This is a nice watch BUT the black finish on the case is way too cheap and can be easily scratched off. Also, as others have already pointed out, there IS a battery inside which DOES wear out if you leave it without charge for a long while. I had to replace the battery inside mine and an original one costed like 30 bucks with the shipment here. Mine might be an unpopular opinion, but for me this watch is not worth its price, I would have expected some powder coating at least.
That screwdriver is having an identoty crisis, and the door's thinking " Oh no, another bodge job!, please just weld in a new repair section, like proper Landy folk have done fir decades." Its not a ******* space shuttle 🤣😂🤣
Absolutely adored this route 💝 thank you 🙏🏼 it was a fab way to get to Milan to join Dr Joe Dispenza and the Inner Science Foundation🧬 for the European premiere of SOURCE: IT’S WITHIN YOU ⚡️❤️🔥
How compelling is this movie? To travel from the sunny beaches of St Tropez and head over a snow-covered mountain pass in the Alps to overnight at Camping El Tampico in Barcelonnette, and then to track down a random movie theatre a couple of blocks form the Duomo in Milan, Italy...👍
I was very intimidated by this job until I saw this video. Now I can't wait for the parts to arrive. On your last point about the teflon coated swivel balls, my 2001 TD5 has shiny swivels. Does that mean the teflon has worn off and they should be replaced?
@@radsy5821 Cheers thanks for the comment. Happy that it will help 👍. As far as I recall the shiny ones are stainless steel, so as long as they aren't pitted (little rusty dents and scratches from stones, gravel) they should be fine. The older ones were steel so when they got some pitting it would wear the seal faster - hence the teflon ones. Depends on use really, roadwork no real problem. You can also ask the defender Facebook pages, they're pretty good with advice. Good luck 👍💪😎
10,000 kms for an IPA...??? Oh, yes, and this was pretty special right in the heart of Botswana in the Okavango Delta. This IPA - The Porcupine and the Buffalo - is from @okavangocraftbrewery574 in Maun. They try to use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, one of which is millet, and it's nice to see some local specialty beers from Botswana (one of my favourite places). This IPA is refreshing and citrusy, or course! It has a full-on bite of bitterness and some hints of caramel, an IBU of 45 and 5%. A little more length in the after-taste would have been nice, but the chase for perfection leads to excellence eventually. This is the first 'mini' beer tasting in #short form to explore the (rather complex) world of beer a little more. Join us for more quick sound bites and the 'Beer for Beginners' Activity Book coming out soon. I was saving this one for a special moment since we worked hard to carry it a long way from the Botswana delta, and what better way than in memory of my mom's passing exactly one year ago. Cheers, here's to you, joining us as we continue to explore all that life has to offer! Botswana Self-Drive Adventure Playlist: ru-vid.com/group/PLyTy7oNFTvF1em-9E5qmyjhD-K0b-HM5U
😅nice one, mr. poet! Also, as explained in my other videos, one of which is the 'Survival Guide': ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V1YmigSfyws.html - the best Defender is................... your own! Cheers for the comment👍
52 and I finally get my first Defender this week, a 2001 TD5. Not discouraged by this video, quite the opposite :) That said... what are these boys at 11:55 ? Steering bushings?
@@radsy5821 These come off the hockey sticks (front axle trailing arms). They're just an example of the numerous bushes on a Landy. Mostly death wobble is caused by the Panhard rod bushes being knackered. Check there first. Although these hockey stick bushes also last about 50 gl- 100k km. Welcome to the club! No going back now 😅 Enjoy! And thanks for watching (there's a second video exploring more quirky stuff)
Ha ha ha, that little beep beep horn is cool. Nifty little bike, don't use the front brake though. When not in use store the battery somwhere safe in case of combusting.
Here's the link for more info on the DYU A5: pboost.me/XbGDBEHE And an Extra Discount Code: DYU-P Generally very impressed with all aspects - nice style, good power, excellent fittings and finish, it folds away easily and very compact, and for a large guy, I can get around very well! Thanks for watching !
@@ASimplyFabLife Just bought. Nice little gear, only the proprietary valve connector is a pain as the cartridges are quite expensive (nearly double than normal cartridges)
Great Drone shots 🤙. Kubu looks. I’ve and green. What time of year was this? LOL we technically passing each other in cyber space 😂. Did my Rhino sanctuary last week 😜
We were there in May and stayed in Camp site 3 right across from where you stayed, and that big male walked back and forth to the septic system all day and night. Quite as a mouse. Startled me several times by coming up behind me within 10 feet or so. Nxai pans water holes were always something. So much wildlife all taking their time. We also did Elephant sands and there was several dozen in the waterhole at any given time.
This is such a cool little national park. Really overdelivers - you've got the waterhole going, that remote feeling, dry heat, and the elephants just do their thing😊. Lovely! (I wonder how many of the elephants are making the crossing from Elephant Sands to here?🤔😉)
Episode 18, and the final leg our journey through Botswana. I hope you have enjoyed the ride! Khama Rhino Sanctuary is community-run, like many of the campsites and national parks in Botswana. The facilities are really good - restaurant, pool, campsites, ablutions and the park has excellent chance of spotting rhino (of course)! Enjoy the blog post at asimplyfab.life/khama-rhino-s...
Here in UK we can buy the replacement channel to replace that bottom section of the doors and weld in the new steel to the frame after cutting out the corroded section. This summer I have both my door bottoms to do. There still needs to be some glue or sealant between the frame and the aluminium skin to stop the electrolytic corrosion, but a good repair should be good for 20 years when done properly and treated with internal wax or corrosion inhibiter. It is cheaper to do that than buy replacement doors which may have corrosion started already. New doors are very expensive.
Fantastic trip & like all your films, so relaxing to watch. Although I still go back & watch the one you did of Gibraltar. Don’t know how many times I’ve watched that now, ha. Just keep on going folks😊
