Izaac and Meg here, we have embarked on the ultimate caravan and camping trip around Australia in our Toyota Prado & Jayco Crosstrak.
We aim to show how complete beginners to caravanning and travelling full time can make mistakes and have things go wrong but still live the DREAM and explore beautiful places!
We hope this channel inspires you to put your dreams first and make the most of this life.
Kick back, comeseewithus around Australia, make memories and have a laugh!
Hot Tip Don’t take your tyre off to plug it just drive forwards or backwards till you get enough room under the mudflap to put the plug in 🤟🏼 If it’s a front full lock on the steering wheel to point the tyre out the gaurd and bobs your uncle
@@LNDMediaCo thanks for watching guys and thanks for the tip! We normally do but we were on a tight schedule to get up for sunset! 😂😂 thought this would be the quickest way!
I’m an old bugger with bad ears, just wondering if you had any wind suppression on mic you can use. I know wind is painful but it does distract from the great scenery and your commentary. Keep showing the bad with the good ,it makes for unexpected experiences and unforgettable memories.
@@RoamingFossils yes it’s something we have upgraded lately but won’t be reflected until the most recent videos are out! Thanks for the feedback though! Yes it wouldn’t be a real road trip without a few things going wrong! 😂
Thanks for the real life adventures, the rock structures and colours are amazing. I would suggest changing your tyres to an all terrain tyres so you have less grief as you travel in the outback. Look forward to your next video.
We loved the Pilbara. Thanks advice. There is a whole story to our tyre situation which will come out in some future episodes so watch out for that! But yes we would completely agree AT tyres would give us better durability!
Just watched this video you put out. Thank you so much for your view on travelling . It was very helpful as we have recently purchased a motorhome ( which will be our home when our residential is sold) we want to travel full time. And you’re right, it will be as good as you make it, and if you really want it, you’ll have it.
First time seeing your vid. As our tag refers we have been travelling for dare say 40 yrs. dont take it wrong way but it seems you two kids have the right aussie attitude. We had a $1000 tent, a 86 hilux with a 6x4 trailer, an engle fridge,2 kids, 2 ridgebacks and Made it work. We as a family still talk about the good times and laugh about the not so good times. Your advice is spot on. Well done and make some memories.
@@1WHATSUP1 I wouldn’t say don’t pay for any campsites, there are plenty of good free camps around. Our point is that you don’t need to stress about not getting the sort after campsites in particular because there are plenty of other to camp at that our just as great! 👍
I’ve watched many videos of people travelling around Oz and found your learnings the most simple and practical. Enjoy your travels and hope to see you both out there one day.
@@FitzCass thankyou very much for the feedback! And thanks for watching! Hopefully we can give you some more helpful info in more episodes to come. Absolutely get out there and come join!!
Just waiting for the end of this current bull market with crypto. Cash up and hit the road. Already have my 4x4 setup but still have the daunting task of clearing out the house Ive been renting . You guys have hit the nail on the head with those 6 main points!
@@MidNorthCoastVagabond Hi and thanks for watching! We were trying to be very minimalistic when we left and only bring the basics and what we had, knowing we would buy items when we figured out we needed them! The only things I would say I would leave behind are hobby items like our tennis rackets etc. We found we didn’t use these nearly as much as we thought we would. We plan on doing a video on the items we bought along the way and items you must take so look out for them!
As a 19 year old myself and 3 mates went to North QLD in a HZ Ute . Took clothes and tent and esky .Threw em in the back and off we went. No bookings best trip ever. Apparently now you need a fitted out Land Cruiser and off road caravan according to many RU-vidrs. What has happened to us. Great video.
@@jeffmclaren7789 yep couldn’t agree more! We have seen all sorts on the road! I really enjoy seeing people in simple set ups travelling around and living their dream!
You’re still playing the loud music. You don’t need it. Don’t be like everyone else, I have to turn the volume down when you play the music, and then turn the volume up when you talk.
@@Watson1 thanks for watching a giving some feedback, It’s definitely appreciated! Hopefully in our future videos will be able to make these slight adjustments to improve the quality of the videos.
No 1, don’t have loud music in your videos. There is nothing worse than having loud music in between you talking. So many RU-vidrs make the mistake of ruining their videos by having the music louder than the speaker. I enjoyed your first video and I subscribed. Looking forward to your next video. Cheers
Hi guys a good start we look forward to your travels. Meg it looks like you are looking at your live view instead of the lens of you camera. you seem to be looking to the side
@@Mick_4591 really thanks for watching! I’d love for you to clarify your question for us as we are really new to this and in all honesty are just winging it! Hopefully our most recent videos are an improvement!
@@TheLukaszpg thanks for watching! As this was a first video and first part of the trip we honestly didn’t know what we were doing! Still winging it! But enjoying the process of documenting our travels! What do you think we could do to improve our videos?
@@Mick_4591 thanks for the feedback! We will keep that in mind! Hopefully we have improved since making this one a while ago! Our most recent ones should be a lot different!
We absolutely loved the highlands! We can’t wait to go back and do more exploring there because we only touched the surface! The Dargo pub was really cool!
Why does everyone just plan on doing the "Big Lap" around Australia? Yes it is great around the outside but there is heaps in the middle. We have covered Australia all over a few times including the Simpson Desert (12 times) Kimberly's at least 5 times etc. & have NEVER done the "Big Lap" once! The trick is to do it in sections - we would do a section from Sydney covering Qld & western NSW - over to Southern WA to cover the Flowers - across the Centre to cover the northern WA Kimberly's. & so on.
Thanks for watching! We completely agree! We love it in the middle! But we also love the coast. We are currently in the Kimberley and absolutely loving it! Actually one of our favourite places is the Flinders Ranges in SA and even further north in SA. We aren’t going around the country in a circle either. We are seeing it bits and pieces at the time! We are calling it a lap though because by the end we would have seen all different parts! Unfortunately you can’t see it all! What a beautiful country we have! And we love sharing it!
Great video guys. With your Crosstrak and charging with car I assume you're running lithium? I had similar problem. I contacted support for Projector they said go into the App and change the charging setting temporarily to Wet or Gel I think while you're connected to car and engine running, it should get it charging again and then change it back to Lithium after a short while... see how you go
