I can't speak for baby ape. I've always wanted to fly one but I built one slightly bigger. If you're worried about crashing alot and hurting the props I would honestly say the mobula8. But this has several factors for your decision. 1. Tiny whoop or freestyle frame 2. Indoor flying or outdoor flying. 3. H.D or analog. The mobula8 is now h.d or analog depending on the models The baby ape is analog but it looks like you can mount an h.d vtx to it. But then there's a weight issue. Also looks like you would have to upgrade the the aio flight controller for that. Honestly If it is your first drone I would say mobula8 or a betaflight whoop. Both are 1 and 2s compatible. And fun little backyard rippers. The 1103 motors on the mobula8 are pretty awesome for a newbie. The decision is yours truly. I believe the baby ape is a good drone spec wise. (Once again never flown one) How ever the mobula8 is an awesome versatile drone. Easy to work on. (No soldering required for most parts) with abundance of spare parts available How ever with that said. The baby ape has one thing that the mobula8 doesn't. The baby ape is 3s compatible. The mobula8 will only do 1 and 2s lipos (up to 450 mah) Honestly as I'm typing this out I'm talking my self into the baby ape. If you do get the baby ape get space props. Alot of them. Crashing is going to happen props will get destroyed. And it's honestly the cheapest item on a drone
@@WhiteTrashFPV ok also the thing is i am not going to fly indoor only outdoors and i dont have a backyard so i am mostly going to fly in parks and places where there are no people i really like the looks of the baby ape i heard a lot of positive about it. also i heard that the mobula 8 frame breaks really easy in comparison to the baby ape pro v2 that is made of carbon fiber. taking all of that in mind i actually think the baby ape would be a better choice dont u think too? i also think that its the baby ape is better because of 2s and 3s lipos i dont think i would fly the mobula 8 in 1s outside so i think its good to start with 2s and then later go to 3s or should i immediatly start with 3S?
I agree the baby ape would be a better drone for you. When I built my folder 3.5 inch it came with 2 straps. One kind of short and one kind of long. (I'm assuming the baby ape is the same way) the short one is to big for 2s. Even though it says it can do 2s I would recommend 3s I like the freestyle frames better than the whoop frames too. Not only are they sturdy but I never been a fan of landing on the battery. I much rather have it on top of the drone. Since you're going to be flying outside. I do think the baby ape os good for you
Right on man! Are you in horizon? You are ready for acro if you are! Never mind, jumped the gun on my comment! I haven’t been able to fly for some days thanks to weather, work, getting ready for a road trip and timing.
OMG, thank you so much for your information. I had f*cking click reset setting in beta flight and you video is help my life. Once again, thank you so much
im glad i could help! i been there my self and found very little! check out some of my other videos for how to save your settings for the esc and fc. i have them both for cli and gui!
Looking great out there 💪 I need to come check this park out one of these days. Maybe I missed it but didn’t see a request but if you still want to meet up, just let me know.
@@WhiteTrashFPV you’re doing great! That’s really nice. I have a 30 minute lunch but wouldn’t matter if it was longer because I work where there is absolutely no flying.
Hey bud, your control gets better every single flight 👊 It is a great place to have room to practice stuff, definitely certain times of day are better than others for flying there. If you ever want to meet up and bs/fly/have a beer and bs about flying, let me know!
Yeah for sure. I figured that was the case for there. its definitely great space, kind of what i been looking for but nothing really on the south hill large enough where i feel comfortable practicing with my 5 inch just yet. tbh it been fly mostly in angle i want to switch to acro soon. and get better practice with that but want to get more confident with turns before i switch up and go beast mode. for sure. id love to i think believe your on our facebook group? i could add you?
@@WhiteTrashFPV I flew there today, pretty empty for about 30 minutes, then it was nuts! There is a school on the other side of all the fields that was empty, big field and stuff there too. Are you in the Spokane FPV group? I don’t go on there much, just a few random stop ins to see if anything exciting is happening. Yeah, send me a request 👍
@smithe68 I'm guessing it's that time of the year. Weather is nice every one wants out. I am apart of that group admittedly I really only use f.b for messenger
@@WhiteTrashFPV I’ve run Ben Burr Trail and by that park many times and thought it would be a cool place to fly. Sounds like it’s not the safest. I have flown a couple parks that I felt uncomfortable at, luckily I have a few friends that I fly with a lot so usually not flying solo.
@@smithe68 it might be safe but everytime i check it out theres always some one down there starting a fire or looking like theyre up to something. since I fly solo (or with my dog) i dont feel the safest when i cant see whats around me there so i opt to drive up the hill. since i now know the range (kinda) theres the park and ride down the street from where i fly with a nice big field and no fences there. it looks like a fun place to cruise
Hey man, the motors when armed without props on will always speed up. That's expected behavior. I know props off the bench is proper but that always throws off beginners cause it is scary as hell
Dude, I just watched 8 of your BetaFlight videos, and I had to use close caption text as your audio is unclear. Not 100% bad, but... deep, rumble continues. Not You, its the mike, or somewthing. :) Thanks for all tyhe information though. Have a Great Day!
Odd. I watched them before I uploaded. Sounded clear. Not great but clear. I know at the time I had a fan running but it didn't pick it up. Makes me wonder if RU-vid had a compression issue
the build looks clean and that frame is good i got the same one and its withstood quite some abuse :D those motors have to low kv for 3s for sure im pretty confindent that it wont fly well on 3s if the motor can hold up to it i recommand you put 650mAh or 550mAh 6s lipos on that copter the 35A ESC can handle that i used it for 3.5inch 6s builds before i run 2850kv motors on 6s for my 3.5inch builds ^^
Really digging what FlyFishRC is putting out frame wise. The stock battery pad looked good but it is pretty useless, I use others that are stickier as well. Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing it in the air!
Thanks! I am too. Honestly I'm starting to rethink how I have the 03 hard mounted. I'm thinking maybe I should swap them out from the 2mm hard mounts to either a ring or 2mm shock pad
@@WhiteTrashFPV for what it’s worth, none of my vtxs are soft mounted, except for one that is literally double sided taped to the frame, and I have no issues.
you can! honestly i build usually in stages when i build a quad, i budget my self out on what i can afford that pay check, but to be fair on this one i spent my tax check on so i got it all at once
@@WhiteTrashFPV it is its really awesome to get in some flight time i havent really decided if i wanna start posting on yt but i am thinking of my account is @Hansterzerofpv
