1:03 - where do you put all your bottles. private bathroom things etc? If you put it in such a vanity, all those would be exposed for guests etc to see. It is strange that in this photo you do not see any stuff like bottles there (to falsely look better than it would be in reality?)
I have a nice big yard with space on the side too. The side yard it's just sitting there looking boring..I want to use that space too..the side yard has a slope which iam thinking of removing or adding dirt to level. After that iam gonna lay down concrete to use that space too. However, now iam debating between gravel and concrete for the side yard space ( 15ft from house to fence and 60ft long.)...my only concern is gravel getting stuck under shoes and bringing it into the house...I have very nice plank vinyl flooring.. we won't be taking shoes off to go into house.
We went with a cement patio with pavers around the border and covered it with a Aluma-wood patio with fans and misters for hot summers. Best investment we’ve ever made. We did this all before Covid happened and we are really glad to have a beautiful clean out door space where we could be safe.
They make it feel bigger and open. As for heat that’s why they usually have a fan. I couldn’t imagine my living room with flat ceilings would feel so cramped.
I grew up in this home and was one of the sellers in 2004, after my parents passed away. If I could convince my husband to move an hour eastward, I'd buy it back! I miss it. It's so charming and the Delaware views just are top notch! You won't go wrong living here. I hope some happy family ends up spending 50+ years in there just as we did from 1954-2004!!!
