The majority of English speaking rugby nations are allways abusing the reffs and intimidate the opposition, playing the man from offsides instead of the ball , it's the only way to " beat " The Bokke, poms are Woke😢😢😢😢
great content , keen to see who will represent the bokke in the next few season's to the world cup. Are you able to show player profiles with stats and age etc that would be great.
Good names, like the discussion. Lots of junior boks at centre to keep an eye on. Katlego Letebele (Joined 7’s circuit now, but in the mixer at 13 for the future). Ethan Hooker as well. U/20 Sharks captain, had a monster tournament in JWC and at 1.9m he needs about 5-10 more kg’s and he’ll be a beast. Lots of talent all around the park coming up. Going to have to balance bleeding new talent and giving the legends of the last 5 year cycles their well earned farewell tours - That’s the biggest headache in my opinion. Some players who you didn’t mention (IIRC): Fassi has fallen out of favour but can see him getting amongst the team again in the next cycle, as well as David Kriel whose been a monster at the Bulls this season. Mchunu at loosehead on current trajectory will be a much better player in a year or two and won’t be surprised to see him in squads of the future.
Two things that really hurt Cape Town 7s imo 1. Expansion from 2 days to 3 2. Taking away the ability to come and go as you wish. I understand why they did it, I really do, but I remember how fun the 1st 2 experiences was for me personally. 1st time we came in, watched the 1st blitzbok game, went out to V&A for a bit and came back 2 hours later for the next bok match. The next year we went to a bar followed by lunch at Rocco's before going back for the bok game. Doing things around the stadium while enjoying the 7s was part of the experience
Luckily Ticketmaster allows pass outs, we actually went out a few times with the 7s world cup last year but yeah, back to a two day event now one would think the numbers would increase but alas
Dit is darem maar lekker dat daar 'n program op RU-vid is waar daar 'n lekker geselsery oor rugby is IN AFRIKAANS, want meeste van hierdie tipe programme is in engels.
Absolutely, and I do think with three of our sides going into the champions cup, it might keep more players in SA and lure more Springboks back home if they make an adjustment to the salary cap, or even scrap it for that matter
Alot of soul searching this week for SA having NZ to finish the tour on. Many games i have seen in my 52 years between our nations, to see the 100th game is incredible! Goodluck Bokke see you at the next 100!
How about Dan Du Preez at 8 for the boks? He's been waiting in the wings for some time now. 3 other guys to keep an eye on going into the 2023 WC: Evan Roos, Pepsi Buthelezi and Elrich Louw. They all so good
In your face defense and quick pace attack... Pretty much all of the test players already played, except maybe Biggar I think rassie is the only one who's been happy with the first 2 games since the lions got absolutely nothing out of this. The sigma lions and sharks did surprisingly well (ish) in the scrums especially, that should be a concern for them I think.
@@Whattheruckpod hope it's not applicable anymore, I fear this time around it'll be much worse. I'm a sharks supporter tho so I feel much more confident in retaining our players, I doubt we'll be shopping much, maybe fast tracking Bongi to come over, but I think there's probably a 70% chance he'll come over after the lions series Bulls should be fine Stormers are the dark horse, the players seem happy with dobson's environment, even with the management screw up (never underestimate the power of a happy camp, that's how the sharks held onto their stars last time) I feel the lions would be the big losers, not only are they not really backed by private equity (if emirates Is a private equity partner they aren't giving them much cash stability), but the players doesn't seem to be happy with the management structures there
You make some good points there, I know for a fact that the Stormers squad love their coaching group and I've been some of their company before, really good men. Bongi is almost a certainty for the Sharks, but there's also overseas deals in the pipeline which is why the Stormers look to Dweba and Marx, luckily Ntubeni remains for three more years. Yeah I have a soft spot for the Lions but I don't see too much of a happy camp as an outsider, maybe I'm wrong. I heard this morning a final decision will be made on the Rainbow cup by Friday and they're pushing for it to happen. So fingers crossed 🤞
@@Whattheruckpod Stormers are my second team so I really hope they can sort everything out, From the reports I've read Sa rugby is breathing down their necks. I really hope bongi does come over, We have 2 young hookers (junior springbok Dan Jooste and fez mbhata who have reportedly been invited to the springboks alignment camp) they could both use guidance from someone like Bongi I'm not sure Malcolm marx would come back, the bulls and lions attempted to sign him but he didn't budge. Dweba is a possibility, it's going to depend on his current club. French and English clubs don't like to release players early tho that could be a problem. Apparently dobson wants Deon Fourie back I heard the lions would have held an alignment camp before the rainbow cup and players could speak freely about what they don't like about the system, combined with the 2 random exits from Marvin orie anx dylan smith. Things seem to be a bit volatile there Let's hope the rainbow cup can continue, more local derbies is the last thing we want now
I really hope they turn it around as well, sadly with the current management and the constitution of WP Rugby still being an amateur model I don't see much changing. It seems as if they wait to crash and burn before they will rise again.
Difficult one really. Warren tends to play it safe and conservative, which is perfect for the test arena and have had plenty success with Wales with that style of play. I think what we shouldn't lose out of the eye is the fact that the B&I Lions tour sides lost to the Blues, Chiefs and if I'm not mistaken the Crusaders in 2017 as well before ending up having a drawn (not without controversy) series against the All Blacks. He can still surprise friend and foe next year.
Great Interview! 🙌 He was clearly always destined to be a great athlete. Definitely left us with incredible memories! Thanks for putting focus on it Angus. 🙇♀️ - Wishing Demetri all of the best going forward.
Thanks for the feedback Denean, yeah I really enjoyed talking to him and learning more about him that I didn't know before. I know he'll do well in his future endeavours! 💪🏻
