Not a horrible list... But let me give me 2 cents. This is coming from someone that taught at multiple schools from SFQC phase 2 small unit tactics instructor, Urban Search & Rescue Course, Mountain Warfare Course and many more schools I personally attended pertaining to this sort of stuff like SEAR school. First things first, movement is key in 90% of the scenarios. I am going to play the _bad guy_ here. You and your loved ones decide to ride out the storm and bunker down in your house. I spot the house and I decide I want whatever you have on the inside. You take out your firearm and tell me to _pound sand_. Me and a few of my friends start setting the house on fire leaving 1 entrance open forcing you to come out (likely choking on smoke and eyes watering) with smoke billowing out the door. We would know where you are, but you don't see us, and you hear a _"drop your gun or get die!"_ I think we know how the rest of the story goes... Everything you have that I want is now mine and in a more realistic situation, you would probably get capped by someone not as nice. Wait! You have a safe room! Can't get me in here! Air has to come from somewhere. Someone's coming out when a house starts pouring water down that vent... Could even be diesel fuel or gasoline and then lit on fire... I understand bunkering down in there is radioactivity for a week to allow the radon levels to drop down to close to 1/10,000. After that, sitting ducks, looters will be going EVERYWHERE to take what they want. People will be leaving the city in droves just looking for food and anything else they can use. Many with very sinister motives. Generalized list of what a pack'out' should look like: 1. A quality 3-4 day pack (Rucksack if you have your family) but they can carry small packs also! 2. Water purification / "LifeStraw good for 1000g water" / know how to purify water (wood ash, mud clay etc.) and know where to find water. 3. A good pair lightweight hiking boots. 4. Small BB gun - Many laugh at this until I say why. Most game (birds etc.) can be hunted with 1 cheap bb and it's 'quiet' / no unwanted attention. 5. At least 25x feet of 550 cord (preferable) or paracord. Can be used for new shoelaces, the guts can be used for stitching clothes to skin. 6. A trauma kit - Israeli bandage x2, x2 tourniquets, rubber gloves, ibuprofen +Tylenol, space blanket, QuikClot etc. 7. Map, protractor and compass - Don't know how to convert grid to compass? Better learn old school map reading navigation at least terrain association. 8. A high quality flashlight! 9. Rations / dried foods that are lightweight and high in energy such as military MRE's along with Salt and sugar. Good tasting food effects moral! 10. Fire kit / Tin can with lid with small hole on top. Add magnesium, pieces of cotton linen etc. Can heat the can and dehydrate the linen so it fires easy. I would list a firearm, but if you are traveling without a firearm, you would have to be amongst the dumbest people in the history of earth. People will boil back to their basic animal like human instincts. Mom's will murder to feed their children; men will do much worse. So, a firearm, preferably something that can be concealed or hidden easily, should always be on your person. Look as non-military / non-tactical as possible. If you look like a WW3 operator, people will likely shoot first and ask questions next. I am addressing this for some real SHTF situation, but why not be as ready as possible for worse case scenarios? If you are ready for the worse, you are likely good for lesser situations etc. The event / situation / area could change the list drastically. If it is winter in Alaska and I lived there, I would likely swap some items for ECWCS gear. Middle of the city, desert terrain etc.

It is worth looking at how the NVA and Viet Cong moved tons of supplies on the Ho Chi Minh trail. They ised modified bicycles. They would load hundreds of pounds of supplies onto the bikes,then walk beside them pushing the bikes like a cart along the jungle trails.

Be careful not to purchase anything with Natural Flavor or Flavor aditives = HEK293 Human Embrionic Kidney Cells from a company [SENOMYX], therewas a time you could check YT & see this information there, but they pulled it, but it'sstill being added to regular & some organic prepared foods.. Avoid anything with artificial vanilla, or vanilla flavor [It Must read 100% Vanilla Extract (from Vanilla beans), otherwise it could come from a lab, the hind leg of the Platypus, or the rectum of a beaver (I believe it was a beaver). Do some research. God ✝️ bless us & guide us during the times ahead. Amen 🙌❣ Maranatha 💜 ✝️ 🕊 🙌❣

once water is boiling, any pathogens are dead. There's no reason to bother with 5 more minutes. Pathogens are almost all dead at just Pasteurization temps, 165F degrees. by the time you heat the water another 50F degrees, Bacterial spores, etc, are dead.
@SurvivalScope101
@SurvivalScope101 Месяц назад
Hey, Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. You are correct about the pathogens, however it is still recommended to go 3 minutes to kill pathogens... but what about viruses and bacteria which is often found in lakes, ponds and streams? Even more so in urban areas. Hepatitis A - Salmonella

Completely AI generated content. Current AI generated content needs data to create content. This video adds no value to the EDC world and is too vague to help anyone new to EDC. There's so many other channels that can add value to someone looking to expand their EDC knowledge and most include medical and tactical information. Don't waste your time on this channel.

I appreciate your comment, Thank you. However, if you paid attention to the video, you will have learned that not everyone's EDC will be the same. EDC essentials. It's about what YOU need for YOUR EDC. If you are the type of person that regularly gets a paper-cut, or a BoBo, then you may need a Bandaid in YOUR EDC.
