They are known as institutions who can't pay for themselves but get bailed out every year. It's a FAILED system!!! If it worked it should pay for itself.
It wasn't a dump prior they evicted EVERYONE, LIED AND SAID Mecklenburg Mills and Johnston Mills HAD ABESTOS AND GENTRIFIED THE BUILDINGS🙄 they are not even the same size of the original apartments TELL THE TRUTH!
Look who owns Trail of History. They should call it Trail of Tears. It's Bragg, a corporation buying up all the property and rebuilding while tearing down what was there. Of course they are in favor of pushing this as "renewal" as they did when this was done in the first place, displacing all of the residents instead of local government helping families renovate, which would be truly preserving rather than destroying. These corporations (Bragg and others) are causing the homelessness crisis across the nation. And now they're rewriting history to try to look good. They are not good. The same thing is happening all over the U.S.. Corporations should not be allowed to buy property. Fight it locally, fight it nationally. Get laws voted in to prevent investment bankers and corporations from buying our towns and cities!
They are not just preserving old houses, they are buying up any homes they can get their greedy little paws on. They are scooping up all the rental homes and causing homelessness. The way to fight back is to vote against this exact thing. Communities will preserve their own history; fight back against these corporations like Bragg. They donate enough to make people think they're good, but look further into who they are and what else they own. Fight back!
I decided not to watch this because it's brought to you by one of the companies buying up and hoarding property. No rentals in your area, or prices out of control? These are the people making that happen. Large investment firms. This one is called Bragg. We need to stop institutions like this from buying up all the property and furthering homelessness, foreclosures and bankruptcy of families. I love North Carolina. I hate these companies taking our homes. Fight back people.

Cooper is the only Democrat I have ever voted for. I voted against Pat because he shortened the 6 month UI to 4 months and in turn negated the federal UI additional 4 months of UI from months 6-10. This was durung the Osama years when everyone was losing jobs and terrified of the housing market and unemployment was high and rising. I was losing my job and it really hurt not having that NC benefit i paid into. Trim a handout but not UI benefit period. Its hard enough to be unemployed in a bad economy and want to get back to work.
This woman is so incredibly wrong and misleading about the history of Brunswick stew. It originated in Brunswick County Virginia and it had absolutely nothing to do with the plantation owners and the slaves coming together together to share food. It was first known as hunting stew and that's why it included squirrel rabbit and even pheasant.
Ask the citizens of North Carolina what they have been through. I am a born and raised Carolinian. Immigration is terrible in North Carolina. I am constantly sexually terrorized by immigrants, especially the males. The females find it funny and do nothing about it or turn a blind eye to the harrasment. The immigrants (i.e., Hispanics) keep breaking laws, are heavy users of government assistance, and are big-time human traffickers, etc. They need to go home!
Colonel Benjamin Cleveland is my 7th great uncle. His brother, Reverend John Harrison Cleveland, is my 7th great grand father. It is something about fighting with the Cleveland's we all love. My great grandfather, Benjamin Cleveland's brother, fought along the side of him. I am very proud of my heritage.
