This lure is for me one of the best topwater lures, if not the best. The bass can't resist him. But it has a big defect: the rear treble hook comes off quite easily. Seven years ago I lost a big bass due to this circumstance. The animal escaped with the treble hooked in its mouth. But just seven days ago the same thing happened again: another big bass tore the treble hook off the lure. I therefore have two "mutilated" Rapala Skitter Props. I am studying how to repair them and restore their wonderful action. It is not difficult to find replacement screws, cup washers, rings and propellers on the internet. The problem is that the gap where the treble hook was inserted will have to be filled, I suppose, with some type of glue to hold a new screw that will carry the new propeller-treble system.
Este señuelo es para mí uno de los mejores señuelos de superficie, si no el mejor. El bass no puede resistirse a él. Pero tiene un gran defecto: la ancoreta trasera se desprende con cierta facilidad. Hace siete años perdí un gran bass por esta circunstancia. El animal escapó con el anzuelo enganchado en su boca. Pero justo hace siete días volvió a ocurrir lo mismo: otro gran bass se llevó la ancoreta del señuelo. Tengo, por tanto, dos Rapala Skitter Prop "mutilados". Estoy estudiando cómo repararlos y devolverles su maravillosa acción. No es difícil encontrar tornillos, cup washers, anillas y hélices de repuesto en internet. El problema es que el hueco donde estaba insertada la ancoreta habrá que rellenarlo, supongo, con algún tipo de pegamento que sujete un nuevo tornillo que llevará el nuevo sistema hélice-ancoreta.
Ничего особенного в игре...очень даже простенько ..и равномерная проводка даже лучше смотрится чем подегивание ...но тем не менее воблерок очень уловистый по отзывам рыбаков Украины ..спасибо за вашу полезную работу !
I have a story, I was fixing a lure like this, then I went to a shallow river to test it with no intention of catching, just testing the fix. Suddenly a very large black bass came out and ripped him off the line. I was left alone watching how I lost it.

No idea why as many lures are similar, but this lure is pure magic. It was an old Gander Mountain employee secret I learned when I worked there in the 90's.
