Apollo is in the bottomless pit. Put there by the arch angels. He is fallen. Satanic. He’s not cool, he doesn’t like you or me. Or humanity for that matter. Jesus is your King.
In view of the other comments to this video, I want to note that to be accurate, the greatest and most powerful Olympian god was the chief supreme god Zeus. This is evident from the works of the ancient poet Hesiod and many other ancient authors. According to one of the hymns dedicated to Apollo, when he was born Apollo declared: "The lyre and the curved bow shall ever be dear to me, and I will declare to men the unfailing will of Zeus.” When Apollo killed the cyclops who had made the thunderbolts of Zeus in a fit of anger, Zeus stripped him of his divinity and powers, and made him serve the mortal king of Thessaly as a shepherd for a year. When Poseidon and Apollo attempted to rebel against Zeus, he punished them both by making them serve king Laomedon and build the walls around the city of Troy. Zeus as the ruler and father of the gods and the supreme god subsumed all the attributes and powers of the other gods, including Apollo. Zeus was not only powerful in physical strength. For example the nine muses, goddesses of creativity who inspired many domains of art, science and literature, were the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and the sisters of Apollo.

I can't think of this as anything more than clickbait. Apollo even in the Hesiod has never been hailed as even the third or fourth strongest god talk more of the strongest. You have Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Athena, Nyx, Hera and mamy others(this is in no order btw). Zeus in all of greek mythology has been popularly named as the strongest and even that is arguable because there are gods like Nyx who he was weary of. Apollo can be said to be within the bottom six ranks of the Olympian gods. It's a good thing that you're talking about mythology but if the channel is going to be misleading without an ounce of research put into it, then it's unfortunately not going to go far when there are multiple channels that tell mythology truly as it is written in the hesiod and other records. This is just a terrible attempt.
Thank you for your comment. I think you have a valid point. I also think the phrase "the most powerful" can be a subjective judgment, so please let me elaborate as to why I believe Apollo was the most powerful god. If we're talking about power in terms of strength, Zeus would clearly be on top. However, beyond sheer physical strength, Apollo's dominion's of prophecy, music, poetry, illness, healing, and the sun might be even more significant. Each of these domains was central to both the daily lives and spiritual well-being of all ancient Greeks. Through his oracle at Delphi, Apollo's access to knowledge and the future could be seen as a form of power that even surpasses the more direct, physical power wielded by other gods. As the god of the arts, specifically music and poetry, Apollo shaped Greek societal norms and values. Apollo is also associated with the sun, which is fundamental to the existence and progression of all life on Earth. Apollo has a subtle but pervasive form of influence over just about everything that is important and essential to human life. His power, while different in nature from Zeus, is so integral to the fabric of human and divine life, that we can argue he is the most powerful Greek god. That is what I believe, but I do understand that not everyone will share my views and debate is healthy.
You undermine Apollo quite a bit. He is probably the only god who killed a giant while he was still a child, as he was only 4 days old when he killed the giant dragon Python. While not as strong as Zeus himself, Apollo is arguably the strongest amongst Zeus' sons, on par with Athena. In the Homeric literature, he was able to frighten all the Olympians except his father. He is also pitted against Poseidon but there is no conclusive winner to that match, so he was at least at the same level as Poseidon. I'd argue Hades is the one who's in the bottom ranks, given how he got injured by Heracles while Apollo was able to hold his ground against Heracles.
@@thissunisours In this format, I would admit that your reasoning is quite accurate. Apart from the symbolism though, in the mythological accounts, Apollo's power isn't quite the most powerful god as other gods have symbolisms that are essential to human existence. I agree Apollo has the most diverse connection to human existence but we would still need to give credit to the mythological accounts.
@@thisisnotmynam I know Apollo can be argued to be the most powerful son of Zeus but I believe Athena is still the most powerful child of Zeus as it was stated even in the mythological accounts. Also, Heracles shouldn't be a measure of strength as there are things that may factor in both matches. One, Hades isn't known to be much of a physical god. His job description itself is a factor as he doesn't deal with living beings. That shouldn't be the measure of their strength. I certainly believe that Hades is more powerful than Apollo in his general ability as a god
@@starz3415 I mean, in terms of seniority sure, Hades is superior. But that's not what I'm talking about here. Hades trembled in fear during the trojan war because of all the fight, while other gods like Athena and Apollo continued on the battlefield like it was nothing. Add to this the fact that Hades pretty much has no myths where he defeats someone, (he doesn't even get involved during gigantomachy) what reason do we have to believe that he would be stronger than any other gods? Sure he has more authority than his nieces and nephews and he's elder, but that doesn't automatically equate to being stronger than some of them. Even Kronos was the king at one point but he fell to Zeus.

I am going to be the guy Apollo is in no way shape or form the most powerful Greek god. But the most powerful Greek Gods would be his great grandparents the primordial gods Uranus and Gaia,
@ianpgmusicfanfictionart Thank you for your comment. I answered a similar comment and I will paste it here as well because I think you also have a valid point. @@thissunisours I agree with you completely Apollo was very different from the other gods Apollo would've been better suited to rule Olympus than Zeus since Apollo was the most loved. The ancient Greeks believed in magic but I believe that the gods were these beings who can manipulate the energy and matter in the universe since energy and matter did come from Chaos and I also want to say that I love your content especially with the imagery I've never seen anyone do that in any other mythology videos
@@Ebutuoy151 Thank you for your kind words. Really love hearing from fellow myth enthusiasts because this subject is so rich with endless possibilities to ponder and explore. I also think describing the gods as "beings who can manipulate energy and matter in the universe" is beautiful. That's exactly what their power was and that wording makes it all that more interesting.
@@Kingofallcurses1 That's because Islam is a monotheistic religion. There are usually many gods in mythologies and they offer a beautifully nuanced view of the world.
