Ben Keith is a super lad and a great personality i never heard him say a bad word about any bookmaker knows the game and how to play it hes a credit to the profession of bookmaking. A young man but very old school in his methods.. TOP MAN BEN!! GOOD LUCK..
Beautifully cared for greyhounds, spotless condition well done. I have a retired racer from Droopys Scolari, Pauline the Boss, Ireland.Raced at Harlow. Please watch her run, I have put up a utube clip. Thank you
Dude quit breathing onto the mic once your done talking. Push it away, sit back in your chair, if its attached to headphones , take yhe damn things off. Sounds like your are having sn asthma attack for Pete's sake
I work in a Ladbrokes in Thurles Ireland... Always loved greyhound racing. There is no Irish greyhound racing except Derby... Lots of English racing but it's an after thought, no emphasis on it, often no commentary, with USA horses getting preference... The most I've seen is that cockney Dave coming on giving his selections before night time racing but ladbrokes and other bookies know that main betting in shops is day time horse racing times.... Nobody goes anymore because a) prices are Terrible from punters point of view, b) and then u can't get on, c) nobody knows when big races are with top dogs, where as Cheltenham and grand national etc everyone knows even if not into horse racing. Bookies hand out next day racing for horse free in shop, you don't even know what dogs are running 2hrs in advance until papers are changed in shop, coz dogs are always on back of something else in display papers. And racing post news paper is poor for morning and noon dogs, even though that's there product. They don't know how to sell it... And they are afraid of dog punters, there is less mug punters in dogs
North east no meetings on Sunderland used to get 1000 in Friday Saturday nights when Kevin Wilde had it Pelaw races on Sundays mad how dog racing has gone
I cannot understand why they didn't just buy Thurles or clonmel track. Heart of Ireland, biggest breeders and trainers in the country, and neither track is owned by GRI. Thurles and Clonmel are at risk of closing, badly need investment and marketing and refurbished... And they have gone up north where no buses or trains go for a wider audience to attend. And in clonmel no bookies show up at all most weeks, so they would have a monopoly of the takings on the night. Good luck to them in lifford, but I think they missed a good opportunity
That is so awesome! I can't stand these people who think awe those poor greyhounds made to race. I adopted a retired grey and when some stranger comes up to me and says "that's great u rescued her". I always explain these dogs absolutely LOVE TO RUN AND RACE!! An abused dog would not even run..well maybe try to jump out of the track..lol I have met a lot of retired racing greys and not one showed signs of past abuse! Anyways I'm in the USA and I wish the sport was treated the way it is over in Europe!! They keep shutting down all the tracks here!! Im worried one day we won't have any greyhounds!! And I wish the whole racing greyhounds is abuse attitude would end! These dogs are born to run and are very happy and content ..I actually think my girl is depressed sometimes cause she doesn't race anymore. I take her jogging but that's not The same.
Thanks Melanie - have an ex racer too. Nobody wants to know how well these dogs are treated. Tell the public that they are abused and you can guarantee news coverage and donations to crooked organisations
