yesterday... across the street, under a building, I noticed a mongoose. Super small, super cute, long like a ferret, but smaller. I started tossing him some shrimps and he loves them. I have to throw bread off to the side for the doves so they don't bother him. We named him Willy Willy mongoose. 🤙 Yesterday I watched him close up, through my binoculars, and he casually waded into the crowd of birds. They didn't seem alarmed and didn't fly away. Huh. Anyway, he sauntered in slowly but then in a flash struck at a big ol spotted dove, like a snake, and ran under the building with it. Wow! No wonder the mynahs alert like crazy whenever they spot him. I still can't get it out of my head.
Mahalo but when you get a radio career for a few decades and have done interviews with these people, and others, send me a link. I'll be curious to review. Have a nice day!
Attended the shows in new York city at Bowery ballroom in Feb 2020 and then Denver 1st week of March at bluebird theater with Local H. Remember seeing a couple in Denver with masks on and I thought it looked strange.
Frank Zappa was born Dec 21, 1940, died Dec 4, 1993. Rachel was born Dec 21, on Frank's birthday, 1993, 17 days after Frank passed. I would love to hear Rachel play Inca Roads. On piano or guitar. However she can do it. Would love to see her play the flute also and hear her thoughts on Ian Anderson. Frank Zappa and Keith Emerson are my all time favorites. Now Rachel has filled a small void and eased my grief.
Someone I didn’t know introduced me to John back in the 90s when he was playing at the Jewish Mother in Virginia Beach Va it was one of those moments in time that was so special the stories he shared with me about Howin Wolf and others man what a beautiful soul 🎶
Such a fun interview. I'm a major fan of Mr. Herb Alpert and his wife Lani Hall. True artists and creatives who inspire other artists. So happy he is on the planet.
Just hearing his voice makes the hair on my arms stand straight up. I have memorized every note on every Sabbath song he ever played and it’s brutally beautiful. Saw them 3 times. Barely survived. Thanks for what he gave us. Td
What an honor to speak with him n get the run down on compared to what. In the video u can see he's frustrated with the gang. N then absolutely kills his piano solo..
This is the first I have heard of him wanting to do another book. This is great news! I felt like his last book was good. But so much has happened since then that I want to read about. Great interview.
