The keypad is awful. I get 4 weeks out of a battery. I have a WiFi 6e mesh point 17 feet away in the garage and it’s “fair” signal. Yet a WiFi light in my driveway 100 feet farther is a good signal. I’m gone for 2 months and the thing is dead. So had leave up the old key keypad in addition. The screw to remove it is stupid and will get lost easily. They should offer an accessory with a 1/2 sized battery with a usb port to connect it to power full time. I’m going to hard wire mine.

I know battery drain has been all over the place for users. Fortunately I'm still getting 10-12 weeks. I also agree 100% on the screw and the need for a better charging option. Regarding your question, yes I would 100% recommend using an external Android TV device like the new Google 4K Streamer. I have a brand new 2024 Samsung OLED and I personally do not use it's built in apps/interface. Hi there and thank you for your question. On the bottom of the exterior part of the lock there are two metal contacts and all you need to do is put a 9 volt battery on the contacts and it will provide the power needed to unlock the door. I keep a couple 9 volt batteries in the garage to make sure there's one handy. I did test it and it worked perfectly. Thanks again for your question, I really appreciate it!

Morning and thanks for the comment and suggestion. I don't have any friends, hahaha, JK.... Yeah I had thought about it but failed to plan a head a little bit. I do however plan on testing this when we are traveling next week. We're heading out on vacation and I'll have this and a Galaxy SmartTag 2 in my luggage to see which one is more accurately tracked. That's the real scenario I am curious to see how it works. But I do agree, should have planned on testing and adding it to the video. I will be publishing a follow up after my trip to show the results so make sure you check back in a couple weeks. I did realize that the audio seemed a little low but didn't notice until after I had published. I realized that somehow I had accidentally turned the gain down on my SteelSeries XLR base, must have bumped the dial and didn't realize it, thanks for letting me know and thanks for the encouraging words, I really do appreciate it!

Yeah I 100% agree with you. If you buy a second battery however it's a couple minute swap and you're done until next swap. My biggest issue with the whole removing it from the wall is if you lose that little screw you'll have to go to the hardware store and try to find one that works. Thanks for your comment!
I recently bought a Samsung s95c and been loving it. I have always been using ambient TV lights currently using the lytmi pro and like it unfortunately hdr doesn't work that well, reds look orange and colors are a little off. I do appreciate lytmi box specs minus the hdr issues. I had no idea about the Phillips Samsung app i just ordered some lights with a bridge and super excited to get it setup. Phillips should release it for all TVs or devices i feel like the whole setup with the box is ridiculously expensive. It also future proofs the lights. I like the fact they give you a monthly or one time purchase option for the app. Just in case I'm not liking it i can send everything back. Im pretty sure I'm going to love it.

I really should have left out a lot of the pairing/migration aspect and went into my opinion and why I think it's a good upgrade, which I do, it has been a great upgrade so far. So how does the MQ subscription thing work? Do the various plans save video from all of your cameras? Or do you not have the subscription and only be able to see live images (no stored videos)? If no subscription, would you still get alerts when the camera recognizes a person or the garage door opens?

Yes the subscription gives you recorded history, they have a Basic and 7 Day that give you 7 Days of event history and a 30 Day plan, that gives you 30 days of history. Both the 7 Day and 30 Day paid plans give you, Face, Motion, Person and Open/Close event notifications and the basic plan and free plan give you, Motion and Open/Close notifications. All 3 paid plans, Basic 7 Day and 30 Day give you event recording but the free plan does not. I have really enjoyed using this device, it's performed flawlessly and I get about 90 days of battery life before I swap the battery out.

Hi there and thank you for the kind words! Yeah I don't get it. When I first started using it I was blown away at how easy it was to setup and how well it works. I think it actually responds faster with better color reproduction for what's on-screen and you're not limited to 4K 60, I have really enjoyed playing my games at 4k 120 with the sync on. It's been awesome!

@GadgetguyzGadgets when I got my G920 set the brake pedal wasn't engaging all the way. I took the back plate off and low and behold, a white plastic buffer. Took it out now the brake pedal can engage all the way.
