FYI you’re not supposed to be flying drones near an active wildfire. If you’re flying emergency aircraft can’t. You might be far enough away but why risk that…
Back when the only thing you had in your hand was a cold one....man times were way simpler back then! I hate where and what we have become as people today.
Thanks a lot! Awesome information! Maybe I can help you with your videos. Graphic artist in video production guy for a long while, know after effects premiere, all the other stuff quite well. Hit me up! Take care. Richard.
Can you upload the full video of this by chance. I remember this movie when I was a kid and remember it being longer . I can't find this movie anywhere
I remember they had a dinner scene with stakes and a few other scene . It looked like it was heavy edited to make it shorter. You can clearly see it if you look closely
Also there is a scene where dick was stuck almost behind a jeep and had to really fight to get it unstuck. Plus I remember alot more pulling out of mud holes. I wish I can find this movie
Did you use digital zoom on some of the pictures and videos?

It's so down jersey! Straight up thunder road vibes. Used to be a good place to scrap metal! And the place at night! The skid bonfires, boom boxes and Boones farm wine!

Funny how the hair cuts and jeans from 91 are now the new hip thing for young people but ten years ago they would call those jeans mom jeans and mullets were a joke.
I have a question?, I just picked up a GL2 and works great except importing audio. I have a MacBook Air 2021 with proper dongles for firewire capture. Audio won't transfer using FCPX or Quicktime. I found one Story here where someone posted a work around using iMovie. If you hit play on camcorder, let it play first then hit import audio will come through. I hope there's a permanent solution for this. hope this helps someone maybe and someone can shed some light on this issue. BTW I have a Sony mini dv that works perfect with FCPX or Quicktime. Thanks in advanced.
Sorry, I don't know anything about MacBook or iMovie. I am unable to get FireWire to my computer. I use an old DVD recorder that has FireWire. Then I use capture from DVD on my computer. It's a pain in the ass. And I'm sure I'm losing quality too. Sorry I can't help you
Man I missed some good times. I wish I was in my 20's when this was going on. You can't even think of hanging out in the woods wheeling all day drinking cold ones with friends without someone bitching and calling the cops.
FOUR WHEELING FEELING on you tube! Yes, thank you , thank you, thank you! I bought this VHS at a yard sale. Watched many times until one dark night I accidentally recorded ( of all things) American Idol over it. BLASPHEMY! I almost cried, y'all. This video inspired me to buy my own Jeep. '89 YJ WRANGLER and wheel it. I thought this video was gone forever, so thank you for posting it. I'm forever grateful!!!!
Great footage. I was hoping you would share the details of your process. How you shot 16:9, what manual settings did you use, what post processing was used for upscaling etc. Looking to recycle my own gl2 and would love to know the details.
I would Love to. It's been a while, so I just took it out and went over it. The GL2 is not a true 16x9. But it does shoot the standard 4x3 and a 16x9 wide (squeeze) mode. In camera SET-UP, scroll to 16X9 and turn on (Not the 16x9 GUIDES) . There is MOVIE MODE (Normal and Frame) each looks different, I tried Frame for the FILM LOOK, but to me was a bit jittery, but try both ways. Then in the CSTM setup, you can mess around with these, BUT MAINLY...the last in the list, after sharpness, is SETUP, turn this ALL THE WAY DOWN to the left. This makes the picture better to me it gets rid of the VIDEO grayness. After that, Make sure your in Manual mode. Under the Audio record lever button youll see another one, green square, and P in a square. Make sure your in the (P) that's your preset you just did. In the viewfinder you'll see it looks weird. that's what you want, it's 16x9 fitting in that square viewfinder. If you go back to the green square, thats back to 4:3. I forgot to do that and shoot all in 4:3 didn't know it had to be in the (P). Now, Editing... These old cameras are Interlaced video. like the old TV's. If you use the firewire, which you almost cant find a computer that has that anymore, the firewire to computer into editing software will usually make it 16:9. That is the BEST Picture you'll get. I don't have firewire on my computer. I actually found a Panasonic DVD Player Recorder. it has the firewire connector. although slow, it's all I got. I had to play my video on my Canon camera, with the firewire to the DVD Recorder. I burn the DVD then puth the DVD into my computer and RIP the DVD to my program. THAT BLOWS!!! I use Cyberlink Power Director. If the Firewire worked it would be 16:9 right into it. But the DVD is not for some reason. But it is a 16:9 in a 4x3 I think., (Squashed or Squeezed). Then I Make it wider to fit the 16:9 frame, just the width NOT the height. I usually shoot 1/60 F-2.0 or 1.8 for a good depth of field. Hope this helps. If any questions, let me know and I can make a video on it and put that up. Good Luck. Happy Film making
Might be an old camera. They don't make those tapes anymore. Some shot on Card, DV-Tape and Mini-DV, DVTape I think might still be used somewhere. But MINI DV, I bought some 2 years ago, NEW, but were on the shelf 10 years. lol
