Went to the local estuary today and implemented your suggestions. Big difference in the stability, very few targets which may mean bugger all to find of course. Thanks for sharing.
@@maff2008 Thanks for doing that. Didn't want you to go to any trouble on my account. I've been having difficulty in salt water and wet sand with excessive noise which is driving me bonkers. I'll try your suggested changes out today and will report back.

Not really a rugby league fan but used to watch the games on Grandstand on a Saturday afternoon, the one memory that always stuck out was Featherstone winning the challenge cup final.
I'd love to make a more accurate representation of the castle. Could you recommend a decent survey of the castle? I've got the guidebooks by Wakefield Council and Roberts, but they leave so many questions unanswered?
@@BigMrFirebird The surveys done my WMDC and WYAS are pretty accurate. They have the dates of the towers, buildings and curtains together with the outer barbicans pretty well nailed. A lot of those surveys were done with archeological dating of finds, masons marks, pottery and historical dating of buildings through records and comparison of other contemporary buildings of the period. The only area IMO that suffers from a lack of understanding is the gatehouse/portcullis area which I'm hoping they get something solid on after the recent excavations. Which areas are you unsure about?
For instance, I'd love to know more about the extent of the ditch/graft? Did it only cover the areas we can still see or have parts of it been filled in? I ask this because I don't know why the outer bailey walls weren't bombarded and then stormed in the sieges as they appear vulnerable (folks could walk right up to the wall?) in the famous painting?
I believe Nasa simply film here on earth hence the colour change you are witnessing. This was the first challenge cup final that I had watched on tv and I was nine years old at the time. My dad took me to my first rugby league game at naughton park in September 1982. I am a Widnes Vikings fan. Even though we got beat that day, I became hooked on the game of rugby league. A real cracking game to watch.
A total privilege to be there that day. Travelling down to the capital from our small mining community in Featherstone. This was true Yorkshire grit and a day I shall never forget in the rugby league glory days before Super League came along and destroyed the game. No foreign players just home bred talent. The game has gone backwards since the Aussie Murdoch took over with his Sky deals. Thank goodness Featherstone Rovers did not amalgamate and kept their identity. Amazing memories. Well deserved, Hull went in too cocky thinking they would win easy and we got beat. Couple of iffy decisions, particularly the last scrum IIRC but nothing really ridiculous. Was there as a 14 year old, came away and didn't feel terribly dissapointed tbh and was giving thumbs up to the Fev fans on the way back. Hobbs was a top player, with video review that first try would never have being given, Jimmy Leu was not a great defensive centre and neither was Prendeville much cop at all 10.5st lol Keith Bridges was a fucking disgrace, lost most of the scrums and fell off tackles everywhere, Tony Duke would have been better.
@@davet732 True fans of any sport know when their team has lost to a better side. In 1987 I went to the Somerset (RU) cup final: Old Culverhasians, a junior Bath side, beat Weston super Mare - in the 1930s the top team in the country - 16-15. As I left the ground with a load of WSM fans, to a man they said to me 'the better team won'.
