I went hiking here once when I was like 5. Ended up not going to the top and ending up playing at the lake while the rest of the McCausland family finished the hike My great great uncle Norm would probably be slightly annoyed if he knew
I've lived in Edgewood, Washington for 40 years and didn't know Mowich Lake existed. As it turns out, Mowich Lake is only about 16 miles from my house. I have a special request for anyone who owns a 4k HD video camera (Go-Pro etc.) to make a video like this one?
I love hiking videos from Washington state - WITHOUT MUSIC! The ambient sounds of nature are what I want to hear. I can play my own music, thank you very much.
The continuous wind against the nearby jagged peak produces a sound effects-like howl as if from a spooky movie. Maybe that attributes to its name 'Gothic' basin🤔
I love your hikes, just found your vlog. What beautiful country. But you pan way too fast ... those images of the mushrooms were gone in a second, way too fast. You have a fantastic eye for what's interesting and for framing the screen. Just gotta get you to slow down. The video here that's 41 seconds long, should have been at least four times that long ... slow down, take it easy. Keep up the good work.
Nice video. I can get a real feel for the hike. You do angles, and panning really well. Thank you. We did the other side, Heybrook Ridge yesterday. The weather was wonderful and the views were great.
Yes during December. I would check Mount Rainier Webcams and current conditions on the National Park Service website for current conditions before going. www.nps.gov/mora/planyourvisit/road-status.htm
I love this!! This was my favorite Hike we did last year. It was beautiful!! All of my footage from that hike was corrupted. We already are planning to go back to hunt larches this year.
I went there but ít was closed, so I went to lake Crescent last week. I made a video about lake Crescent. I will back some day for this falls. I Love your video very nice and helpful 👍
Ok, I am DEFINITELY going to have to check this place out now! I recently went to the Wallaby Ranch near Snoqualmie. I love the music you added to this video! Very well done, also nice to see the other critters there. Here's a look at the OTHER kangaroo ranch in WA: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f6CnD3zVAbg.html Please let me know what you think!
May I have the name of the look out ? How long it takes to get your hike up there? Are the children be able to go this hike? Thanks. Beautiful and serene journey.
The name of the lookout is Heybrook Fire Lookout. It takes around 45 min to an hour to get to the top. The trail is kid friendly and in good condition.
Hi! I loved your footage. I would be grateful if you could grant permission to use a series of short segments (no more than 15 seconds in total) for Geodiode's "Biomes" series - the intro which you can find here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o_AfNcjlOgU.html You will receive an on-screen credit in the bottom left corner as your clip is shown, along with a credit at the end of the video, and a credit and link to your video in the accompanying text to the video. Thank you! Richard Research Assistant Geodiode
I visited Heybrook last year for the first time, and it's such a beautiful hike and view point. I would totally recommend it! Those clouds were so moody though. You went on a good day!
