"I believe most of the world’s problems are just interesting design challenges in disguise." On this channel, I bring this philosophy to life by exploring how creative tools can unlock new ways of thinking and problem-solving.

Thank you :) The poste is part of a recent kickstarter I supported. Its related to, u guessed it 😂, another new deck/tool called Visual Frameworks - visualframeworks.com Im working on a review of it but it’s pretty cool.
Super clever premise for a deck. I do enjoy how the back of the card links out to content as well. Marketing or not, it is super tightly integrated. Thanks for sharing.
What future role do you see as crucial for our society in the next decade, and how might you prepare to either fill or support that role using tools like the Futury Journey Tool?
In 2:35 we have to mode. When we select Yes and private mote ends, all the collaborators will see the author or only I as facilitator have the power to see them. Need is that for all, it acts as private mode always but as facilitator I should be able to see who does what so that at later stage I can address the concern of specific person.
We were considering to just create a simple Google Form / sheet. The other alternative we explored was to pop it into Mural/Miro ourselves. It might just be a pain to do the initial capture of the quotes and indexing the cards.
Hey. Can you explain a little bit more? What do you want to do? (I use Mural for my digital work - usually exporting and cropping pdf files to separate images).
These look really interesting but I can’t believe the postage is almost as much as the cards! Weirdly if they’d charged $40 without adding charges I might have purchased them. Miserliness is clearly one of my barriers to change… 😅
Ouch. I can’t remember paying that much (and I’m pretty tight with the old $$$). Maybe drop ‘em a note - had had some success with other vendors before.
I recently experienced a lack of "change management strategy" - kinda, "Changing the engines while flying the plane" approach if you will. Not fun at all. How do you deal with change?
I’m realizing only now that this might something it’d love to do, so I’m looking for info over the internet. I’ll buy the books you suggest and I really want to thank you for the explanation! 🙏🏼🍀 I wish you all the best
Great, thorough explanation on how to navigate these cards and how we can use them in a variety of ways, in conversation with other people or in groups, or even to do some individual self-reflection.
I’m totally geeking out about how this tool breaks the conventional of the “design tool card deck” with the viewer - kinda forces you to go out and explore the world. Driving action and reflection - What do you think?
Love the interactive element of that viewer. Often I find myself asking a few of these questions, and usually in order of what interests me most rather than taking it step by step to really understand it (not intentionally of course, I'm only realizing this now that I'm reflecting on this video 😆). To have the questions there in front of you really goes a long way to expand your knowledge/outlook on things! Great video and introduction to the deck.
Glad you enjoyed it. To be honest I totally got sold on the viewer first :) just had to have it. Once in my hands the simplicity of this functional element along with the sets of questions just brings a little bit of additional focus as you pointed out.
Loved the way the creators linked the physical card deck with additional content (I’ve been thinking how you can extend the ‘card deck’ experience). What do you think?
Its my country office ;) …. We are still unpacking here in Z, and im trying to figure out my “new” studio. Hope to give you a preview soon (and a catchup of course :) ).
So interesting, I kind of notice these behaviour/personality tendencies within people, or even their ideas, just intuitively. That said, I'd never actually realised they were in fact archetypes! Taking advantage of this kind of thinking has opened my mind a little more, thank you!
Yes I have ... but not as a central "piece" The BMI cards (And I have some of their other creations) is an excellent primer or reference for the work I do. The most obvious use case is usually when it comes to ideation to broaden and inspire related activities. I usually hand out the cards to inspuire my team within ideation or discussion (exploration) activities. Do you have a specific use case or idea in mind? ** Thanks for popping past and leaving a comment :)
The only two things that bother me about this mode are: 1. The others see a white block in the places where you add the objects and therefore if two people want to place an object in the same place one of them will necessarily be covered by the other 2. The pen cannot be used Basically I was looking for an app for a game where the players see a "clean" map while the organizer sees another map with points of interest (not visible in the clean map) that the players can stumble upon if they pass through those parts (by drawing a line through that point), and for this I need two superimposed images with the possibility of drawing on them. If only there was an alternative...
Thank for highlighting the "Pen" I never noticed that, but I suspect I know why from a functional perspective - albeit something that might be updated in the future I suspect. Then as for the white block - I found the visibility of the placeholders useful, especially if you're running an activity within a certain area which might lead to folk adding content over each other. I've actually observed folks moving around to make space so, but the time you end private mode, everything's visible. Appreciate the note - always interesting to hear alternative perspectives.
Here's mine 👉 I would love to be remembered as someone who not only earned the trust of those I interacted with but also had a side-splitting sense of humor. Although, let's be real, I still have some work to do on that humor part. 😉
Hi Prateek - i would recommended contacting Marloes the creator of the tool (on LinkedIn). OR you can contact the ladies and Tractiontoolbox.ca in Canada, they might be able to ship it to you. I hope this helps?
I'm using AI art to make a comicbook to teach programming via story telling. Here is the first episode ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ElChNWY8JWQ.html The second is linked at the end of the first, the third is coming out on Feb 13
Your explanation on how to use the cards is very helpful! There's a digital version offered that is less expensive. In your experience, do you think you can use the digital cards in the same logical way you did with the physical cards?
Thanks for the kind note :) - My personal preference is for the physical cards. If you want to plan sessions collaboratively using digital means then I it might make sense but I have never had the need to that. That said - I've been traveling a bit the last couple of months and the extra weight with too many design tools in my bag does take it's toll ;)
