I want to do this so bad! Part of me wants to buy a working one but the other part of me really wants to do it myself. I wish I could play on one before jumping in.
love to see what you can do with low power i have same set up as you for many years with my old gaming parts with few sas cards and wana rebuild to try lower power , 212w mine just chilling with gpu sleep script so wana see what you can do :)
Hello, im 42 year old from italy and i own a gaggia classic 220v from 2014(made in romania). I adjust pressure o 9bar, switch to basket not prrssurized filter and rancilio steqm wand BUT i never gained a good espresso coffe. I heard about gaggiuino project but i am not very informatic and neither be able to fond any document on discord app following the link on the official project page. Can you help me in some way? Regards
Hey, that actually makes a lot of sense. I dont know why I cut so much A roll into this video! Will definitely focus more on B roll next time. Appreciate the feedback!
Fyi usb 3.0 ports creates some sort of interference with zigbee so it is recommended that you use the included usb extension cable, so if you have any zigbee connectivity issues keep this in mind.
Totally want to know more about your AI workflow. I've played with Stable Diffusion and even have Invoke AI installed prior to seeing your video but I've yet to manage to do anything useful with it aside from the occasional character portraits for TTRPGs.
Already did! But only through a smart plug. It turns on early in the morning to heat the boiler up and then I just manually turn it off when Im done 😇 Power monitoring is really cool. Did you know that it consumes up to 1k watts when the boiler is heating up then eventually stabilizes at around 200? 😮
okay but that's kind of a waste. AI art is not art man. I get the money benefit, but you could do anything else with it. I'm really not pro AI, so I'm kind of biased, but still. consider doing something else with your home server
Hi, how did you set up the AI stuff? Windows VM with gpu passthrough, and managing AI tools via Pinokio? or using Ubuntu Server VM with gpu passthrough and managing Docker containers?
Wow, that's the video I was looking for. I've just bought UnRAID and installed into my new home server and was thinking about playing with AI. Can you do a video about it. Please focus on explaining the concepts, installing and configuring... The only piece of HW i'm missing is the GPU. For now I only have iGPU from my 14500 CPU. Do you think it can work? Even if its slow? Regards from Portugal!
Yes I’ll definitely make an overview on how to generate your very first set of media assets on a self hosted invoke ai instance. I believe Invoke AI can work with CPU only but I haven’t tested it so your mileage may vary.
Unraid with AI? That’s new to me, please make more videos about that- I’m interested. Just bought a custom build with rtx4090 just to play with hypervisor & AI!
It works but rendering can take a long time🥲 Once I have a proper workflow Im going to do some research on what gpu I should upgrade to. Any recommendations? 😇
You should also build a router with SFP using either OPNsense or pfSense for better performance, to avoid bottlenecks, and to have full control over your network, bypassing the subpar ISP-provided router.
@@rjbernaldo_ Consider a low-power PC with at least 16GB of RAM and a dual SFP PCIe network card for pfSense or OPNsense. I recommend Intel for compatibility with most network cards. You can also check out the ZimaBoard for low-power consumption and run OpenWrt on it.

Hey Josiah! Appreciate it :) If you want to self host your own media then I'd look into jellyfin and plex! If you want to self host storage then maybe nextcloud. If you're into gaming definitely take a look at lancache. So many more out there though so remember to not get overwhelmed and focus on having fun! :)
Hi, I'm currently waiting on my Gaggiuino parts to arrive... can you tell me how the timing works for the shots? Do you still hit the brew switch off to stop the shot? Or does the machine stop automatically as per the selected profile. I'm just wondering what happens if a shot is running slightly faster / slower. I'm not adding the hardware scales in my build.
AdGuard is more user-friendly and easier to manage. But they essentially do the same thing, so toss a coin and go with the result. (I myself am using Pi-Hole + Unbound).
I know it would be really interesting, but as a software developer why do you need so much storage? I am cool with my 512gbs with half of them empty, I have several docker containers, VMs, and several legacy big projects :D
Oh as a developer you definitely don't need a lot of storage... Well, it actually depends. If ever you want to self host your own AI models those could take a chunk of storage space. I mostly use mine for those and of course media 😀
The video is really great! i'm wondering if you'd be willing to try eliminating the SD card as a system card for the Raspberry Pi, but by using the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIE-M.2 NVME SSD expansion boardFKS1002 to give the Raspberry Pi access to an SSD for the Raspberry Pi's system!
Hi, Thanks for your short but very informative video. I prefer short over long videos. If I may, I would suggest to drop the background music. It distracts and makes it more difficult to hear what you say (to me!).
Gaggiuino is totally useless, unless you are a computer geek or smartphone addicted. There is no proper espresso brewing than a traditional taste and experience, that the electronics wont give you. There are two many options, starting from a proper grinding your coffee beans. Do not tell me that gaggiuino will tell you this. I moded my GCP to the limits. PID, internal and external boiler temperature , steam and brew, water flow control on demand , low tray to accommodate a scale. The result is. The best coffee machine without any bells and whistles as long as you know what you are doing. You can make any kind of espresso of your like of the roast. You control what you want manually, other than relay on the program of gaggiuino. I'm the old man, and in my retirement age I do prefer brew my coffee manually, because it make my pleasure to do so. This is my opinion but of course other people may think different. I watched the video, and I'm delightful of the new trend.

I'm afraid you missed the point: gaggiuino is mod you mentioned you did on yours GCP + controller with display (instead of analog gauges). So I disagree with statement it is useless. Having experience shouldn't be enough to guess for example temperature...
for me your comment sounds like guys who say that after the beatles there is no music. today there is a lot of paths you can choose and both are good. some likes analog and others digital.
@@dzezydzerk Well than smell and taste your coffee digitally. But yes we all are different, and at the certain point the same. The end point is espresso whichever way you make it. There are many ways to appreciate God. Many religions. But God is God. Thank You for Your comment. Best Regards
@@petersawala you can’t stop it , cars change , phones change etc. I’m fan of “analog “ stuff because lot of them can be repaired. but we will not stop revolution.
I see your last video and subscribed for the quality of the content. Clicked on this without seeing that it was your channel and it was a good surprise. You are doing a good job man, in some time your channel will be really big. Congratulations!
