It has to be said. I've seen a lot (and I mean a LOT) of epic stuff happen in SpyParty. I've been shoutcasting the game for over a year. I'm pretty sure this one takes the cake. XD
Those slowed, raw Rapid-Fire punches did an insane amount of damage. It literally did as much damage as most level 3 in this game. Great set. Great finish.
Great matches, so many strange things happened though... Hulk normal jump cancelling his S on block, lariat and Hulks air throw hitting at the same time... lol
I've seen this happen, Hulk Jump Canceling S when it gets Blocked... its definately a glitch.. Its crazy scary whenever a Hulk does it. My friend never even noticed it when he did it lol
I feel bad when talented players use ammy anchor, like MarliePie and Moons, you're just gimping your team so bad. Ammy Anchor doesn't cut it in 2014, they game has just moved on soo far and gotten so cheap.
It's all match ups, it's true vergil and strider are the top anchors and you're going to see a lot of them, but it doesn't mean you can't beat them if you know your team and characters well enough, have good matchup knowledge, and know or learn the other player's tendencies. anything can happen in a short set. if you allow the discourse to be all about how vergil and strider are the best (which is probably true) and that vergil/strider is real marvel (not true at all) then you're basically feeding into this vacuum where innovation falls off and everyone is playing right into the hands of the few who can actually deal with it. They win and everyone who loses to it chalks it up to marvel randomness.
the thing is ammy brings alot to a team as an anchor, since it gives you a strong mix up on incoming character due to his cold star assist (vergal assit is ok, and about half the character can capaitalize on stryder assist) his income paper+slow down mix up is no joke as well, but i understand that without x-factor his little to nothing as an anchor while vergil can still use his sword loops, and stryder if he has 3meters to use his orbs, but without orbs his damage is pretty much the same as ammy's. and his team cross over is very useful as it goes for a very long time and each hit must be blocked seperately, (it does amazements with frank west and lvl up, as well as letting character like doom, magneto, if they're close enough for a "follow my lead". his infinite x-factor loop is pretty simple as well.
