Nice to see him really enjoying himself on stage, nice to see audience engagement at a symphony! Good for beck... And I can't say I appreciate the sound quality very much in this video but it's a great visual of good times with great musicians… Bravo!
Immensely talented dude. I’ve listened to his Hands on the Wheel cover he performed at Willie’s birthday about 9,000 times. It’s so good that I don’t know how he doesn’t include it in every show he will ever do until his great reward.

I saw Beck around 5 years ago in Indiana but this show was much better. The Berkeley Symphony added so much and he had his original Sea Change studio musicians, "Wrecking Crew" with him. Really glad I was there!
I am still trying to figure out if the person in the crowd who is belting out "You don't want to win this war, because you don't want the peace" is me! 😅 I was standing not very far away from you, I think!
Thankyouthankyou for this gift and for making me relive one of the greatest concerts have attended!! missed the day show and thanks for the other recording too!!
Yeah I went to both Berkeley shows and they played Diane Young, Step, Worship You and Ya Hey on Saturday night and then Diane Young, Hannah Hunt, Step and Unbelievers on Sunday. So six different songs off MVOTC! Still, you got Giving Up The Gun off Contra which I love! And Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa and Oxford Comma the same night in LA is pretty cool, too! But wow the Berkeley shows were great and Saturday night was off the charts! 🎉
A dream setlist.....I mean really. The only missing gem was Diplomat's Son. San Diego was great, don't get me wrong....but this would have been my dream event. - M79, Unbelievers, Bambina and Hannah Hunt were all no shows a couple weeks ago : (
Yeah that makes sense. Unbelievers was incredible, and M79 and Bambina were also really good. Hannah Hunt for me, while a great song, is a bit slow in concert, and is not my fave. I was at both Berkeley shows. Btw you did get "The Kids Don't Stand A Chance" in San Diego which I was really hoping to hear at one of the Berkeley shows. Still, I agree with your overall comment about the set lists.
@@kdarko88 Yep - "Kids" was third on their list. Right before they started their new stuff. In all honesty, they really can never make a wrong move as far as I'm concerned. When there isn't a bad song in their entire catalog, it's not worth the energy to complain about what they would-a could-a done....haha. Just hoping they see my preferences for the next time.
@@ronster369 Yeah for sure. At the Berkeley night show on 6/15/24 - the night before this show - they absolutely killed it. Definitely check out the video made by HipsterVideo who also made this video. They opened with Hold You Now, Cousins and I Stand Corrected. It was so good!
Thanks for this upload! What a great setlist, was fun to hear Ya Hey live too, and the vibes looked to be immaculate there--makes me want to try getting to their NYC show in the next few weeks, even if Ticketmaster prices are being a pain as usual...
Both Berkeley shows were great but Saturday night was unbelievable! Ezra even told the audience, "I think this is the best Bay Area show we have ever done." I hope you get to make it to NYC!
No problem but quick question, why do you love it? Personally it's my most hated venue. I hate the walk through campus to get there, the stone seating is terribly uncomfortable, the audience is usually rude and loudly talking, the staff fumbled an emergency I was part of...
