I’m sorry love the video but I have a question once you do the earlybird $20. How do you go about making the purchase? I cannot seem to do it. Can someone please help me?
Designing the file to account for the shape difference isn’t the issue, the issue is when using the laser horizontally, how does one account for the different measurements in regards to the distance the laser is from the surface of the material?
I follow you for 3d engraving. I have the 20w vision. I downloaded a 3d image from Etsy. I set it up on the we creat software but when I click on start I get a message that says current firmware version does not support this operation. The file is a jpeg
You should offer it with the option of diode or IR. I have your 20 W. machine, I don't need a second diode laser. I'm in my 70's and hands are not as steady as they once were so don't want to have to switch laser heads. Offer it with the option of diode or IR I suspect a number of people who already have the 20 or 40 watt machine would consider purchasing another just for the convenience of not switching modules, I know I would. Also is the rotary from the 20 W. machine compatible with the vista.
Our Facebook homepage will have a live stream announcement, so please remember to subscribe! The next live stream is on October 4th at 7 PM. Looking forward to seeing you there.
You keep talking about what you are seeing on your computer screen, but we can't see it. That's very frustrating for a beginner. You were talking about doing a full wrap on the bottle, but didn't finish your thought. How do we prevent the overlapping of the design?
Please explain what you meant at 33:24. You said you need to mirror your image whenever engraving a dark surface like acrylic. That doesn't make sense to me because if you mirror words they will be backwards. I understand mirroring on the backside of something, like mirror but not the front side of anything. Please clarify this
I already have the 20 watt machine, I don't need another diode laser. Would be nice if you offered it with our choice of diode or IR. At your introductory sale price I think there are many who would purchase the vista for the IR if it didn't have to be purchased as an add on.
However, we want the current machines we paid good money for to be fully compatible with Lightburn. That is the main thing we have been asking for. Sure this new machine is great, but I can't afford to buy another machine to be able to use Lightburn. I want my WeCreat Vision to be FULLY compatible with Lightburn. When are you going to give us that????
I am going to criticize WeCreat as a company and their products. I can personally testify to what I'm about to share as an owner of the WeCreat Version 20-watt laser. I’ve gone through three units of the 20-watt lasers from WeCreat, and each experience has been unpleasant. My first WeCreat laser was a nightmare. It arrived damaged, and corresponding with tech support was nothing short of ridiculous. The WiFi didn’t work, the power cord was loose, and the crumb tray was nearly impossible to remove or slide back in. The camera was way off, even after calibration. For every issue, tech support placed the blame on me. Mind you, the back-and-forth correspondence lasted over a month. Additionally, WeCreat does not do exchanges, even if the unit arrives damaged. Eventually, I got them to accept a return. Once the return was completed, I ordered another one. That too was sent back for many of the same reasons. My final order arrived in decent condition, though the crumb tray was again impossible to insert or remove. The unit had to be tilted to remove or insert the tray. And the camera? You guessed it! Still not acceptable. After owning all three units and spending a lot of time watching WeCreat’s live shows on RU-vid, I noticed that this company seems more focused on pushing out products than fixing engineering problems. In their Q&A sessions, they often ignore questions that are relevant to my issues or blame the user. The fact is, there are too many flaws going unaddressed, and the company is not taking responsibility by recalling or fixing the issues with their newer models. Some of WeCreat’s concepts are also inconsistent with other brands. For instance, swapping out the 20/40-watt module for the 10-watt one is unnecessarily complicated. There’s no easy way to switch back from the 10-watt to the 20/40-watt module for different projects. Using the rotary attachment is also time-consuming to install. Some people may disagree about the rotary installation, but they likely haven’t tried other laser brands to see the difference. Then there’s the camera. Many people don’t realize that WeCreat uses one of the cheapest lenses on the market: a fisheye lens. This means to get a precise image of your project, it must be dead center under the camera. The further your item is from the center, the more your laser projects will be misaligned. The WiFi is another issue. The original WeCreat Vision 20-watt uses the cheapest WiFi chipset, which only works on a 2.4 GHz network. You can’t connect the WeCreat to a 5.0 GHz network, and some batches of the Vision have known WiFi drop issues. Oh, that crumb tray! Anyone who has used the WeCreat Vision will absolutely understand my frustrations. The crumb tray is a major flaw, and WeCreat should have issued a recall. For two years, I’ve dealt with WeCreat’s customer service, which is one of the worst I’ve encountered compared to other laser companies. There are bad ones out there, but WeCreat is just as bad. From deceptive marketing to ineffective troubleshooting, in my opinion, WeCreat is not an honest company. They flood social media by giving out massive amounts of units for promotion while implying they’ve sold hundreds, which they haven’t. Most of the units were giveaways to make it look like they were trending. Now WeCreat has come out with the WeCreat Vista. Why? Because xTool has a laser specifically for home crafters: the xTool M1 Ultra. The fact is, there’s nothing new about the Vista, and it still has limitations compared to the xTool M1 Ultra. Here's the big difference: the xTool M1 Ultra is a true 4-in-1 crafting machine. It comes with a 10-watt or 20-watt module. It can laser, cut, print, and draw. Every module can be swapped out with ease-just slide it in and out, with no screws or attachments needed. The duct hose is magnetic with a built-in fan and can be attached on the left or right-again, no screws required. The unit is upgradable and comes with four utility blades: fine point, ultra point, foil, and rotary. You’re not limited to specific pens, as you can use Cricut or third-party brands. The xTool is so versatile that it could replace your Cricut or Brother cutters. Most importantly, xTool lasers are incredibly accurate! They laser exactly where you want them to, thanks to the pinpoint system, which WeCreat can't even come close to matching in terms of accuracy. I am not sponsored or paid by xTool. I am 100% convinced by xTool’s company and products. After owning several laser brands, there’s nothing quite like xTool. Aside from WeCreat, I also own the xTool S1 and recently bought the xTool M1 Ultra. From high-quality builds to excellent customer service, I wholeheartedly recommend them. For me, xTool is the only laser company that will fix a flawed job and work with you to get it done. Plus, xTool is one of the few laser companies that constantly innovates. Buying an xTool product is like buying an Apple product-you get what you pay for. In conclusion, I don’t want to see WeCreat fail. To succeed, they need major changes. I’m not sure if WeCreat is only in it for the money, but I hope not, and I wish they would evaluate their foundation. They have a good concept for laser products, but too many flaws and an unwillingness to acknowledge them will only drive the company in the wrong direction. If it were up to me, I’d overhaul their customer service and design teams. This would ensure a better relationship with customers and better product outcomes.
The Vista has been amazing for my projects-small and compact but can still handle larger items like 40 oz tumblers, metal, and wood. I especially love the flipping laser for side and top engraving. If you're interested, I talk more about it on my channel!
Two important things to know when connecting to the internet (as of Sept 17, 2024): 1) Your router needs to be set to 2.4G. You can have both 5G and 2.4G signals coming from your router at the same time if you're still wanting 5G. 2) The name of your router / SSID cannot contain any spaces! This was difficult for me to figure out. Our SSID had three words with spaces and it would only read the first word. Even if the router was set to 2.4G, the WeCreat will not connect or recognize your router properly unless it is all one word. Once those two things are configured you'll be able to connect perfectly!
This has been extremely helpful. Thank you so much for taking the time to make a video. I have your 40w laser, it's awesome! The software has a little bit of a learning curve. May I suggest having more presets for materials. It would also be nice for the time countdown to be on screen while the laser is doing a project not just the progress bar. All around wonderful product! One question...for the extender rails can you make as short as you want? Thanks & God Bless! 🤗
