I am a Leeds fan. But I will drop my sword and pay tribute to this black day in football history. Nobody deserves to die at such a young age. I recon England would have won the World Cup in 1958 had they come home.

Hes the only England Manager ever to win a trophy. Yet, I dont think the new Wembley has any lasting memorial to him. That is disappointing.

He is the only England Manager who understood how to pick a Team. You don't always pick the star players, you pick those that will stick to the plan and do what you want them to do.

Watching this interview is amazing it's like travelling through time and witnessing history in the making. He went on to achieve great victories and become a legendary figure in the world of sport. His focus and determination on European success evident from the very beginning.

How come Matt Busby or the owners of Manchester United or whoever made them take the flight faced any charges? It's incredible that no one went prison for this? How Matt Busby lived with himself is beyond me! He was there manager there boss the person who told them what to do and he was more worried about a FA fine then the lifes of the players coz anyone with any sense would not of got on the plane!!

Who on earth would make a program and have that bloke on with the blue shirt and after looking at the footage still put him on the program?? Disrespectful towards Manchester United and the Babes! Just talking complete nonsense! Akso seems like a horrible bloke
@wolfman6941
@wolfman6941 2 месяца назад
The guy in the blue shirt is Brian Hughes. He was a much respected boxing trainer. After his death promoter Frank Warren said: "Between us we made many champions, Manchester legends and shared many good times along the journey that goes back many decades." Commentator Ian Darke described Hughes as "one of my favourite people in the sport". "They should build a statue of him," he added. Hughes spent more than 50 years coaching in the Collyhurst area of the city and was awarded an MBE for his services to the community. There is nothing in his reminiscing that is disrespectful to the Busby Babes. In future do your bloody homework before you type your crap.

Thanks Wooddya, Good excerpt detailing how Stein shows a unique appreciation of the game in the management field-meanwhile Busby's life takes a tragic turn with the Munich air disaster, and he must rely on his faith as he fights for his life!

Wooddya, Thanks-great instalment! The lads now leaving their unique marks on the game. Matt develops his 'Babes' and revolutionises Man. Utd., as Bill leaves his mark on lower clubs-including humorously his 'doping methods'! Good contributions from well-known faces such as Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Jackie Blanchflower.

Wooddya, Thanks for this interesting instalment touching on the ties between religion and club allegiances. These played a big part in the Protestant Stein joining Celtic-in this case a negative part-and a positive one in the case of Busby whose religious faith rubbed off on his Man. Utd. club following!
