I got a Caran d'Ache Leman and soon got a 2nd Leman...undoubtedly the smoothest and most well built fountain pen! It is like butter on glass...have many others but nothing beats the Leman!!!
I just love the Pelikans, but actually prefer the old style with its transparent stripes and plastic finial. The M600 may be the best value and size in my opinion, but the brass mechanism of the M800 is something pretty neat as well. One day I will get one!
If you held a normal high quality lacquered pen by the likes of waterman or Mont Blanc and an Urushi lacquered fountain pen. You couldn't tell the difference, that's a fact. It's insane to spend $1500 or $2000 for a pen that probably normally be worth $200 just because of Urushi. And I've got pens worth over 2k, I'm no stranger to expensive pens. But this is insanity.
I used to think the differences between the Pelikan (I have an M800 extra fine) and the Meisterstuck were entirely subjective - I prefer the bouncy nib and buying extra fine minimizes the wetness - but frankly if one wants a stiff pen that is also wet one can buy a nice big steel nib.....perhaps some emperors truly have no clothing....."precious resin" is plastic! Thanks for the comparison and such an honest review which made me subscribe to your channel ❤👍 I totally agree with you about the quality of Montblanc not matching the ripoff price they charge😢 Could you please review Montblanc Egyptomania Doue Ballpoint 🙏
Great review, thank you! I’m kind of sad because I’m really not a fan of eyedropper pens. I wish it was a vacuum filler instead. Also, there is no ink window which would drive me crazy! But it’s still on my bucket list! Thanks again! God bless you! 😊
Montblac was my school preference Fountain pen, not really a status symbol, but it's looks gorgeous even a school boy's pocket hanging that awesome Snowcap. It was a treasure item, greatest possession of all looking at the Huge two tone Intense Decorative Nib, silver nib with a Gold artistic mastery. Maybe not suitable for school but I bought it with my money to enjoy extreme writing experice even taking notes and writing journals. Meiterstuck 149 is a mystry fountain pen the moment one opens the cap it will grips you and take to the world of writing and kept on filling fountain ink oozing out from the Montblanc nib of greatest everlasting writing encoded with joyful experiences.
Hey love your videos. See you haven't posted but maybe you still check these messages. For the custom Urushi, are you happy with the MF nib or know if the medium is better? Someone who is experienced/has a ton of pens and loves the custom Urushi also but said he found the MF a tiny bit scratchy. Have you tried any other nibs? In Pilot my favorite nibs are SF/SFM + the FA 15 is my favorite nib. Thanks for any help before I pull the trigger.
Excellent review from which I learned a lot! Thank you. Please do all the non-native speakers of English a big favor and enunciate your words more clearly. It was often difficult for me to understand the words because they were sort of mashed in together.
Thanks for the excellent video, Sir. I can tell I love the ink you use @5:28. Brown shades are my favorite inks. And that ink looks a lot like one of my favourite browns, which is Montblanc Homage to R.L. Stevenson ink!
Nice pen, I have both fine nib, M200 and M800, thinking of getting an M600 as the M400 is already the same size with the M200. I am thinking of trying out the Medium for a change but I have doubt that I might not like it if it's too thick, hmmm, decisions, decisions. I see you didn't have a Pelikan medium so i can see the thickness. That Cambon is sweet.
