I was thinking about how amazing Keiko's voice would be for this song, and then I was so happy to see she did it! I loved Yuuka's version as well, but Keiko's voice just has this beautiful haunting timbre to it. She did the same thing with Houseki and Synchronicity.
I came across this video by pure coincidence and you have no idea how much happiness this performance brought me. The Kaori/Keiko ver of Synchronicity is my favourite version and one of my absolute favourite FJ songs... I still remember that one stage in 2009 where Kaori and Keiko were jumping around the stage in high heels. Nostalgia is hitting hard, man.
Me gusta esta versión mas que la original siento que la voces de Keiko y Kaori le dieron ese matiz que le faltaba ya que el ritmo de esta canción pide voces fuertes
Coming back to this after just listening to the rubbish Crunchyroll uploaded as the Yuki Kajiura/Fiction Junction performance on their channel is just making me more pissed! They really need to fix their mistake. Listen here to how Keiko's and Yuriko's voices added more dimension when they came in during the verses and pre-choruses, and imagine what the viewers would have felt if they got to hear this on that award show.
My goodness, it's been TEN years since the last recorded performance of Lotus, if I'm not mistaken. I definitely did not expect one in 2022, yet here we are, with what I think is the best live version of Lotus to date. One of my favorite FictionJunction tracks for sure.
My first time hearing this is this concert and I’m here for it! A mellow and softly epic mood song! That percussion from Mr. Obawo really set the rhythmic tone for the song to contrast the electronic synth and other effects.
@@TheSeeking2know There's a version with Wakana instead of Hanae Tomaru as the lead vocalist that you might want to listen to, from LIVE#7. It's not available in video though, it actually is part of the album "FictionJunction 2010-2013 The BEST of Yuki Kajiura LIVE 2" and is available here in RU-vid officially.
@@ImpossibleCarl69 Oh really? I would like to listen to that. I assume Hanae's version is technically superior (obviously, in my opinion) but I am curious as to Wakana's emotional / expressive take, since I know she can be quite expressive.
@@TheSeeking2know the video is available on this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S5NNN7MOCr8.html I only know the version on this song with Hanae Tomaru, so I can say that Wakana's version is a bit weaker, like it lacks the mysterious feeling of the song, and her voice is kinda drown as the Lead Singer.
I've got to say, as someone who has loved "lotus" since it came out on Fiction 2, I really prefer the vol #9 version. This version is too mellow for some reason. I don't know why, but it doesn't rock me like the vol 9 or the studio versions do. Still good though! Love Hanae so much.
absolutely gorgeous. This is my favorite song in all music I've listened to ever since I've discovered it.12 years later, and it still evokes the same feelings I got on first listen. Yuki Kajiura is truly a master at her craft
Keiko aishiteru ❤️❤️❤️ 😍😍😍 She looks beauty as always.... I don't need to talk about her voice, everyone who knows her already fall so deep on her voice color
OMG!!! The Percussion by Obao Nakajima-san makes everything sooo much better!!! The ethereal feeling seems so real!!! Got goosebumps all over, even before Hanae Tomaru-san starts singing. And when she does... it's just game over for me!!! 🫠
Kajiura-san's capacity to orchestrate blows me away. So much atmosphere, everyone working together... it's so rich and detailed and evocative. Amazing. I wish I lived a few thousand miles closer to performances like this.
I've said this before and I’ll say it again, this particular live feels like a rebirth of Fiction Junction. It’s as if they’re going back to the origins now that the necessary transitions have happened in terms of the roster changes and additions. Yuki Kajiura now has the voices once again to accomplish her renewed vision post-lockdown. 0:55 That haunting and stable tone of Hanae! 1:34 The blend between her and Keiko just works, even when they go up together, before Kaori jumped in to complete the 3-part harmony. ❤❤❤ 2:09 Hanae and Yuriko on top with Keiko and Kaori on the lower harmony (Keiko in head voice)! 2:27 Keiko expertly dropping down to complete 3 parts then going back to join Kaori! 🔥🔥🔥 3:25 Yuriko finally going up top to head voice solo as Hanae is doing a separate lead line. 3:55 Yuriko getting to sing in chest voice. 5:16 Change in the melody. Spicy.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7nIjKUYKQvw.html This is prime Kaori in my opinion. Been watching and re-watching... A song from Sound Horizon (pre-YK) that allowed her to express the full range of her vocal capability across her range, and have a multi-style composition all to herself. Since I haven't heard her solo works, I feel I haven't heard her fully utilized dynamically in YK since it's an ensemble. Also proves she can sing delicately unlike what some feel.
Miezaru Ude is my favourite Kaori performance as well (specifically the Roman live). I love the range of emotion she was able to convey (sadness, anger, obsession) and how it related to the song's themes. Her TTE3 performance had stronger vocal control and she was better at expressing sorrow during the earlier parts, but it doesn't quite come close to the earlier live. I'm still going through her FictionJunction performances (there's so many) but I also agree that Sound Horizon Kaori was "prime Kaori".
