I'm Don and I curate the best design hotels, jaw-dropping Airbnbs + help you plan your travel.
I think video’s the best way for you to discover a new hotel, and see if it’s right for you. Planning travel can be overwhelming, and so much travel advice is gamed. Before you pay, you deserve to know what you’re getting.
I’m searching for the world’s best architecture, unique luxury stays, and affordable hidden gems. I understand that there’s no one size fits all resort, so I’ll give you all the info you need to decide what’s best for you. I don’t accept hotel sponsorships and I test drive every hotel before I recommend it.
I’ll only recommend unique places, with great design, that I’d recommend to friends and family.
I’d love to help you discover something different, and hopefully inspire your next vacation.

Great video - thank you very much. We are planning to go to CR in January next year. Concerning Alamo rentals - I read in their T&C that it is not allowed to drive on unpaved roads unless explicitly agreed. Did you get similar T&C or is this maybe only here with German agents bookings?
You said you went to Yakima... But you then went to Cave B, which means you didn't come to Yakima. Cave B is straight through on I-90 over the Vantage Bridge. There wasn't a single shot of Yakima, especially that random Jimmy John's. If you want to look into "Yakima" wine, you really start in Zillah and then Prosser and Benton City/Red Mountain....
Simonette in Pali Hotel Culver City has hands down the best espresso martinis in LA. I hate vodka but their martini is so great I will drink them down until I’m drunk enough to pick a fight with a streetlamp. Never had a bad drink there. Their whiskey sour is my second favorite in California. To top it off, they’re also very nice there.
Not everyone can afford to stay at the Thompson you say there are no good resorts in Centro we stayed at hotel Irma for two weeks very basic hotel but lovely pools and you are missing the lovely restaurants on the streets and ambiance real mexico
Yeh thanks I get it... I checked out hotel Irma, I'm curaing intesting design hotels...that's important to some, not to others, but Irma is not my vibe.
My son and his family live in Sula one of the small Islands just off Alesund this place is my Second home for the last 12 years. I love Norway thanks for showing this it’s beautiful I was re walking the streets 🇳🇴
Mosquitos tend to not like a sea breeze so you usually dont see them if you're right on the water but I can't guratee you wont... I don't remeber them being a problem. Have fun
As a local myself, sometimes i forget how beauitful our city really is. I have some criticisms of course. Like, there are some areas of the city i think needs more maintanence and renovations. But that's just local politics. Appreciate the video. It's nice seeing tourists enjoying themselves.
Don't agree with your review of the Amerikalinjen Hotel. It's pronounced like, "America Line" because it was the old headquarters of the Norwegian American Ship Lines. It's centrally located across from the train station, and the main shopping street, Opera and Munch Museum are nearby. The rooms are very stylish and have photos and maps from the old ships. It's not just blandly modern, there is a real sense of history and I like having historic buildings restored to their former glory.
Thanks for the feedback. Like you, I appreciate thoughtful ronovations of historic buildings. I had a booking at the Amerikalinjen Hotel, but reconsiered after I visted and looked around.. it's nice.. I agree.. but I also spoted a few design elements I disn't think were in good taste. Not that the pcae is bad, just that Villa Inkognito and The Sommerro are a lot better.... curious if you visted those hotrels b/c they set the standard in Oslo for thoughtful renovations that reflect the true character of the buildings; not good, but great!
How could you go to Jamaica and not have a Jamaican breakfast? Ackee & saltfish w/ johnny cakes, roast breadfruit, avocado, ripe plantain, blue mountain coffee or the curry lobster, escovitched fish, fritters, rundown (vegs or seafood cooked down in coconut milk) etc? Omelettes and eggs you can have everywhere in the world. Nice video overall.
It really depends, see my vid about CR areas, I cover what areas are expensive and what parts or not. eating in Bali is much cheaper. If you are in N America the flight will prob be 2 to 3 x more - so you have to weigh that too. Thanks for watching
