Very interesting testing! I love that for once it was done by actual climbers filming themselves going at it. My question: have you ever used liquid chalk with rosin added? If so, could such a solution help you achieve better results than the ones in this video? (I know some of you are rosin haters because it can make holds slick and yaddi-yadda, but my use would not be climbing related.)
So they basically do what they need to to look like they’re doing something. I actually get it…athletes do all kinds of crazy shit to gain an edge but I am crossed by an individual’s right to choose and athletes being “told” to be skinny. Remember the Slovenian climbers are still “in government service” just like the old iron curtain days. They will rarely be seen in their uniforms but they’re out there.
The state of those poor Cowboy Bebop volumes back there are killing me my dude. Get a bookstop, or just stack them (still awful, but not was horrid as whatever is going on back there currently is lol)
Wow i forgot just how insane they acted toward Deco. After not knowing anything about Sharma the show definitely gave me a perception of him as a total douche
Twi years ago, the greatest ninja " warrior" of all time was a 86 year old man from japan effortlessly throwing around young bodybuilders. This man is the best climber but he's no ninja warrior.
Hey man, Dreschel is not a pedo. People throw that word around without apparently knowing its meaning. He’s alleged to have had relations with a teenager! Big difference. It’s was normal for teens to get married not long ago. They aren’t children.
I was huge into ninja warrior back in the day…. Holy crap nearly 20 years ago! The Japanese show was more fun and funny, with varied obstacles. The America version started that way as well, and got harder and more interesting. But very quickly I noticed it started to turn into about 1 jumping thing, and then an entire course of rock climbing related stuff. Oneness it was all grip, hanging, and climbing, I got bored of it. Lost it’s magic and became a rock climbers event.
I got covid and it was much worse than any flu I've ever had and took me months to get over. Of course, the fact that I'm an old Boomer probably has something to do with how hard it was on me.
I've indoor bouldered alongside Najee Richardson the guy from USA who you casually mention 'made it through the course' @9:59. Dude was flashing v7's and up... He was super friendly, it was only later I found out he was on Ninja warrior. Either way, he's a climber.
i mean to be fair a few years ago i was 6 foot and 61kg which is pretty much their minimum and it was by no means super skinny, i still had a decent bit of fat on me just no muscle. i am now around 74 at a rather low body fat percentage for reference also yes high level rock climbers are obviously going to have a decent bit of muscle so being like 60kg is still much unhealthier than it was for me
