Hey It sounds a lot like my Golf 4 GTI I bought 10 years ago. I am still fixing things it was pretty badly neglected but its 90% there. The Golfsters are nice cars, but they are high maintenance cars.

This looks like a great steal...can't wait for the repair journey on this one. I also been looking around FB marketplace for one of these to work on under 100K but I'd like a DSG project though.
