I made a similar algorithm with Rhino inside Revit, even inserting other elements such as furniture... the only detail is that it is required beforehand to prepare the dwg so that the conversion is efficient... if you work under certain protocols in CAD it is very efficient, even modifying the dwg the change is automatic in Revit.
I'm modeling a double wall piping for the diesel system. Is it possible to make a double containment piping in dynamo? I just faked my modelling and use similar concept with pipe having insulation. A smaller primary pipe (carrier pipe CS DN100, inside a bigger secondary pipe (containment pipe CS DN150). Can you help me making a dynamo script for this case? Thanks a lot for your video tutorials. Thanks so much for the comment! Glyph is way more powerful. 1. To your point, you have a tag all not tagged in Revit, but you can only do it in one view at a time. Glyph allows you to tag thousands of views in one go if you'd like. 2. There is no create views by category in Revit out of the box. There is with Glyph. 3. There is no dimension all not dimensioned in Revit out of the box. You can dimension thousands of views with one click with Glyph 4. There is no sheet packing with Revit out of the box. You have to drag and drop each view onto a sheet. Glyph will pack your sheets for you. 5. You can't daisy chain all the above examples with Revit out of the box. With Glyph I can do all of the following with one click - create views, create sheets, dimension, tag, and pack views on a sheet with Glyph bundles. Regarding accuracy - It's up to the end user to model correctly and double check Glyph's work. Glyph is intended to be an 80% tool, so there may be some clean up after running tasks. Even having the geometry override to 0 it still wants to add windows to blank walls. Would also be great to be able to adjust lights by placing points or something, right now it likes to throw random lights on stone walls where you then need to edit that wall until it gives you one without (right now on my 30th reroll to try for no lights). Which brings up another suggestion, multiple edit masks - our project has multiple garage doors but cant mask each of those so the only way to get them to render with similar styles is rerolling the entire wall.
This is like you said, fun. But I wonder how it can be more real world tool for architects and real render, and also are you developing better tools ai render for SketchUp?
helpful for concepts, but cant go further than that as its just randomized designs (based on text input) and cannot produce the exact same design from a different angle, nor provide symmetry .
This looks amazing. I'd love to use this to set up lighting ceiling plans and plumbing enlarged plans for all the toilet rooms and then have a task to automatically add them to a sheet like you did with curtain wall elevations. I currently use tag all for room names but if glyph could help with more specific duct tagging that would be game changing.

When you combine the level and unit name that creates the correct sorted list for the dependent views when I am following along. Our naming scheme is opposite though UNIT 'A' FIRST FLOOR PLAN. If I edit to join the lists in that way though it doesn't create the correct dependent views because now they are grouped by the scope box instead of the level. Is there a way to get our naming scheme but grouped by level in the list to feed to the dependent view node??
the problem is and has always been consistency. You can't take a camera and get the exact same look if you start to walk around and render views from all angles. You also can't move lighting, which relies completely at the guess of AI. The geometry changes slightly as well such as windows, etc. This leaves the product producing a phase I rendering where nothing is quite figured out fully. Veras does the job of giving the "idea" of something before geometry and rendering get more accurate and serious which your higher end 3d software's tackle easily.
