Hi there, Ruha here and welcome to That Engineering Girl, where we engineer our lives together, literally and figuratively. I'm an Electrical and Computer Engineering student in Canada, so we'll be discussing all things tech, in addition to my personal favourite topics like productivity and mindfulness. Join the journey!
Try start from the top (chin up position already) with a step and slowly lower yourself for a few reps. Also keep doing what you're doing You got this 💪🏾
Exactly, also something I bring up in the video! A basket is a good idea, I was intent on finding a folder slip-in, something like what I used in elementary. I'm going to try to find a basket now, thanks for the idea.
I actually bring this up in the video - I was looking for one, but found that I could just use a textbook I had laying around. I also don't have that many pens, and really like how it turned out with the books underneath.
@@that_engineering_girl It was!! I was overthinking it a bit before going since I had no idea how it was going to work out 😅 But it was definitely more chill compared to what I expected. Also wearing heels part was right my feet were hurting so much lmaooo 😭 but it is what it is
@@AyyylullGlad you had an awesome time! Heels is a rite of passage at this point, haha. Welcome to the engineering club, I love having more women to do some cool stuff with.
No way! I randomly happened on your video and you talked about being part of the Explore program & my brother is part of the Explore program this summer too! Today's the last day of the program and he's getting back home soon but I'll totally ask if he happened to meet you. He didn't live in Trois-Rivieres tho, he lived in this super small town Trois-Pistoles
That's super cool! I actually did the spring session (I'm assuming your brother did the summer session), but I'd love to know what his experience was like. Regardless of if he liked it or not, it's a valuable learning experience so I hope he enjoyed it.
@@that_engineering_girlOop yeah he did summer, my bad I thought your timelines matched up. He says he liked it & got to practice French in a way he couldn't here, but I think he's more happy to be back home where his meals and laundry are taken care of for him lol. But he def says he'd consider doing it again!
@@aktoro7313love that, glad he enjoyed it. I definitely have a newfound interest in French too. It's always nice to be sheltered by parents haha, so I totally get liking being back.
Wow.....such an wholesome video..came at the right time..coz i feel the same and i can totally relate...nobody has documented those feelings...thank you so much
Can you give a little more info on what type of question you want to ask? If it's related to my social media, I'd suggest just posting it here. If it's a business inquiry, email me here: info.thatengineeringgirl@gmail.com, but if it's a professional inquiry, feel free to reach out to me on linkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/ruhajaved/
@@that_engineering_girl no actually i'm in the 2nd year of computer engineering and i was going to ask if you could give some suggestions to get an internship thank you for your answer ...
@@kaanaktas5620 Ah, I see. I'm actually thinking of making a video on this so thanks for reminding me! If you have specific internship questions, you can feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn, but otherwise keep an eye on my channel. Quick tips that I can think of are: 1. Be authentic in interviews. Say what you want to say, not what you think they want to hear. 2. If you have no prior experience focus on highlighting projects on your resume (if they're projects all students do, also make sure to differentiate your project from others). 3. It's a numbers game and getting the first internship will be the hardest. 4. Reach out to people on LinkedIn who have your ideal internship and do an informational interview. These are not intended for asking a referral and are actually really useful to gauge if you even want to work there, because the work doesn't mean anything if people don't treat you right. If it goes really well, you can definitely ask if they would be willing to pass on your info to a recruiter or refer you.
