I wish I could get mine to charge I'm going through hell with my alternator ls swap into k 3500 anyway a old hot rodder form the motor city can' get a hold over yea by phone
Thanks for a great video there are not too many for MSD I’m trying to make my webers carbs running good with my MSD box do you have any idea on graphic and tuning for those Thanks
I bought the regulated pump of it (7psi) but recently I mounted a regulator to have a return line in the system and I am wonder if I can de-regulate the pump to 14psi like the red SS pump.
Hum....no comments? ok, I'll start. I have had the Terminator X max for two years and never even new about this table, I bet most people don't want to play with this, for me I have a LS7 C3 corvette and putting in a BTR stage 4 camshaft, just raised the compression to 12-1 and ported heads, now I'm worried about the 35 degrees of overlap faltering the O2 sensor. guess I will need to just play with it, thanks for the vid!
I’ve swapped my lq9 with a tbss intake. I’m using some unknown ls2 style injectors. I converted it over to a corvette filter/regulator should I set up the fuel maps for return or return less?
@@flipit7854 thanks a bunch I’ll give this a try. It’s a 02 Silverado LQ9 swapped, I used my LS2 injectors from my 2005 C6 (fbo at the time of purchase) so I didn’t know exactly what size they were but the part number is bosch injectors. So I didn’t know if they were 32s, 36s, 42, or 46s. But it Seems like even when I get the VE map dialed in close to -3, and 4 it still spudders and pops at cruising at highway speeds and heavy acceleration I’ve tinkered around with the injector timing boundary, I’ve had my timing super low under 2k rpm made it slow down a lot. But at 14degrees it seems to drag. I’m literally about to pull my hair with this thing 😂
So the righ lt throttle body will help you sort this out ? I’m doing the same thing at the moment and haven’t gotten to this stage How did you get a cable for the pedal etc ?? Regards
Hi there sir have a 48 LS engine where is a carburetor I put the MSD 6414 on it started it up but if I give it gas it backfires and won't take gas it's a nightmare can't find nobody to help me I am so frustrated I spent $3,000 and it won't run right I just backfired when i gave it gas i thank i got a dad MSd i ofder another one
My question, I guess is. Did you check specs on both spacers? As a machinist of 11 years. I would assume it's just a matter of opening up. The old spacer. Period but if you don't have equipment to do this, I completely understand. I'm just curious what's the differences I d n o d diameters
I know this is old and im just looking for information from anyone, where is the best place to look for me to learn about tuning? Just looking to have an idea of what im looking at and hoping to be able to work on my own cars
I get it completely Ive had mine setup the same way since before seeing your video, but I have to re-pin my flex sensor ground because I’m having intermittent signal loss so I haven’t been able to Run E in my truck to test it yet.
Also to make a 30% decrease in the VE table you just type in -30% and send it. My first video was before they had that option in the software so it was one cell at a time back then.
Nice job Great looking electrical work like to see how this comes out you should do laundry buddy stuff it's very interesting and what's in right now keep pushing out great content🎉
Old topic, but I have no idea. Pressure drops to 0PSI at idle. Power cables approx. 14v voltage comes out of the relay. New fuel lines, same diameter everywhere. Help
Typically zero psi would be a set point on your fuel pressure regulator since this pump is pushing 14 psi at 14V all the time I placed my pressure regulator 18 in away for my main inlet line to the carburetor Unscrew the jam nut and either loosen or tighten to adjust fuel pressure this will be very difficult without a fuel pressure gauge Be aware that some of the Chinese fuel pressure gauges do not function correctly and you may need to source a more expensive US made fuel pressure gauge hopefully this will help you.
@@deperformance9741 thanks for the quick reply. I didn't have time to test it, but my setup is the Aeromotive SS Fuel Pump 11203, the Aeromotive SS 13205 regulator, the fuel filter in front of the pump Aeromotive Aei-12304 100Microns pump, and the aeromotive aei15632 pressure gauge. Only what I think can be a strainer on the float in the tank. this is fitted to a corvette c3 1980 stroker 383
Sometimes when you are filming you tend to leave out little tidbits like that when I do videos now I try to leave a lot of those little details in There is quite a few videos on the internet on how to crimp the plug terminals Summit racing has one on their RU-vid channel it is pretty much the same procedure
@@deperformance9741 Thanks. Your video was one of the first that came up, but I found the answer pretty easy after watching this one. No disrespect, thank you for putting up the info that you did. If anyone is wondering, strip back about 3/4” x from final Length, fold the spiral core wire back and crimp On the back side of the metal clamp.
The cam is not that big it's just a mild cam 550/550 220 on the duration 114 on the LSA Anything bigger than that and I would probably check piston to valve clearance I'm not sure how much you can get away with the lq9 piston
Well I'm not sure now I just tried to click on the link and it says not found let me get back to you on that part number I think I have it somewhere in the garage
Try turning the motor over several times and then prime if that doesn't work try full rotations of 360° then start your prime If you still do not see oil coming to the top end I would probably pull the push rods out and blow air through them to make sure there is no garbage stuck in the passageway
USB cable with the old style GoPro end unless it is the older 6010 box takes that really old serial Port cable You might have to check Holly's website for the software just go under support and type in 6014 MSD box Holly acquired MSD some years ago If that doesn't work try calling their support directly and see if you can get one of their USB drives with the software on it
I know this video was done a while ago I don't plan on taking it down this is just another way that people can wire in the alternator Please excuse the crappy wiring job I was in the middle of this project and trying to figure everything out
