I just saw a book that came out in the late 80’s called “Made in Japan” written by the founder I also read somewhere that Steve Jobs wanted to follow the business concept and design of Sony and Issey Miyake when starting Apple Computers. The signature black turtle neck Job always wore and had many of the same, was designed by Issey Miyake. I bought my first paint pair of Issey Miyake pants when the Macys in SF first started to carry in 1982. They cost $175. That was a lot of money and I was only 18. Not many knew about Issey Miyake and I doubt even jobs knew about until his Apple company started to do well in the early 90’s I never saw anyone else with those pants and I think Macys only carried like 2 of each size or even one to try out newer brand.
Question: So since the A-Type connector has not changed over the years, Can I still use the 10 year old A-Type connector between Two 3.0 devices and receive 5 GBPS transfer?
I was born in 1996, and I remember playing computer games on floppy disks as a kid. I also remember Internet Explorer and how long it took for the Internet to load. I miss that
In 1975 the Research & Development team at Servis UK were in discussion with a small electronics company in Cumbria, this later became a working collaboration and then incorporated into the Servis company. In 1976 using the existing MK72 compact front loader they developed an electronic control panel which was a simple bank of switches corresponding to the 7 HLCC code wash programmes of the time. You simply pressed the desired button and the washer selected that wash programme and all actions such a Temp fill, heated the water, washed for correct length of time then rinses and spun 3 times before switching off. Using a computer wiring loom this eliminated the large mechanical timer and masses of electrical wiring. It also made it much more reliable. In 1976 and at the UK`s largest electrical trade show, AMDEA - (Association of Manufacturers of Domestic Electrical Appliance ) Servis UK presented a World First, The first computer controlled washing machine in the world, The Servis Selectronic. This was truly a red letter day for the Darlaston company. In 1982 The Servis Quartz Range was launched.
It's as if the original designs were made out of glass with a glossy finish, while the modern ones were designed with a flat, matte finish on mind instead.
Many is omitted in this very short video. As other have mention, such as Commodore, Atari, Tandy. And where is Microsoft? Only mentioned for MS-DOS? Heck they are declining right now, but were and still are a major force in computing. To ommit them in a video titled History of Computers is such a glaring ignorance.

Between the times of cave drawings and papyrus, a lot of business information was stored on clay tablets. The undamaged ones can still be read. Talk about long term storage.
