Bashing, crawlin, flyin and the kings of Hound Haulin. The originators of the traffic cone RC body. What started as a way to get Teddy to run to rehab his leg, turned into a full blown healthy addiction 🤣🤣
did I miss a video bro? did you modify the landing gear to articulating landing gear versus STOCK stiff LG? please share that mod. I agree with fellow commenters loved the video and scientefic methodology used very cool bro.
Thanks! Haha and no missed vid. Funny thing is I JUST did that on thr front gear after this vid becausethe stock gear crumbled on the next flight. The springs are too weak though. Still a work in progress but will definitely do a vid when it's good to go. Thanks for watching and the feedback, brotha 👊🏿
Nice body clips. I use them on a couple of my cars as well. Liberty Francis and Matrix RC use them too. Nice paint job truck is fire. I havent painted mines yet but im getting motivated.
Thanks! Yea, I use them on a couple rigs too. They're solid if you get a good brand. Much appreciated. Ha it's what I wish my old 1:1 f150 looked like 🤣👊🏿 Thanks for watching 👊🏿
Good scientific method. Do you think that on the second and third flights where the gear didn't retract all the way had any effect on the results? Maybe a little but it looks like the prop is not the issue or cause ot why the speed of this plane is "slow".
Extended landing gear increases fuel consumption by 150%; accordingly, the results of comparing propellers are not correct. Also, pay attention to the level of vibrations with the chassis (almost at flutter level) and without. At the same time, even if everything was ok with the chassis mechanism, a normal experiment requires a test bench with a dynamometer.
Thanks! I definitely think the landing gear had an effect. The motor in the Pilatus actually needs to be replaced. Bearings at the very least. But as far as speed overall, this is consistent even when the plane was new. Most reviewers were surprised at how slow the plane was vs what was expected based on the full scale plane. High 70s to mid 80s is what most are getting on stock electronics. I cracked 105mph (10.5x7 3blade prop) with a strong tailwind once and a couple 90mph+ passes as well. I'll be upgrading to 6s soon. My Kingfisher that runs the same stock esc is almost as fast on level passes haha! Thanks for watching! 👊🏿
Bench tests are great for numbers but won't tell you exactly what you'll get in real world performance. And I'm doin what I can with what I have for other beginners in the hobby. I'm sure you know more about the technical side than I do. But the props were tested on about as even a playing field as possible. There's more variation in the results from the wind changes throughout the session than from anything mechanical.
I like layout 1 and wifey said she would like 2 more if the camera was mounted closer to the front. I'm assuming you can't do that because of center of gravity though?
I think 1 will be the layout for Steed vids for sure. And maybe if I get really big planes 🤔. I actually just put a mount on the F-15 to save tape 🤣. It's about an inch higher and makes it seem a bit more forward. Y'all will see a vid soon. Might be the goto for Eagle Fang vids 🤣. But yes, center of gravity plays a huge role. I could always add a little weight to counter it, but then I'm adding weight 🤣
That's a beautiful truck. What ESC and motor u rockin in that? It seems like it might be a tad overgeared for the type of driving ur doing, like @7:55. I would say drop 3 teeth off the pinion and try those drifts again. She will skate for u. Great content. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It's the Max5 g2 1100kv combo. You're absolutely right about the gearing. I need to buy a better motor mount. This is actually as low as I can gear 🤦🏿♂️. But it's otherwise dialed in at this point. Minor driver mods haha! Thanks for watching 👊🏿
@BullyBreedRC I have both an infraction and a limitless V1. I know the struggles with gearing the limitless are real, and I've HEAED that the infractons V2's were the same way. I guess I got lucky when I purchased mine. It sat on a shelf for over a year before I even started building it. The V2's had released by the time I had even started my build.
Man, the Typhon gaps them, but one wrong turn and it's all over lol. I wonder if a squeaky toy noise could somehow come out of an RC (to make it sound more like prey) although it looks like your dogs don't exactly need any more motivation to chase it.
Thanks, fam! Trainer planes are typically high wing (wing above fuselage) have very forgiving flight characteristics easy to land and plenty of safety features like SAFE select lol. Low wing, like Red Wing, and mid wing planes get more into sport, speed and aerobatic flying.
Haha thanks! I use acrylic paint and a brush. First time around, I don't go for perfection and just paint over decals and whatnot. Then I crash and paint everything properly on a rebuild 🤣
Thanks fam! Lol I'd take the cheap Chinese Amazon stuff too 🤣 It is and it 100% will be haha! And a huge field to fly in too. Seems to be fairly open most of the time too
