My name is Issy and I started this channel with the hope of helping anyone who has difficulty relaxing, falling asleep, or letting go of worries.
I’ve dealt with insomnia for years and know it can be an awful time. Nights upon nights of lying awake with worries running through your mind are very draining, but I found that asmr could help quiet those thoughts.
I hope to make asmr videos that help people the same way that others did for me, while also sharing some of my favorite reads along the way. Thank you for being here and I hope you enjoy! :)
If you enjoy my videos and would like to support me, there is a link to my virtual tip jar below! Thank you for all your support and kindness 😊🩷
Awesome! That’s so fun that our tastes align! I recently made a Goodreads, but have yet to update it with my past/present reads. I’m planning on listing a link to my profile in upcoming videos once I have it updated!
Another great video. You said you love Agatha Christie, have you read any Ngaio Marsh books.? She was another 'golden age detective' writer. I'm currently half way through Death at the Dolphin. Her books are brilliant, and I would highly recommend them, especially Death in a White Tie and Singing in the Shrouds.
Such a fantastic video. Love the nails and the tapping is, again, superb. The fluffy mics are my absolutely favorites for relaxation. You’re really doing a great job and I always get excited to see a new video from you!
I know I said 10 books in the intro, but 11 books are mentioned in total 😅 This is because I had yet to completely finish Funny Story at the time I filmed this and didn’t want to count it in the total since I technically wasn’t done with it yet haha. However, I did finish it by the end of July and really enjoyed the end! Solid 7/10 read for me! <3
I completely understand! Very sorry the ads are interrupting! I am new to the RU-vid scene and am not 100% sure how to remove the ads. I myself haven’t approved any ads or placed them in any of my videos. From my research I’ve found that apparently RU-vid has a policy that allows them to place ads in all videos, whether or not the channel is monetized. I am not monetized, just making videos for fun and to share some reads; however, I am actively trying to find a way to fix the excessive ads RU-vid keeps placing in my videos. So far, I’ve only been told that until I reach monetization, I have no control over where RU-vid places mid-roll ads and can’t remove them :/
I really appreciate that you tell us about the books in your own words instead of reading from the covers or jackets!! Really enjoy your video style :)
Omg this is always what I’m looking for before bed! I always choose month recaps and summaries and stuff and I’m so glad there’s finally an asmr version !!
Such a relaxing video! And we have a really similar taste in books which is rare! You should really read The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, I absolutely loved it!
wowie your ASMR is so relaxing! and i'm definitely gonna have to check out The Sword of Kaigen after that review! thanks so much for the awesome content ☺🩷

While I respectfully disagree with your take on Game of Thrones, I love your content. You are very relaxing, you have a great whisper combined with great tapping and room white noise. I hope you keep producing great videos and keep reading tons of books! I’m curious - do you buy each of these books for yourself, and if so, what do you do with the books after reading them? 100 books a year are a lot to store in your home I’m sure. Not to mention the cost. :).
Thank you so much!! So glad you’ve enjoyed! 😊🩷 & for the most part I do buy my books new or used. I love collecting books & steadily growing a home library so purchasing books is worked into my budget. I find books on Ebay and thrift stores (& oftentimes they are in nearly perfect condition!) but for books that I reallyyyyy love and cherish I do end up buying a special edition or hardcover version at some point. For me, keeping books and being able to see them on my shelves is almost like a time capsule to the part of my life I was in when I first read them. Especially with my favorite books, getting to look at them and remember how much they meant to me during the time of my life that I found them is super special :)
'The Starless Sea' is a gorgeous book, I'm sure you'll love it. On the cover of 'A Little Life', the man isn't tearful... the photographer was called Peter Hujar and that image is titled 'Orgasmic Man' .
This was so relaxing, omg thank you. Your nails sounded so nice on the books and the whispering was the perfect background noise to settle down for bed.<3
Also, jealous ypu read 14 books! Was proud of myself for reading 8😂 I'm not a fan of fantasy, I just can't get into it 😢but I really want to like it! I've been enjoying a few thrillers lately.. but I like when the characters have emotional depth and they're likeable or relatable. Would love a video of your all time favourite reads... and how and what ypu annotate.. like reading through your fave quotes/tabs ❤
Awesome ideas! I will definitely aim to make videos like that soon! & 8 is a great number too! I try to read around 10 books a month but I felt like I was on a roll this past month haha 😅 But what’s really important is if you love what you’re reading! I try not to put too much pressure on the number just so I really enjoy and value the books I do get to read. Fantasy & Sci-fi are my top two genres, I just love the depth you get to see in characters during longterm series. If you love thrillers and characters with emotional depth I think you’d love “Strange the Dreamer” & “Muse of Nightmares.” It’s an amazing fantasy duology that doesn’t have too many povs, has amazing character depth, & has a thriller feel especially in the second book. Not precisely a thriller/fantasy but I’d highly recommend it!🩷
I loveee these kind of videos 😊❤ I absolutely love ur taste in books, and ur voice and tapping are super tingly ❤❤❤ Looking forward to another video and I hope you enjoy all of the books ❤❤❤
Loved it.. great selection..absolutely perfect tap ..flip..scratch.. ..I hope ur channel flourishes.. u seem like ur a born natural… bout time u got here to RU-vid .. I’m an avid asmr tap and book/page flip searcher and this is definitely my dish.. ❤
