Thoughts: 1) It's technically allowed, and it's a pretty good shot in the context of the dinking game. It's hard for your opponent to defend both the wide kitchen corner and that inside baseline corner, just a lot of court to cover. 2) I don't think it's an especially good shot to practice because in the context of a real game there's your opponent's partner there just waiting for you to try something as cute and flippant as floating a ball through the middle of the court into that corner. They will gladly slam that ball right back at you. 3) Despite 2), I think it actually is an okay shot to practice because I think it's just good to practice all kinds of stuff even if it's not immediately useful in game. Just to develop touch and paddle/ball intuition etc. I often see the 5.0+ players at Sunset hit some pretty weird shots and what they're really doing is just experimenting and have fun. Practice should be a sandbox to try new/weird things!!
Great video as usual Jak! If you get a chance could you tell me what Sheryl's soft-sided ball collector/"tube" is, and what her ambassador code for it is?
