Glad to see somebody else's finally watching and reacting to this. What a beautiful voice is daughter has and I think when she gains a little more confidence she might show up in a lot of places with a lot of in a lot of places singing a lot of songs. I don't know if this is one of them but maybe this is one of the songs coming out in his new album that's going to come out in September?
Their first 2 albums are mostly Blues Rock, with the other albums each having some too. I’d say try the studio of each you do, then the lives, & see the difference. EVERYTHING they do is amazing, you might find a couple not your favorites, but you certainly won’t hate them. I can’t remember the guys name, but he posted a long version of Dazed & Confused, it’s about 35 minutes long. He doesn’t react, it’s just the live version, sadly the official RU-vid one was taken down. Just search on RU-vid search, you might need to skim through kinda far down. I think you’d love at Earls Court the May 25,1975 version of, In My Time Of Dying, it’s mind blowing. Also these 2 only studio, no lives, You Shook Me & Tea For One. Thanks for your reaction. I found the name of that guy Dario Romero, or at least close to that name.
His name is Tony iommi (eye-OWE-me), not "Tommy Lommi. This version was not the original. It has a weird vocal mix with delayed verses and heavy reverb for some reason, as if this is a remix. Good reaction, though, other than getting the name wrong. I don't know why, but some people see the name Tony and think it says Tommy. Also, th last name starts with an "i" not an L.
& Course **Robert Plant** is just **WoW** & just **ALL** of them as ya said **Electrified** **Mesmerized** & they just always put me in a **Trance** <3
Unfortunately there's only the audio version left of Dazed and confused MSG 1973 on RU-vid. Fortunately The song remains the the same -DVD is available where you can witness the greatest performance ever and the whole finess. 🎶🎵
@@PhiliminizzyReactsyou can find a long version, I can’t think of the guys name, but he’s been cleaning up some of the lives. Just do a RU-vid search, & you’ll find several videos, his is like 35 minutes. It’s just the live performance, it’s not his reaction video, amazing watching & hearing Page play using a violin bow.
And it's not Nico and Vinz unless Nico Sereba steps in and delivers his lyrics! Soulful, slightly raspy, always smooth, he was initially considered the stronger of the two musically, but from the time of "Am I Wrong?" onward, when Dery finally stepped into the limelight as "the" vocalist of the band, Vinz Dery has certainly reached parity with Nico Sereba. Truth be told, Vinz can carry a song all by himself. To have Nico in the mix makes it all that much stronger, as Nico also does many overdubs of his vocals. This song is one example of this truly special musical collaboration between Norwegian DJ Matoma, and Olso homeboys Nico and Vinz, Nico from Holmlia, and Vinz from Lambersteer(sp?), both suburbs of Oslo, Norway's capital, where the duo grew up in their respective neighborhoods before being introduced to each other by Vinz Dery's friend, Ammanuel Kildane, who became their first manager. Sadly Nico and Vinz fired Ammanuel, with all of the unpleasantness that entails. It dominated the Norwegian new media's attention it had such notoriety in Norwegian society.
Amazing all the vocal overdubs Vinz does on his part. The effect is incredible. I have to say it, it reminds me of the Beatles style back in the day with all the overdubs they used to do in songs. Vinz is a very talented vocal practitioner and has had great luck working with top flight producers, the most famous of which's name presently escapes me. But listening to Vinz's vocals is a thing of beauty.
Hey Philip, I KNOW you're FEELING those opening lines by one Vincent ("Vinz") Dery of Nico and Vinz! Not bad for an ex-rapper who once felt insecure about his singing. No more! This opening vocal performance by Dery stands on it's own!
Agreeing with everything you are saying about his vocal abilities, certainly one of the best in the industry, if not the best. Not knowledgeable enough to answer that question, but this performance absolutely tore me apart emotionally from one end to the other. Had a good cry. Don't know where you find the strength, Philip, with the "weight" of this song!
Alright man, I'm coming in! I'm getting over myself. For God's sake, I love Teddy Swims! Why not come and watch a show! Thank you Philip for the programming!
Yes on Jimmy Page as one of the greats. Not knowledgeable about Jimi Hendrix, but I'd have to have learned about Jimi before I could decide was one clearly better than the other? This performance is as good a lead guitar performance as I've ever seen. Mightily impressed every time with this band that I see or hear music from them, and the Jimmy Page contribution to their sound was an amazing show all by itself.
To your credit, Philip, a tremendous legendary performance. Enshrined forever in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in Cleveland, Ohio as the icons they truly are to this day!
Looks like the Jimmy Page show at this point, but what your ear loses touch with, at first before you notice it, is John Bonhomme's incredibly creative drumming in the background. I wasn't kidding when I said he was (died 1980) was Ringo Starr's "big brother" on the drums. To me, Bonhomme is arguable at least one of the best rock drummers of all time.
Interesting. The bass player, John Paul Jones, is on keyboards in this song. No bass? I guess they know what's best for the song, it sounds great and monumental. Good stuff. Can't go wrong with Zeppelin! Known for their legendary performances, I lived through that period as a mid to late teenaged boy. My sisters, especially Rita were really into Zeppelin, it was the party music of the time!
They, like the Beatles before them, are definitely a "four-headed monster" as a band. If you take any one of them, Bonhomme, Jones, Page or Plante out of the lineup, it's not the same group. And now I'm about to be taken to school in the art of live performance!!!
OK so I'm going to get over myself with Zeppelin and see a legendary performance at Madison Square Garden in its heyday! Why not! Worth it just to see Jimmy Page alone. Bonhomme may be Ringo Starr's big brother? Best rock drummer of all time? This will be interesting. Thanks Philip for your bold selection decision here!
