Hi Marta, I know a famous nun & spiritual leader in Thailand. She told me to do this everyday for my own anxiety. I'm falling short of doing every day, but it does help and trying to build into my routine.
As a seasoned investor, the worst thing in the world is having an app where you are able to check on your investments every day. It's a complete distraction. The less you fiddle with your portfolio the better. I've built my net worth by not fiddling. I'm pretty sure no-one here has lived through 3 market crashes (1987, 2000, 2008) If I had an app I probably would have panicked and sold at the worst possible time. Just leave it alone and let the investments compound. Good luck young investors!
If this was a new company. Lets face it we wouldnt use vanguard.. Its so basic, for such a big company its pathetic For me its the low cost global equity index fund, thats the only reason I put up with them..
I don't need anything fancy for investing. As long as it's secure and works, it's fine. But I see your point about how low quality it is considering Vanguard's capacity for pumping money into it.
Its a little embarrassing its taken this long 😂 so much aum, you think theyd invest a little in their website too. Its frustrating how clunky their site is. 😅
Thank you. I've been with Invest Engine for 2 years now and so far so good. So maybe test ride them? My referral code will give you some money to start with, too.
I use vanguard but won’t get the app. For me it breaks a cardinal rule for index investing - look at investments as little as possible. If I had an easy accessible app I know I would be looking a lot more frequently….and that would not be good for my mental health.
Good review - I agree it's a long time coming - but I took that to mean they were getting it right (I didn't do the beta trial they had). But overall it's pretty unflashy and does the job.
As far as I'm concerned, all life updates should be announced through the medium of super-relaxing Moomin house building videos! Sorry to hear about the end of your relationship - I hope you're doing ok.
I find great literature better for self-help than actual self-help books. I read Jane Austen, George Eliot, the Brontes, Dickens, even Tolkien. That gives me all the self-help I need.
Dont forget all your subscribers love you and look forward to your vlogs ! Chin up and keep going x Thats a nice model to build .i might just find something similar for my daughter now the autumn is coming .
Hey Marta, you rose from your previous relationship and built success and happiness. In time you will get to that point again. Keep your head up girl!!
Thank you! I don't use relationships for self-validation so my happiness has always come from within:) Keeping my head up and smiling, and people smile back;) Thank you for your kindness, I appreciate it a lot.
Thank you, Marie. I'm doing well:) Super glad you liked the music and the rainfall. Making these videos and building this house are definite sources of joy. I hope you have plenty of sources of joy too!
It’s been nice to watch your video after a longer break :) I have a ritual with my children at bedtime to find three things that we appreciate about the day that has just gone. I teach them to search for it and to feel the feelings. I feel inspired now to add the three things that we are looking forward to in tomorrow. I see true benefit in it 😊
Thank you Agnieszka:) Wow, that is such a great ritual! So happy for you and your kids to have it. And now I have a thing that went well today on my list - your decision to add the looking forward bit. Thank you!
Yes Marta.. lots of people forget the basic nice things in life, having a close look at a flower and smelling it etc, i feel we are becoming almost cloned by media and gadgets ,all of witch need ,codes passwords / more codes and info and so on . May i give you a 6th reason , You are a wonderfull woman Marta x !!
Thank you so much, Stuart. I appreciate your kind words. And couldn't agree more about the media and gadgets - best to use them intentionally. And yes, I always smell flowers when I see them - great point!
@@krewetkaaaa This is not true. I have been listening to Marta for a number of years and love her channel and sane financial advice. It does help that she is a beautiful lady. No disrespect
Thanks Marta, what a great tip. I'm going to include in my list of things for today seeing your video. It was a really positive message and I enjoyed it. I really appreciated the reminder that you can appreciate the seemingly small things in your life. I enjoyed watching a couple of young pigeons in my garden when I got home today (something so insignificant, but I enjoyed it) :) As for tomorrow - its my day off and I am hoping to meet a friend for lunch - fish and chips, our favourite! Sending you best wishes Marta.
Super nice to see your comment, Marion. Thank you! I really like that you enjoyed watching the young pigeons in your garden. Have a great day off and the fish and chips with or without the friend today!
I listen to my favorite podcasts throughout the day (during breakfast, lunch, etc), and a final one at the end of the day while I'm lying in bed. The last one is usually something funny (Conan O'Brian in my case), and while I listening I think about the day, what did I want to do, and whether I did it or not. I find I have better sleep, ones without any dreams that I can recall the next morning. I think decluttering the mind before sleep helps. Love your outfit, by the way!
